Putong Kamoteng Kahoy / No Steamer Needed / Ang Mabinta at Kumikitang Pangkabuhayan Namin Noon!

- Shalom everyone good day, today I just wanted to share this Bisayan Recipe of Kamoteng Kahoy, this become my Parents and Grandparents as a living business which until now my Lola still making, so let me show you
Bukayo ingredients
Coconut meat( could be better if the tender one or ungol)
Kinugay or Kamay
Brown Sugar
(please adjust according to your Taste ( bukayo is a sweetened coconut flesh)
And for the Puto mixture ingredients
5 kilogram of Kamoteng Kahoy (Cassava grated and squeeze)
Brown sugar ( but not the dark color, just the light one)
Coconut flesh(optional) you can put little only
Plain Puto is made of Grated Cassava only( can be eaten with Bulad or Bagoong
In a boiling improvise oven, put some grated Cassava mixture and bukayo for filling and another grated Cassava to cover the filling, cover with Banana leaf so it can be cook fast to be cooked right
Important tips: Make sure that the improvise oven always boiling or always have water to cook the Puto, check if there is still water boiling in it, because if it become dry the puto can be poisonous

I was born and raised in the Philippines until I was 21 and now I’m in my 60th and love to go back and visit.I grew up in the vilages where all fruits are organic and homemade food.

This food reminds me of my childhood memories in Cebu, most of my elder relatives used to cook this for our snack every meryenda, this is my favorite food.

That's how it's always done in the province back in my time (doesn't seem so these days). Almost everything is done communal. Everybody just lends a hand while we chat and laugh together. Yeah even as we quarrel with words that we laugh away.

My all time favorite meryenda 😊❤ here in bacolod we call it "puto lanson" and to my province in mindanao we called it "aripahol" . I miss to eat that.

People.living in province they will never be lonely. Because were surrounded with good people. I love seeing ur place around it seems it reminds me of my family and relatives during occasion. Then we didn't notice the time bec.were chatting alot during preparation of each food that we will cook. Happy moments of my life.
