I went through this in 2016. My right foot "went to sleep" and I could not get rid of the tingling. So after about 3 days I went to the doctor and they had me go to get a sonogram of my right leg. Sure enough, I had a femoral-popliteal aneurysm behind my right knee! They took the saphenous vein from my leg (made an 18-inch incision) and used it to perform a by-pass around the aneurysm. There is a good 2-minute video on this operation on RUclips. I can now walk and get around pretty good thanks to the good doctors who fixed me up! Life is good! I was told this is one of the most common ways people lose their leg. So, if you feel your feet going to sleep and staying that way, go and get help right away!!!!!

That all happened to me on a Sunday morning. I'm encouraged that you can get back to walking.
Did blood thinners present any problem?
