Disney After Dark Pin Event Preview With EXCLUSIVE Trading Board In Disney Springs!

- Today Disney hosted a mini pin trading event at their pin store to get everyone ready for the upcoming pin trading event, Disney After Dark, because tickets were going on sale shortly after. At this event, they had a pin board filled with pins similar to what you can expect to find on the trading boards at Disney's official trading event! We were able to trade for rare pins including limited edition and artist proof pins! We even got to see ALL the pins that are being released at the After Dark event! Lots to look forward to!!

Oh congratulations on getting a ticket. I tried to get one but they sold out before I got a chance. This would have been my first pin event ever. I bought my airline ticket and booked rooms at Destino towers. I never thought I wouldn’t get a ticket. I’m on the waitlist though. Keeping my fingers crossed. 🤞
Hopefully a spot opens up! Disney really needs to open up ticket sales a lot earlier so out of town people can plan accordingly we’ve heard a lot of people in the same position 😢

Congrats on the VIP package! We didn't get VIP this year, but did thankfully get the regular tier, and we look forward to seeing you there. With VIP last year, we did more board trades in the first hour than we did the rest of the day (I'd actually prefer going back to the tab system to keep things fair and ensure that participants can get at least 8 - two pin board trades. This didn't happen for a lot of non-VIP participants last year given the lines were averaging about an hour long). We're hoping to get selected in the RSP for the Brunch before Friday registration so we can at least get in a half hour earlier on Saturday. For registration, I'm not very excited with the registration windows that they implemented this year. The earliest we could get registration was 4:30. Beyond board trades, I live for completing the mystery box sets during the registration trading at the event. By the time we pick up our merch, a lot of the trading will already be done. Hopefully we can trade for what we are missing while in line on Saturday or we might have to hit one of the post pin events on Sunday this year (we're usually pretty tired after two full days and have skipped the after-event).
We are so excited to have gotten the opportunity for VIP this year! Yes the tab system was actually better since the lines are so long when everyone can go to the board unlimited times, last year we got the same amount of trades in as when there was tabs since we had to wait in line so long each time 😂

So glad you two got in! I got 6050 🙁 I feel that Disney is going to have to expand this event to accommodate everybody who wants to go. They could have a 3 day event and maybe have it twice a year. Clearly a lot of people want to go. But any way, this looks so exciting, can’t wait for your videos.
There’s certainly a lot of demand for it! Hopefully they take note and can do more events like it or figure out a bigger venue to accommodate more people who want to go!

How long are these previews happening, is this just a one day thing every time an event happens? I’ll be visiting Disney springs some time soon.
The little preview event was only a one day thing, it only happens once per year usually on registration day of the big pin event
However they still will have the small preview case of the pins inside of the Disney springs pin store that you can checkout up until the event happens
Are these preview events typically on the day tickets release?
The first one we went to was last year and it was on ticket release day as well! So it does seem so! We found out about it because Disney springs posted on instagram the day prior

This was my first year, trying to attend the event and I only had one device ready for the tickets and unfortunately I got in the high 3000s so I was unable to get a ticket… There next year I will be more prepared and have more devices at the ready lol
Yes definitely have family members log in to try for tickets so you have an extra shot! If Nick didn’t get a good number we wouldn’t have been able to attend, from what we have heard you needed a number under 1600 to get tickets before they sold out
