Smooth 6 might be out of date by now with v7, you should give the ReaperTips theme a try, it's a modern version of that theme that also looks much better IMO.

What is the script you're using for auto renaming takes?

Reaper is definitely the best DAW for the price. That said, I didn't see any features here that just don't exist in Cubase Pro, at least not version 14. Granted it costs a LOT more. Ultimately the best DAW is the one that the engineer is familiar with. It's like Canon vs. Nikon-great results are possible with either. If I was starting fresh I would probably go with Reaper but Cubase still has everyone beat on the Piano Roll/Midi Tools and I've gotten used to it over the past 6-7 years.

it's not about just features because most daws share 80-90% of the same features, it's about the workflows. Technically, you can do most in other daws, but it's the flexibility of reaper that lets you do things much faster and easier than other daws.

@@ranajoyshil Sure but "faster" and "easier" is a matter of experience and perspective. I promise you, a person with 10+ years of experience in Cubase or Logic can do things faster and with less effort than someone who just started using Reaper. Maybe it takes less time to close that gap in Reaper because the interface and features are just so perfectly done-that's noteworthy. I think it's a slight exaggeration though. If Reaper is ahead of all other DAWs it's by a hair, not a mile.

confirm from my side that Reaper is just waaay ahead in comparison to other DAWS and we see more people awakin and saying this... maybe its time specially for cubase, pro tools, fl and logic to just hear more their customers and provide better tools😊
