Thank you for these interesting questions. 1) it is up to you, you can have the price in the middle or anywhere within the gird. It will only work when the price is within the gird. Otherwise, the grid will wait with open orders. 2) short grid capture the volatility. this is something normal short could not. for example, if the coin price go from 100 to 50 straight away, normal short is a good way to earn. but if the coin price goes volatile (i.e. go up and down from $100 - the usual case), then having short gird will most likely earn more over time without having to look at the cart all day. short answer: short gird save time and effort 3) grid history should show each grid PNL, the normal trade history should show the daily grid transactions. if you integrate normal trade history over a time period, it would be the total PNL from grid history. short answer: grid history shows the performance of the grid, normal trade history shows day to day PNL resulting from grids & your normal trades.
