Thanks a lot, i purchased one and just as you the only and first thing ill do is deassembly it and put a piece of tape in that buzzer to make it less anoying
press the output button for more than 5 seconds, that is the system settings menu, you can turn off the buzzer, option 4, search for pdf for more options
@@szabolcs.j Thank you, but for me it was only way too loud, a little accustic feedback as it is now with the blob hot glue on the buzzer is just fine.
The beeps are good to alert you if you accidentally bump the knob and change to values however if you push the knob in and hold it until you hear beep the beeping will go away
man i burst it, i was testing a module i needed 24 v for the supplie and 5 volts for the on/off pin i tested first if usb and normal output shared the negative and they did, so i plug it all put 24v to the module and then touched with the usb 5v + the enable pin the module did nothing and the Power suppli died now i press the on button and it chirps the fuse is alright the screen does not turns on i dont know what happened OCP was on, does the control board has any protection? or it is unrepaiablei opened it and all looks good and there was no magic smoke either.
Yes, it seems it has a secret menu with various settings from which you might be able to disable the annoying beep, but there is no official info. You might be able to find some info about the settings from the other wanptek models.
Buenos días, donde podría conseguir el manual porque por desgracia lo he perdido y lo necesitaría porque se lo voy a regalar a una persona que está iniciándose Gracias de antemano
You should check the manual, mine doesn't have an option to turn it down, although I have found some info regarding WPS3010H model, "you need to press output button for 5 seconds to put the power supply into 'system settings' mode, then press the voltage knob multiple times until you get to program 4 (buzzer mute), and then change the value from 1 to 0 by rotating the voltage knob." I will later test this also on my model and see if it will work or not.
@@TechTronic9000 Thanks for the video. I've just bought one (the 30V/5A version) and it looks ideal for my needs. The beeper is far too loud so I followed the procedure above to mute the sound. This procedure does work, but the PSU defaults back to 'beepy' mode when next switched on. If you want the mute setting to 'stick', after changing the buzzer mute setting from 1 to 0, press the voltage knob three more times to quit out of the menu. Then all should be well. Does anyone know what the OTHER menu settings alter? Thanks again.
@@wrongsideof40 I have TPS3010 model.. to turn off beep sound when changing V/A I have to press the rotation knob for 5s.. but it still beeps when turning ON/OFF the device.. I am not able to go to the settings menu by long press OUT button..

Has anyone found the buzzer? At first glance after opening, it's invisible... I saw in a video that it could be deactivated in the options accessible by pressing OUT for 5 seconds, but it doesn't work on mine (purchased 09/2024)
The power supply comes in several variants so you can check them out here

To disable the beep when you change values, press and hold the adjustment knob until you hear a single beep.

The damned buzzer! I need to do that also 😂
Yess "only" 18 screws and 3pcs 7mm nuts to loose and then put a blob hot glue on this buzzer helps. Just a tape wont be enough ; )

30v 10A is a sweet spot!
They now have several options, some are getting 60 and 120V now. I'm eyeing one of them as it will be useful for my ebike projects.
Great video! I’m waiting for mine to arrive 👍
Have fun!

Yes, that is a good use for it. A better option is to cover the speaker with tape so it's not so powerful.
how much did u get it
great review
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it.

What is the purpose of the menu that appears when you hold down the out button?
There is nothing in the user manual about it...

Is it possible to disable the annoying beep on every twist of the dial ?
Yes it can

If this is the 300W model as it says in the title of the video and it's set to 30V, it should output 10A, not 5A.
"Watts" up with that?
You can see in the video that the label shows the model TPS305 (which is the 30V 5A model). They also make a TPS3010 which is 30V and 10A so 300W
@@MartinVisser And yet, both the box in the video and the title of the video indicate 10a and 300w. Either way, they need to get it right.

All you have to do is push that knob and hold it for like 3 to 5 seconds it'll beep one time and then it's gone
