APT as a level has been a mess for years now and I think the only way it can end is the way Polterghast is taking it. good luck to him!
I think the 2.1 version with the doom remix had massive potential. Could've even became the best level of all time. Trick's inactivity, the... Horrible version that it became that fnm showcased, and it being nerfed to Tartarus diff at the end is what killed the level.

AP Team kicked him because they wanted a top 1 with their name on it, and Trick felt that APT was insufferable to play and didn't want that on the community. If people stopped using them, most top levels nowadays would literally be impossible. Lastly, talking about "newgens magically becoming pros" is just dumb. Yes, Popoff and Zoink are extremely new to the game and have become absolute legends. But that doesn't disqualify all the older players who are still extremely good at the game, like Tech, npesta, Riot, Michigun /\/\/\, and Nexus. Yes, this situation is terrible, but Trick is not to blame for that. And if you think he is, get your head out of the clouds, dude.
I feel like this whole beef could’ve been avoided if ZImnyte was able to easily let go the dream of this being the big and bad “final 2.1 top 1,” because it ‘assuming’ that that is the main issue here. Honestly, I think the biggest issue with APT is that it took like 7 years. How are you gonna take a level with existing deco and remake it over the course of like 7 years, and then expect a good outcome? The amount of redecorations that have been done to this level really show this issue as well. When a level takes this long to make, especially a remake, the level quickly gets outdated. Of course, levels also become much harder over time, so to keep the top 1 status, you'll inevitably have to force its difficulty. I like APT, but the long progress creates a lot of problems.
Ima be honest I don't like Apocalyptic Trilogy whatsoever. I think it's just bad execution on a bad idea. Smth like this would've worked in 2015-2016, but 9 years later this is just atrocious.
I sadly agree, I would've loved to see all 3 levels sprinkled in every part of the level, not huge long sections which make it seem like it is buffed Bb, Cc and Aftermath put together in order. I think the deco is a bit too inconsistent for me, I love levels like Grief or Amethyst which have consistently deco.

Although the redeco was needed (my part was shit lol) I feel like if a level waits past 2-3 years it becomes wayyyy outdated and needs revamped. this level just got revamped a lot and went through many massive data losses, bugs, lost levels, crashes, updates breaking shit, etc etc. I feel like this is a lose - lose for not only APT but also Trick :/ Best of luck to the verifier and hope the level doesn't end up in the dumps:(

To be honest APT Team killed APT, they chose a verifier who’s gonna nerf this long anticipated passion project (which they literally named themselves after) to the ground, I think I would have been fine with top 10-1 but a much lower difficulty (around Tartarus) makes this level feel much less epic and special in my opinion

im gonna be honest, so many people saw this coming. no one asked for ANY of these levels to be buffed to a 2024 top1 for this exact reason. they are old levels, didnt exactly age well, and are structured the way old levels used to be structured (thrown together in very little time without any thought) I hate to say it but cataclysm, bloodbath, and aftermath arent fun levels to begin with by todays standards, no one wanted to play all of them in a row when they came out (yes there are aftercatabath victors but no one enjoys the level) and no one wants to play them buffed either. why cant we just let levels die and come up with new ideas? maybe something original for once? same thing with sonic wave, who asked for 6 remakes? not a single soul

În my opinion, the choice that apteam made about having the apt click pattern/layout or movement layout or however you call it be very faithful to the original levels is what mightve snowballed into this. Go look at silent cataclysm and look at how they changed the layout of the level, that level probably is a lot more fun or at least less frustrating to play if it were just a superbuffed faithful version of cataclysm, becuase with the tweaks that they made to the layout they gave themsleves some leeway to create gameplay that would fit more recent difficulty standards (i think so anyway)
Nerfing extremes is underrated, especially in the hands of a good playtester/verifier the level becomes so much better to play. Take yatagarasu for example, it's genuinely a pretty fun extreme demon which it definitely wasn't in its unnerfed state

But if so, then it’s literally just gonna be the same concept about Tartarus, The golden and Acheron, and Avernus. In my opinion apt should either be top 1 or aftercatabath difficulty since basically it wouldn't make sence if it is Tartarus difficulty since the name is idk The Apocalyptic Trilogy. Avernus had no reason to be top 1 but APT is legendary trilogy marathon which i think should have that "Grand Finale" vibe and seing it falling out of top 50 maybe same year and seing it verified will be sad
apocalyptic trilogy wasn't that fun due to the buffs required to have the level at top 1, trick got fed up with apteam's apparent lack of leadership & leaked the level to fnm04, and subsequently got kicked from the verification for this. polterghast is verifying a tartarus-difficulty version of the level. saved you 8 minutes note: the relevant content to the title ends at around 4:00. i cannot stress this enough, the entire rest of the video is pure unnecessary yap and not worth your time
Well at least now Orochi won’t have a competition for most worthy of top 1 position lmao. That and APT were the only levels I considered to be best fitting final top 1s for the game
Ascension to Heaven, Orochi or Aeternus should be the ones for being contenders of GD´s "final boss" of the online made levels. And no, Misanthrope lost the chance by making them two levels instead of one (which by itself it is too much torture for anyone and not rate worthy).

OPINIONS BELOW: (this isn't twitter I should be fine) nobody's talking about how trick is now verifying the 3rd best top 1 imo (behind vehemence and silent acropolis) I'd much rather watch someone play a well thought out level with great designs than a remake of 3 1.9 levels stitched together with nothing burger deco. While firework and AOD are top 1's to be top 1's with nothing burger deco, unlike ATP that's all they needed to be. Those were top 1's that had clean yet uninteresting designs, while ATP was actively trying to be THE hell level while lacking everything to be THE hell level. It's my least favorite type of level, where the team isn't motivated by the original levels or making good deco, those are a byproduct for attention and money and praise. Glad fnm04 RIPPED this level because otherwise I feel most people in the community would just call it a good top 1 because nobody else was saying it was bad.
This is really sad and disappointing. APT imo looks great and was hyped up as a top 1 for 7 years just for it to be Zynvire's Silent Circles. APT has atmosphere that only truly fits being top 1. APTeam not playtesting it and Trick buffing the level then complaining about the difficulty makes me not feel sympathetic for either of them. Also Zimnyte said Trick leaked APT onto the servers a few months ago.

One, it generates way more views and polularity for a top 1 than a random extreme. There are nearly 1000 extremes but over 700 of them are just forgettable and really not popular at all, just sitting on the AREDL. There also exists a group of people who yearn for difficulty, so it will not happen

I’m genuinely happy that we finally got a verifier for amethyst, I ain’t gonna lie but from my perspective in decoration and what I like, I feel like amethyst has a little better decoration than most parts in Ascension to Heaven. Although it might not get mythic because its gameplay is literally the same as The Golden and Avernus. I just hope Trick doesn’t buff the shit out of it to the point where it’s harder than Aeturnus (I doubt it). But if so, then it’s literally just gonna be the same concept about Tartarus, The golden and Acheron, and Avernus. Honestly though, now that Trick will be the new verifier of Amethyst, I feel like it might be the first top 1 after Tidal Wave. Good luck to Polterghast and Trick, can’t wait to see progress on Amethyst!

In my opinion apt should either be top 1 or aftercatabath difficulty since basically it wouldn't make sence if it is Tartarus difficulty since the name is idk The Apocalyptic Trilogy.
Trick even said to nerf it to make it more enjoyable and the original aftercatabath is perfect to stay true to the original 3 levels

Avernus had no reason to be top 1 but APT is legendary trilogy marathon which i think should have that "Grand Finale" vibe and seing it falling out of top 50 maybe same year and seing it verified will be sad

apocalyptic trilogy wasn't that fun due to the buffs required to have the level at top 1, trick got fed up with apteam's apparent lack of leadership & leaked the level to fnm04, and subsequently got kicked from the verification for this. polterghast is verifying a tartarus-difficulty version of the level.

Well at least now Orochi won’t have a competition for most worthy of top 1 position lmao. That and APT were the only levels I considered to be best fitting final top 1s for the game
Ascension to Heaven, Orochi or Aeternus should be the ones for being contenders of GD´s "final boss" of the online made levels.
And no, Misanthrope lost the chance by making them two levels instead of one (which by itself it is too much torture for anyone and not rate worthy).

WARNING! OPINIONS BELOW: (this isn't twitter I should be fine)
nobody's talking about how trick is now verifying the 3rd best top 1 imo (behind vehemence and silent acropolis) I'd much rather watch someone play a well thought out level with great designs than a remake of 3 1.9 levels stitched together with nothing burger deco. While firework and AOD are top 1's to be top 1's with nothing burger deco, unlike ATP that's all they needed to be. Those were top 1's that had clean yet uninteresting designs, while ATP was actively trying to be THE hell level while lacking everything to be THE hell level. It's my least favorite type of level, where the team isn't motivated by the original levels or making good deco, those are a byproduct for attention and money and praise. Glad fnm04 RIPPED this level because otherwise I feel most people in the community would just call it a good top 1 because nobody else was saying it was bad.

This is really sad and disappointing. APT imo looks great and was hyped up as a top 1 for 7 years just for it to be Zynvire's Silent Circles. APT has atmosphere that only truly fits being top 1. APTeam not playtesting it and Trick buffing the level then complaining about the difficulty makes me not feel sympathetic for either of them. Also Zimnyte said Trick leaked APT onto the servers a few months ago.

One, it generates way more views and polularity for a top 1 than a random extreme. There are nearly 1000 extremes but over 700 of them are just forgettable and really not popular at all, just sitting on the AREDL. There also exists a group of people who yearn for difficulty, so it will not happen
