- Dr. Brian Boxer Wachler restored the vision of athlete Steven Holcomb, who had been declared blind due to an eye disease know as Keratoconus. Steven was able to immediately return to bobsledding and won the World Championship in 2009. Brian has restored the lives of thousands of people with his procedures.
Brian S. Boxer Wachler, M.D., is founding director of Boxer Wachler Vision Institute in Beverly Hills, CA. Previously, he was director of the UCLA Laser Refractive Center and Assistant Professor in the UCLA Department of Ophthalmology at the Jules Stein Eye Institute. At the age of 32, he became one of the youngest directors of any medical division in UCLA’s history. Dr. Boxer Wachler has served on several non-profit boards. He has an international reputation as an authority on Intacs for Keratoconus, Holcomb C3-R for Keratoconus, CK for Keratoconus, LASIK, implantable lenses, and other advanced surgical techniques.
