    Storm is so underrated and talented. His impact on the bboy community and scene is so strong.

      He's definitely not underrated. You're misinformed if you think that people in the breakdance (or breaking) community underrate him. He's considered one of the most active promotors of the breakdance and hip-hop culture, and, furthermore, he's often credited for being one of the few people that revived breakdancing (directly in Europe and possibly indirectly in the rest of the world). By the way, he won two of the first editions of the Battle of the Year with his crew Battle Squad. Furthermore, he's been the judge of breaking events like Red Bull BC One.

    6:30 so you better get used to this position... rofl

  • @elijohnson9055

    Awesome tutorial, sad that the basic position of sitting on your heels is so terrible for your knees over time. For long term knee health, you should NEVER put your knees in front of your feet when squatting down. This is one big reason why bboying is bad for your joint health. (physician and semi retired bboy whose knees only recovered after he stopped training regularly)

    • @CubixHour
      @CubixHour 8 лет назад +11

      Which way are your knees supposed to go then when you're squatting? Knees only bend one way so your statement is almost complete bullshit

    • @Woef718
      @Woef718 8 лет назад +6

      +Eli Johnson thats why storm is still rockin footwork like he is 20 years old. I think you probably had wrong technique. When I started footwork training my knees also hurted. This was because i did not used my arms that much to support my body.

    • @Kenjinap
      @Kenjinap 6 лет назад +2

      This position is not the problem, because your weight goes straight to your feet, not to your knees. It is different from the usual gym squat when you just put them in front of the feet, because then the stress really goes to your knees, as you are not standing on top of your heels.
      The problem is when you leave this position to do footwork, improper technique will eventually hurt your knees, which is probably what happened to you.

      Weight plays a big part that's why you got to be in shape like storm

      @@Kenjinap hi, just started bboying recently so would like to know more about this. Can you be more specific about what the correct form is? I try to keep my weight on my toes, is this right?
