Hey hun. Im a vivid specialist colourist and the best way to stop colours bleeding is wash in ice cold water with sulfate free shampoo. I do this with my clients and yellows never discolour. Your hair looks beautiful. Always loved you blue but this is my new favourite xx
I used hot water ,and sulfate free shampoo , and conditioner that's also color protectant that's what worked for me🤣😝 ,and before u hate me I tried cold water with sulfate shampoo , and conditioner ,and it didn't work it just bleed all over it was messy , and that was before I tried it with the hot water . I also still tried it with cold water for about 7 days ,and a couple more days at least to be sure if it didnt work with cold water, and it didnt work for me so yeah wish u the best of luck. Also towel drying helped it too but dont leave it on too long . And if it does bleed still no matter what u do then make yourself a bleaching detergent cleaning product to spray on the shower walls or flooring or carpet , and it let it set over night , and the dye stains will either completely disappear or it will be easier to clean the next day. Also if u do towel dry after your shower make sure u put your towel in washer straight away to insure u dont permanently stain your towel. For my purple dye I used pervanna . But now I'm going to be red ,and purple so hopefully that will make it easier too also I only wash my hair twice a week I didnt wash my hair for about 7 straight days and a couple without breaks in between not washing my hair. 🙃💜
Cure Marine Hot water will open up the cuticle (it’s like petting a fish backwards) so it would let the color move around, where cold water keeps the cuticle closed and smooth, locking the color in so it won’t bleed
I love it. I've been wanting to do something like this for a while, but been reluctant to get pink/red back in my hair after it took so long to strip it out and get a good blue on. But one day🤞
@@sophiehannah_ it really is. I asked at a salon how to go from blue to pink and she looked at my hair and said it will be almost impossible and I'd have to wait ages to get the blue to fade more and I dont have the patience for that so went home and put more blue on 🤣 I have since put an orange permanent box dye on half of my head so I'm half orange and half blue now as dont want to lose the blue completely yet lol
I'm Soo happy to have finally found a video where someone showed how the ye looked at the ends. I was really worried bout that. I think your hair turned out really beautiful. Thank you and God bless!
Rinsing with cold water can help that keep that color transfer from being so severe. I’ve had to rinse my head with really cold water in the past to minimize it. LOVE THE LOOK! Makes me want long hair again so I can try something like it!
You need to wrap the ends in saran wrap and rinse it out in Coldwater and then take the saran wrap off and rinse it again. That way you get rid of most of the reds so that they don’t bleed into the yellow.
If you want like to stop the top colour from getting to the bottom you can just apply all the darker colours like you would normally do then wash it out then finally add on the bottom colours or lighter colours so that maybe it'll not stain the yellow colour :) hope this tip works for you!!
I just switched my hair from blue to purple after having it for 4 months (my hair doesn't take blue well so it was a struggle to get right) but I'm *SO* happy I switched because purple looks better on me imo and I desperately needed a change. I'm also trying to transition from a cooler purple to a warmer one since warm tones suit me better. Your hair turned out really well and I love doing warmer colors.
Nice an helpful video! I too saw a pic online where the girls hair looked like a sunset. You mentioned the yellow at the bottom of your hair rinsing out with the higher colors an causing it to not be so yellow. Since your video, have you figured out a way to fix that? I'm about to attempt my hair an my hair is to my hips(all blonde), an I do want the ends to be yellowish. Any help would be great! And you look beautiful! Id recommend a bit darker on the root area. Thx!!
I'm going to be dying my hair next week and you gave me the boost of confidence I need to just do it!! Even though it intimidates me. Lol. And you did such an amazing job. You look spectacular! 😘😘
I dye my hair quite often and with multiple colours. I have found that if you leave the dye to dry completely and rinse under cold/very lukewarm water that the colours do not run or bleed into each other. just a handy tip. also if you have a green or blue tinge to your hair it will make the yellow more of a green tinge and not a vibrant yellow and blue and yellow make green and when you add yellow over the top of green it give the green you already have an extra boost.
Sami Rose oh interesting! So you just leave the dye on for hours? Do you find the colour lasts longer if you leave the dye on for more than 30-45 minutes?
@@sophiehannah_ leaving the dye in for a over an hour won't make much difference tbh, Especially if you are mixing it with conditioner. The colour can only penetrate the hair so much. If you want it to pop more or last longer you will need to do it without it. But the time won't make much difference.
ive been dying my hair for about 2 years now and I have no patience with ombrés. I also dont have the skill. I need tips and watching ur vids taught me how to dye my hair. never even looked at the instructions.
Looks looks really great, but I know it was not exactly what you envisioned. From my experience, you actually don't need to do so many separate colors. You can do 2 or 3 and really rub/comb the colors together to create the in-between colors. Alternately, do 2 colors, and then get a 3rd bowl and mix the two together to make that in-between color and apply the to the mid of the shaft. I've even done it where you do each section in one go - top color, mid color, bottom color, rub it at the meeting points, and then move on to the next section. Nice thing is, if all your colors blend nicely next to one another, you kind of can't go wrong and it will look beautiful, regardless! Also, lesser known brand but Wella Paints Purple Orchid is an amazing neon purple.
How do you wash the colour out without having the darker colours in the root toning over the rest of the hair? I used purple rain on my roots and after washing it, it toned my entire hair purple. Would love a video on explaining the ombre and blending techniques
You are my hair goals 😍 the hair in my profile pic was actually inspired by your hair in one of your videos 😂 and I JUST got my hair back to an ashy blonde 2 days ago thinking I'll lay off the colorful dyes for a while and then I see THIS and I just don't think I can help myself! This is SO freaking beautiful on you and I'm having major hair envy! 😍😍
Love itttt! If you wanna try this color again I'd reccomend mixing purple rain by arctic fox with the violet dream, I've found that violet dream is not nearly as pigmented. But purple rain is SO pigmented so you wouldn't need much but it may add that punch of purple that would stand out nicely against the pink 😍
I'm about to do similar to my short hair this weekend and I'm nervous about the back! I've been growing out a stacked asymmetrical bob this year so the front left section of my hair is super long but the rest is 5" long 😅 the idea of blending forward is kinda giving me anxiety
how fast the orange colour washed out? I have blonde hair and I want to dye my hair with an orange toner and I'm curious If I will be able to back to blonde without bleaching my hair
@@dncq8170 I guess it dépend on the coloration's brand you choose, I have la riché direction and It's really cool it stays around 1 month for the orange if you don't dilute the product (light colors stay shorter time)
Looks gorg 😍. After dying your hair so many times, what products do you use to treat your hair? I've dyed my hair many times over the last 2 years, but sometimes my hair feels so dry x
It’s either bleach, developer, ammonia or peroxide stripping your hair damaging it. Or sulfates in your shampoo or conditioner. The colors she is using all look like deposit colors which don’t do damage, but many of us have to lighten before depositing color.
Anya Petkovska it’ll only get damaged if you bleach it a lot, Sophie only uses semi permanent which is only pigment and conditioner so it’s really good for your hair 😊
I hate trying to get blue dye out of my hair. That's what I'm trying to do now. And im definitely not going to bleach it cause I've probably snapped off at least 5 inches and I dont think id look good with really short hair

Sulphate makes the colour bleed
