The gear reviews are great. As someone who is returning to mountain life I really appreciate them. I would like to see how you organize your gear room.
I’m watching your videos backwards so this is the first gear review I’ve seen. When the video started I thought you were in a gear shop, I had this whole back story going in my mind about how a gear shop let you film there because it was good publicity, etc. Then there was a shot over to the side and I realized you were filming in your home because, of course you are, but I don’t personally know anyone who has such an impressive array of gear so it did not immediately occur to me. I really laughed at myself when I realized. Great review, thanks.
Thanks Danny for the excellent review and channel, I really appreciate all the time you put into these. I bought the Raidlight Revolutiv (not the Responsiv as in this video) and was unfortunately very disappointed, although I think I was asking too much out of the bag. I put in 12lbs of gear for a fastpacking trip and it bounced like crazy. In addition, the fabric was very noisy - I sounded like MC Hammer swish swishing down the trail! Not sure if the Responsiv has different fabric from the Revolutiv. I ended up returning it and instead using a $37 REI Flash 22L daypack which I think the waist belt and sternum strap significantly helps with bounce, and did some DIY soft flask shoulder "holders". Running with the Flash 22L minimized bounce and no noise, up to 18lbs. That being said, I’m eventually hoping to get the Salomon Adv Skin 12L when I can convince my wife that my gear shed is not full enough. Thanks again from a happy mediocre subscriber!
since i am looking into packs right now i would love to see a video about all the different kinds of packs you use and what occasions you use them for and why. not only running bags. you guys have so much wisdom i need to learn from! :)
That lens tucked into the softflask compartement ( 2:49 ) is hardcore :) ...and on the next shot you're wearing the dynafit transalper hyprid polartec if I'm right? I love that jacket (and especially the colorway (y) )
Always love the videos. Honestly motivating. Gear question: I believe you carry one of your cameras on your shoulder strap of your bags. I am looking for one to fit a DSLR or a GoPro and was wondering if you had a suggestion. I am not looking to record while it is strapped, but looking for it to be secure while running. Thanks so much for any assistance. Always love the videos- please keep it up!!
I bought the fastpack and returned it after one use. It just didn’t carry well, I felt like I couldn’t get it to stop sagging down in the back, pulling the front shoulder straps up. I also used the raidlight on our houte route trip, and felt like it just carried better and accommodated a wider range of load sizes.
Perhaps as a promotion you could offer a subscriber one night alone in the gear room (alone, sorry no company) to select a piece of gear to take home. LOL.
Can we get a gear room tour !!! Looks awesome

Wow, it holds so much!

Good info! Would love to see a video on the smaller sized packs you use (if any) as well!
Great review!! Any plans to do one on the black diamond also?
Yay, new video!
I'm really digging your reviews! I am always curious what gear you all use. Also really appreciate the pros and cons!

I wonder if you could fast pack with this 24L. It'd be wicked to knock out the WRHR with these packs
What pack did you use on your wind Rivers four day fastpack?
I had a Radlight and I loved the pole position but could never get into the bag itself easily.
How is the bag performing after one year? Also, how does it perform when it is raining? Does rain seep through the main pocket?
I have a smaller sized Responsiv and love it. Unfortunately, I believe Raid Light pulled out of the US market.
Ok u convinced me to get the revolutiv rather...
I'm kind of wondering how the older Responsiv 25 compares? Could get it a lot cheaper and it doesn't have those annoying bungies
I'm looking at getting the responsiv/revolutiv or the ultimate direction fastpack 25.
Other than the weight why did you go with raidlight?
The fastpack doesn't have stretchy pockets

Not sure how I feel taking advice from a dude with an Apple watch, kidding. Thanks for the video
INstinct XX 20l won't bounce.
