Orvar is simply amazing on this version of Crawl. Add Barney on Suffer, Tardy on Chopped, Kam on Dawn of Eternity & Willetts on Cenotaph = my fav death metal tracks for the last 20+ years
Orvar's voice sucks imho, so that's why he was kicked out. His vocals were well for Nirvana 2002, but Entombed was a TOP of SWDM and deserved more brutal voice. Orvar's voice is just like Robert Andersson's on Clandestine concert 2016 - weak for this music. Both were good in their tryings but not excellent. IMHO.
It was the vocals for me. Like they were how people who were making fun of death metal vocals sounded when trying to do death metal vocals to make fun of death metal.....yeah......
@@ericwilliams538 The album would not work with lower register death metal vocals due to the guitar tone and approach to the composition. Hold an open mind. Nicke's vocals were executed amazingly. It's more of a mad-man "sadistic" approach vs L.G Petrov's animalistic growls.
Clandestine was the best followup to Left Hand Path that could've ever been created. Not many death metal albums surpass Left Hand Path is quality and song-writing so Entombed had a monumental task to accomplish and quite frankly, they exceeded the expectations put upon them.

I remember buying this ep and really liking crawl. I hated Clandestine and was really disappointed with it.
Its only the vocals and the a bit the production... The album is a master class in death metal composition.
