Yes, the churches in that part of the world are amazing. And it’s hard to believe that many of them were pretty well destroyed during World War II. There has been a lot of rebuilding going on since then. Poland is a very Catholic country. Many folks still attend church weekly.
Loving the Poland videos! Say, that was a lot of MEAT in that display. Maybe $3k worth even! Certainly a carnivore's dream. BTW, that lard spread is called smalec and its usually topped with onions and pickles
Yes, that was a lot of meat in those display cases. I’m sure way over $3000 worth. Would really hate for the power to go out in that place. I was a little hesitant to try that lard spread. This was early afternoon and I had a lot of walking to do yet that day. Wasn’t sure how that was going to sit in my stomach. The first time it was served to us at one of our group meals, our tour guide told us what it was. The last night we were at a big gathering and they again had smalec and rye bread. I got more adventurous and actually had quite a bit of it. It was really good with the crunchy bits inside.
[OBJ] Wrocław looks so beautiful and peaceful 💖 Glad you enjoyed your trip. My brother is getting married in Poland next year, but I'm not sure where yet.
It was a very beautiful place. Poland seems to be a popular place to have weddings. That castle we were visiting had a wedding that was about to start. Also, bachelor parties are all over the place in the cities we visited. We were warned to keep our distance as those tend to get a bit rowdy. Lots of cheap (but good) vodka flowing into those guys.
Right…. we were really struggling with that. We looked at the spelling of words and as soon as one of those letters has a dash or a dot or a slash, it threw us way off. I learned that the Polish alphabet has 36 letters. But, from what I understand once you know the special rules, you can read and pronounce just about any Polish word correctly. Unfortunately, we didn’t do that learning before we got there. Thank you for the compliment about our travel videos. We very much like seeing new things and learning along the way.
This was my first time to Poland. I been to a few of the other countries in Mitteleuropa. This is an amazing part of the world. I definitely want you to make another return.
Great video, Rob! An especially beautiful church at the end, nothing like those junk megachurches we have in the USA!

Meat counter making me wish I knew Polish.
I wish I would have taken a bit more time wondering around that market. It was pretty amazing.
