for those who dont know; double shot means the lettering goes all the way through the keycap. unlike other gaming keyboards where the paint around the lettering wears away turning it into an rgb splotch
I had a full size for many years with these switches, and it lasted me many moves but it finally broke when I spilled water all over it… so I bought another because I liked it so much
@@torakandwolf6786 Yes its still good, I have several Corsair keyboards and all of them with mechanical switch's are awesome and rugged and work really great with iCue software to control lights
Yo! Nice vid. Been waiting for this. If anyones looking for a kb like this but cheaper i recommend the redragon k586 brahma. (Dont recommend pro version cuz its more expensive and its optical switches and since its hotswap and the only optical switches outemu has are brown and blue.) So get the normal version. Its like $80 at msrp and its very good!
People complain about the ping on these switches, but I had them for 4 years, and I didn’t even notice until someone said something about it in a video, super nitpick imo
This like Corsairs own k580! It’s so cool especially with the logo oh and can’t forget the volume wheel I love them! And keep up the excellent work I dream of surpassing!
I bought this keyboard from Amazon and ended sending it back. These boards lack some kind of sound dampening material. When pressing the keys you get a hollow sound and a clacky ding to some of the keys. It's really quite noisy and hurts my ears over time. The Aluminum is a premium feel unfortunately they forgot to transfer that over to the keys as well.
@@traidorzzz1203 after going through many keyboards from many different price ranges this is definetly worth it, it'll last you a long time and has a lot more pros than cons
I am thinking to buy a tkl keyboard in 150$ but this one doesn't include a wrist rest :( can you tell me that is it comfortable to use without wrist rest?
i just got these the other day. I think the only real complaint I have is every time i press down on a key, theres an echo from the key caps pressing down against the aluminum frame. It's almost like a pinging sound. It will either not bother you or it will really bother you.
I like that they went for an island-style keyboard but didn't leave the back of it open, because I have a keyboard that doesn't have that, and because my screen is a TV that's basically level to the desk, so it'll always shine on the screen and it's super annoying. I also like the secondary switches are rubber domes instead of those awful clicky cheap tactile switches.
From my experience this keyboard had some pretty rough downsides, the keyboard legs on it are pretty bad for a $150.00 keyboard, one of them broke after 4 months of use purely from normally flipping them up and down, as i prefer it to be flat when gaming and high when typing, not only that but the volume wheel on it already malfunctions too as it will not accurately turn my volume up and down and it tends to be very janky.... as turning up the volume will sometimes turn it down... and viceversa, overall though the keys feel good, it sounds good, it's a great looking keyboard and the RGB is top notch, but those build defects it comes with are very dissapointing for a $150.00 keyboard.
@@fmt_piggy I purchased the optical version and on the box/website it shows only the usb-C cable is included. It's not as clear on the box though. Easy to miss and I sure did untill reviews like this kept showing those extra WSAD caps.

I'm heavily considering this because it will be easy to clean and it looks amazing. Definitely getting custom caps though. Also I've had Corsair products before and they are great.
I really wish these companies would get away from Cherry mx they are decent don’t get me wrong but when spending over 129.99 or higher definitely would like to see a better switch or just go straight to optical laser or magnetic.

I bought this, I like it.

I saw this as a display at my local microcenter, and I was surprised that it sounded so thocky for a stock gaming keyboard
just ordered this today. should be arriving on 10th May! Can't wait.
How is it?
Thinking of picking one up myself
Appreciate the UK link in the description 👍

Great review but you didn’t go over if you can change the switches or not 🧐
ive had this for maybe a year now and its great but REAL loud
way louder than the video
Hey man custom cable will do just fine here? Even though it says on tech spec the usb it has is usb 3.0
Has Corsair improved fhe quality of the "gamer" caps? The textured ones. I had them on my old board and they fell apart.
I seriously wished this kb would’ve had a wrist rest, I can’t handle just laying my wrist on my desk
Then buy a 10 dollar wrist rest, they're usually better anyways
the best gaming keyboard for going pro in valorant Heads up

mine has a pinging noise to it everytime I hit a key is that normal if not how can I fix it?
What is the difference about red switch and speed switch and which one sounds bettter?
The textured grey buttons wear through pretty quickly.

I wonder if you can order new ones from Corsair?

My only con I can see off of it is that it doesn’t have a wrist rest which can be nice for extended periods of time.
