$1,299 (US Dollars) for a vacuum robot, that doesn’t fit under most furnitures and doesn’t even has a mopping feature is quite overpriced in comparison with Roborock or Ecovacs Deebot.
Exactly my thoughts. With its 3.9'' it's too tall of a robot and will obviously not fit under most furnitures. I don't see the point in spending over 1K on something that can't clean under my bed or couch tbh. Mine fits under pretty much everything, it auto-empties itself too and it takes me only 3 minutes to pick up things from the floor before vacuuming. Worst case scenario if I'm not home I just build some no-go zones where I know things might be laying around and all good.
I'm sure they are more efficient and much better overall than this one.
@@Mc-Taboo That's a really stupid assumption. The Samsung has stronger suction and better object detection than basically every single other robot vacuum on the market right now.

I think the weakest spot of this is how tall it is. It cant go under a sofa or other spaces that has a small gap to go under it

@@onesteeltank Battery life is apparently 90 minutes at most. Other companies are offering up to 180 minutes with robots that are half the price.
Not to mention that Samsung's brush design makes deep carpet cleaning practically pointless. Fair enough if it was for just hard floors, but you would expect a mopping system if that were the case. On top of that, it manages to be about 30% bigger than the Neato D8 but has almost half the dustbin capacity.
Other companies have been offering AI obstacle avoidance models with mopping systems for about a year now, while being half the price of the Jet Bot AI+.
In short: unless you're completely sealed off from every robot vacuum manufacturer apart from Samsung, I have a hard time seeing how this bot would be worth the money for anyone

@@AhmedKathiri iRobot s9+ is more expensive where I live and doesn't have many features that this one has, it's driving over socks and small things, getting stuck and stopping all over the place. My parents has one so I have real life use case. This one recognize things and avoids it. If the size is an issue you chose something else, for many the ability to connect it to smart things and to use it for surveillance at home is a useful thing. You buy things that fit your needs and nothing fits everyone, if something doesn't fit you it doesn't mean it's not useful for someone else.
@@AhmedKathiri Actually, the one you pointed out is not comparable, yes it has lidar, that's it. definitely not a bad product but nothing like the 90AI+, smaller brush, the wheels are outside the brush area and therefore collect more dirt on them, they actually left streaks in the revue video I saw, and it does not avoid obstacles or recognizes them if its ok to bump into them or not. Good product for the prize but not comparable.
That's why I love samsung.

Hello Samsung, does the AI+ recognize liquids, for example if the cat decides to empty her stomach onto the floor or carpet... 😀 or will this end in a horrible mess and damage the unit, as it progresses vacuuming and sucking in the spilled out stuff from the cat or liquids in general? Im asking because the model is marketed as "pet friendly / for pets". Puking cats are quite regular...Thanks

You would think for the price it would but it doesn't look like it. It doesn't say anything about mopping at all in the product listing on Samsung website. So I assume no mop.

I wonder from a reverse engineer standpoint if it's using in-house lidar systems, id assume it's running in-house processing rather then Shenzen/Ecovacs/Roborock/smartlife.

Wow, that is legit awesome especially that dustbin idea is pure genius. To me, removing the dust from the vacuum bag is simply the worst part of using any vacuum, be it regular stick or the robotic one, so dirty and messy process. Nice job Samsung 👌🏼
Btw Samsung already made a "vacuum" which removes the dust from the vacuum when you place it in its recharging station, this is a similar design but instead of you putting it, it goes automatically in the station

The Powerbot 9350 turbo seemed great on every advertisement as well, but it turned out to be more annoying than helpful. That wasn’t my first bad experience with Samsung’s products so there is a pattern. I’m not sure if I’ll give them any chance again

Seems cool just don't like its colors looks like something from star wars, would be cooler in black and I would like to see its brush roll to see if any anti hair wrap is on it, because sure it's cool with its auto empty making it fully automatic but might still need to maintain its brush roll which takes away its automatic care along to see if the motors are brushless

Roborock S7 does all that (except the AI cam in front) plus mopping. The older model already had the AI cam. Samsung is playing catch-up

My dream is to have all Samsung tech. Samsung fridge, samsung air purifier, samsung washing machine, Samsung Frame TV. And this Samsung vacuum cleaner. I see so many Korean vlogs of couples using all these samsung gear and they really perform with high class tech. Its worth their price point.

@@MuhammadAlmasriyeah, I noticed after I'd commented on here, and did more research into it, that it wouldn't fit under a lot of my furniture. I saw a lot of other ones for way less with good reviews that will fit under it all. So this definitely seems like a waste of money! :)

A Roborock is better than a Roomba for half the price, and this Samsung Robot will be even more expensive than a Roomba and taller (which means it will not fit under most furniture, as a lot users are saying).

The engineers and design team are not talking to enough consumers, the height of this thing will definitely be an issue with getting under things. Slim profiles are much better.
