I used to live in Brampton growing up from the 90s until right around when I finished high school in 2005. Moved out of there in 2006/2007 and although it seemed great growing up there around this era, I would never move back and I don't want to live there.
I always hear how much crime rate there is now. It's way too crowded for my liking. It's just not the same as back then. I prefer living in the Niagara region where I live now.

You got out just as it got bad. Born and raised in Brampton in the 80s. I used to walk to Hasty Market in the L Section to buy milk and get candy with the change when I was only 6. I wouldn't even do that now as an adult. It's not the same city.

I live in Brampton and there are many problems people coming here should know, like are worsening drug problem, many streets are plagued with meth heads that will bother you for change for there next dose, secondly is are worsening gang culture this is a rather big problem that ruins schools turning them into war grounds we have several cases of gang violence every year, shoot outs that go unnoticed and we have really bad drivers, car crashes at every corner lots of kids and elderly get ran over, last week alone 3 people have died it's rather sad, i myself have seen 3 people die on the main roads an old man and a mother and her child
com at your own risk, beside all of these bads it's an ok place with lots of anti-social people, that is if you can even under stand what there saying as many don't know how to speak English or French.
oh and housing is really bad 1 and 3 people live in a over crowded house i myself used to live with 5 people in a two bedroom house a very common thing in brampton as a 2 bedrooms is over 2200 now and growing as this is Canada : )

Make sure you have car insurance … and protection ,
They have Chinese/South East Asian armed cops working at the main lobby of their Davis Courthouse at 7755 Hurontario who are straight from the mental asylum or a drug rehab and are a threat to the public safety. They throw up their arms in the air, then when you ask them "Why are you chucking your hands all over the place" they scream hysterically "Are you not afraid of me?!"
