THANKYOU FOR WATCHING
I started watching your videos a few months ago, i started a cscs course this week with a 4-week capentry boot camp after i finish that course . All because of you, i ended up applying for that course while i was watching your videos, and I've made a start. Thank you.
🥺 love comments like this I’m glad i have guided you too the best trade 😊💪
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME ❤❤❤
do you 4 weeks straight to complete mate, what do they teach you in the 4 week course , i work full time so was wondering do you need 4 weeks straight cheers
Carpentry is the best!
@ttdowgcarpentry2390 hope it makes those late nights editing a little bit more worth it
Love the videos mate, panelled my mates hall stairs and landing a few weeks back, stairs were a disaster, I essentially lost a full day on them until I figured everything out, I’m still new to all this myself but watching your videos helps give me confidence in myself so thanks for that!
Been watching your videos for a while now and it’s been a joy to watch, I’m amazed at how you have managed after having your tools stolen and have come through this. Love the work you have done on this renovation and whilst you have undercharged on some of the jobs… overall you have had a lot of work from this customer so I would be happy with the overall pricing. I am also self employed and do very similar jobs to what you post and it’s very interesting to see your pricing and makes me feel more confident with my own prices. Keep up the great work and keep posting the vids as I’m sure everyone who watches these gets a lot from them. Have also subscribed 👍
Good to see how you enjoy your work, love the video's.
About the charging, there is nothing wrong with getting paid a bit more for a stressful job with everything perfectly leveled.
Keep it up!
Top work mate 👍👍
I’ve been doing paneling on doors to make them look old for old flats and I find it easiest to measure it out like you have done but then cut all the parts and form them together with impact adhesive on the ground before nailing them. found it is a bit faster than one length at a time and easier nailed. Means you can cut all parts for the wall at the same time and saves trips to the saw 😊
Nice house. Good job
Very tidy little job, especially the staircase. 👌🏻
What an amazing transformation 👍👍
Great video, soooo inspiring ❤
Fellow Brummie myself, love your vids bro keep it up
Great video from a fellow joiner you certainly undercharged but we always learn and you know for the next time. The client deciding to paint the oak staircase black is criminal 😂
Awesome job mate !
Stunning house
another great video mate
Great vid mate!
Would have been nice to see how to work out the degrees for stair panelling etc.
Love your work and love your uploads.
I've done it a few times, and the stairs is the hardest most frustrating part of the job. Tried using mathematics, inside angles etc. nightmare, ended up doing it by eye once . Ridiculous.
I've since bought a nice little gadget that transfers the angles to the mitre saw. Much easier.
Yup that's cheep....... you could charge double where I live in perthshire. Excellent video lad love your honest approach 👍🏴
Love your videos, great job and keep up the great work.
I remember a while back you asked if anyone had any ideas how to improve your videos? Well, just a suggestion, at the end when you summarise,
don't look at yourself on the device you are recording on (your phone?) but instead look into the device's lens, It makes it far more engaging for your audience
when you look directly at them instead of to one side. All the top RUclipsrs use this little trick - try it next time and you'll see what I mean.
Hope you understand.
Love the song tracks nice video
Thankyouu
Love the content bro keep it up
Thankyouu I appreciate the comment and glad you enjoy the content

What size Brad nails did you use and did you nail into plasterboard or solid wall
Your well under charged them mate, I get that around Brum it’s a bit less of a day rate than some areas but for that job they got an absolute bargain at £1200, imo opinion you’re worth more than that but I’m sure it’s a regular client and he’ll give you more work!
So are the panels painted with emulsion?
Pls can you do a video on the drop ceiling
Another great video did u pay the other chippy out the 1200 ?
Yeah
We've all under priced jobs and overpriced jobs swings and round abouts just don't do it all the time haha its all a learning curve
Defo under charged, 2 men 4 days £2400 minimum
Lol 200quid a day tops 100 quid for apprentice. 300quid a day
@@jkutv yeah mate don’t know why everyone assumes chippys should be getting paid £200 a day max, we all have buisness expenses, and we are companies at the end of the day and we need to make a profit, the £200 should be the take home pre tax, the rest for the business
@@Lyonscarpentry I think because most tradesmen don't declare half their earnings bud 😉. I'm sure you do though.
@@jkutv don’t know what your on about mate🤪
Done panelling in my hallway the squares were easy but going down the stairs was awful !
Going down the stairs was the most awkward bit took me a day to complete
Nice job, well under priced for two trades men and your apprentice, but you live and learn. we done.
What gauge nails did you use?
How many lengths of moulding did you use?
I hope you got it at a decent trade price because if you buy right it is around £2.50 a length, not £7.00 or more like the DIY stores charge.
I’m in the middle of quite a complicated panel job with machined frames and raised panels.
Where do you buy your panelling strips?
Nice job although it looks odd not continuing the panelling round on to the small returns/walls. Maybe that was the customers decision. I do think £1200 is a tad cheap personally.
A great looking job allround; panelling certainly under-priced for the time it took- it's a lot of work. We've all done that, you'll know for next time.
Looks good, but how long until they get sick of the look in each room 🤔
Yes, very much a personal taste thing. The next owner might want to get rid of it, then have to re-plaster every wall after ripping the adhesive off.
I am a finish carpenter however; I do not know everything even at my age I learn everyday!
On paneling one has to figure for accumulative error which is figured into your math ? If you use like a construction pro math program it automatically adjusts for it?
Example if your panel is figured off a space L x W = ? ; if your panels figure 24.2 in each space it’s actually 24.22222/? Then rounded to the nearest number. That is accumulating error !
You hv to be aware of that & I am betting you are?
That's a lovely house but man its stark and has no character to it at all mad to me but everyone has different tastes
Should have charged 3500
No glue or adhesive on the back? Pins & paint ain’t enough😂
Back of the panels ? We glued the backs on all
It’s a fiddly and time consuming job. Looks good though.
Charged way too less..
Very cheap my man, let me know when you are free to come do my house! 😜
Let him do your house and give him a bonus 😁 💰🤑
Way too cheap!!!!
I was thinking, 4000
No, it’s a simple design, just like sticking a few light picture frames on the wall.
Great work.any chance I can hire Tyrell for the day.ive a driveway needs de-weeding 😂😂😂
😂😂£70 and you have a deal
@@ttdowgcarpentry2390 bargain 😂😂😂
