Its probabaly not even him speaking, but the mindflayer using him as a mouthpiece. My theory is that just like the Mindflayer influenced vecna from a young age to give him powers, it recognized more potential in Will and is going to discard Vecna for Will to take his place as the Mindflayer's ultimate human avatar.

but it still makes no sense... in S4 Henry falls into a coma after killing his mom & sister... his family moves to Hawkins and within a month, he's already tormenting them... how does he get to high school and meet Bob, Joyce & Hop and Bob's sister?

I think Mike is gonna comfort Eleven after something happens in the last episode. Will sees this and decides he has to be the one to sacrifice himself since the one he loves is inlove with someone else. The final moments of that episode would have a dramatic final battle where Vecna and Will take each other out. And then everyone would hug each other, mourning the loss of the beloved Will Byers

"Episode 1: The crawl" can be related to the anecdote of Steve of having crawling backwards as a baby, making a metaphor between that and how he has taken steps backwards regarding his relationship with Nancy, and that's because he has been an idiot (his words). So maybe, in the very first episode Steve dies I'm afraid

The Eddie Munson theory on how Vecna could manipulate him and bring him back somehow is so real and it’s not crazy. I mean max was completely dead for a whole minute and El brought her back to life. Vecna and El have similarities as said before so I don’t entirely disagree about the Eddie theory. After all El is a project of PaPa’s, and his whole point of these projects was to clone Vecna’s abilities in one another.
The crawl = I think it refers to the “opening crawl” that we see in the Star Wars movie that goes over details of the previous movie and shares the setting for the current movie.
that last scene they were going over and thinking it was an epilogue, I believe that the other part of it that was a little eerie is that Dustin was the only dirty one, like what if he is the observer of the "Now memory" which would be the "real" now and not his now, but his current future, one without him possibly?
I have this wild feeling that Eddie was always the vampire. Think about it: he was introduced just in time to bond with the crew, win everyone’s hearts, and then his “death” crushed the group’s morale. But what if that was the point? I’m convinced we haven’t seen the last of Eddie Munson I’m calling it now: he’s coming back in Season 5.
And while we’re on bold theories, let’s talk Steve Harrington. At this point, I’m pretty sure Steve is basically immortal. He’s survived bats, monsters, explosions, near-death experiences, you name it, and he still looks like he stepped out of a shampoo commercial. Plus, we’ve never met his parents, which only adds to the mystery. Something about Steve just doesn’t add up… and I mean that in the best possible way.
There’s a really good one out there about Vecna’s eye missing on the recent poster. Another channel mentioned the eye of Vecna being forced into Will. The more he uses the power, the more Vecna is able to control him.
My theory, Vecna got that brown suit from his dad closet in the upside down

Obviously Dustin takes up the HC DM role, Lucas is carrying a boombox which might make him like a Bard/Fighter? Jane/El is wearing more athletic wear seemingly more independent, Hopper is in his tactical outfit, Nancy is wearing a more modest dress hinting shes still with Jonathan, Steve has candy, specifically chocolate, which might be the last of his provisions if he went into Dimension X, and then poor Holly is missing a shoe. Just some things to look into. Oh and Kali will definitely cone back fulfilling the illusionist wizard role, maybe Eddie comes back as an undead general.

Regarding for what you said about bringing Billy back for "flashbacks" it could be deeper beacause when billy got his car accident, he met a clone of himself in the upside down... so, what if the og billy was kidnapped and kept in the upside down for years? And they brought him back to reveal what happened to him after the car accident?
I hope we find out why Vecna chose Will out of all of them. I feel like Will and Eleven are connected more than we think.
If that's the case then why will Holly be taken? Or... IF Derek Turnbow is to be taken, why him too?

For the poster, I don’t think it means they’re going back in time. I think it means they’re leaving Hawkins. In the first season’s poster, they were riding into Hawkins. In season two, they were already there because they weren’t riding. In season three, there wasn’t a bike poster. In season four, there also wasn’t one. And now, for season five, they’re riding out of Hawkins. That’s what I and a lot of other people think.

Okay, Jonathan or Steve is going to die. Both won't die I don't think. Steve has higher chance of dying, because trailers show him as 'less active' through how little was done for the character in the clips and character evolution. Many other hints... But Steve is likely gone by chapter 6. Will is probably going to get possessed on chapter 5 or 4.

My theory: There will be a moment when Steve chooses to climb the tower to fix something, and fixing that something will cause certain death. At the last moment, it will be revealed that Jonathan also climbed the tower at the same time (like in episode 1) and Jonathan will step in and sacrifice himself to save Steve. That way, the only two people who end up dying are Will and Jonathan, which would be heartbreaking for Joyce but they each die to save Eleven and Steve, the two fan favorite characters.
This would be awesome because Steve has put his life on the line so many times that someone owes him the same, and the least likely person would be Jonathan.
Hamilton's character is a two star General. That means she's been in for decades. She could be the military oversight for the Hawkins lab, maybe?

Maybe we get to see what actually happened to Vecna after he disappears when Nancy, Robin & Steve molotoved and shot gunned him... he wouldve had to get to safety to keep them from finishing him off... wherever he 'crawls' away to, to heal and rebuild may be why S5E1 is titled that way...
2:58 - Well it was shown by Vecna that Mike will die in S5 he showed Nancy a vision in S4 Where she said Holly,Mike and her Mom are on the death list.

There was a leaked image during the shooting of S5 where he was shown wearing a classic brown coat and a hat and during that scene he was having a convo with Holy Wheeler(Mike's Sister). This reminds me of a Flashback when Nancy and Vecna met each other in S4 where he was showing her the vision of Mike's possible death. This is all being done to weaken Eleven from awakening her powers.
I also wanna mention that the lack of MindFlayer shot says it all, He is actually the final villain of S5, like according to Nancy there was a large creature with a gaping mouth which somewhat hints similar monster that we saw in Season 3 controlled by Mind Flayer. This all proves that Vecna is just the General of Mind Flayer's army.
And no Eddie Munson is not coming back I am sorry. He was busy with F4 during the shooting of S5. So that theory is not relevant.
Also 004 is also returning, there were leaked photos of someone wearing a similar uniform as Kali on the sets of S5.
Here's my theory.
Hawkins is stuck in 1989, the day Will was taken into the upside down.
Since the upside down will merge with Hawkins, would the group find kid Will in the place where he was held captive by vecna? And if so, what if they manage to fully extract the substance that was injected into will, hence changing the timeline, and stopping the mind flayer from using will as a spy?
I think Linda Hamilton will be the same type of character she plays on resident alien. Just not a comical one.
I think all the kids die except 11 because she's the only one looking to the right (future) in the poster. And Max isn't there . Just a thought

I think they mean around that moment, they're speculating that she'd wake up and open her eyes to the grace of Jesus Christ our lord and savior and that she'd become a born again christian and decides to go to Africa to preach the Word. It is also speculated that Lucas is gonna ask her why she's gonna go to Africa right when they're about to fight Vecna and save the world and Max will say "you're saving lives, and I'm gonna save souls" holding a Bible upside down as a nod to the upside down. Wink wink

I think the title for the first episode (The Crawl) in Season 5 is VERY interesting, considering Steve's speech to Nancy at the end of Stranger Things 4 before they go to fight with Vecna in The Piggyback:
Steve: "When I was a baby, I actually crawled backwards. Crawled backwards? You know, I'd push with my hands like this. Beep. Beep. Always in reverse, you know? Come on, it makes sense you push to move, right?
Nancy: "No, no it doesn't make sense."
Steve: "Well, it did to my tiny little Harrington brain. That is, until I reversed by baby butt down a flight of stairs and thumped my head really good."
Nancy: "Yeah... Wow, that explains so much."
Everyone has interpreted this scene as Steve coming on to Nancy (and that's true to some extent), but I think the Duffers might be dropping hints with regards to how they expect our characters to resolve their final conflicts. "Pushing to move" is what Eleven has been doing with her powers. Steve describes this as an intuitive process something that made sense to him from birth, the same for Eleven and even for Will. He doesn't fit in the same way since birth. Joyce describes him as much to Hopper when he goes missing in Season 1. They all have pushed against the prevailing social order. Steve said this approach worked for him until he got "thumped" by falling further than he could anticipate as a baby. The team does get "thumped" pretty good at the end of Season 4 - this seems to me that they've been "pushing back" against something deeper and bigger than they could forsee. I think it means that they're in to find out how deep it all goes.
Even though I like Johnathan and Steve, I feel like one of them is going to bite the dust. It has a nice little symmetry with Aragorn and Boromir. Kinda like 2 top dogs. Plus the whole love triangle needs to be resolved. Although, I wouldnt be mad if they killed Nancy..she gets on my nerves

Think we need where a spin off/ stranger things future. Steve and Nancy get married. Have kids. Uncle Mike and El are there too, When Steve and Nancy's kids get around 11ish, which puts them in the 90s, shit starts going bad again, maybe in a new town and we get to see them fight as the adults now and try to save their kids. That's my hope .. anyone? Dustin better make it too. Hoper and Joyce still together, but like, doing research now as they are old :D and feeding them info and tips on what to do. Maybe Mike could be sheriff now, Dusty can run the new science lab that researches the upsidedown. Will be the new big bad. IDGAF about Lucas, never cared for him. Max, she can be like Ripley level badass. Maybe a little to rogue to be a cop? ... Holly... well.... Not sure yet, she's still young. Maybe she can be like Steve was and the babysitter/protector rule.

When Jonathon and Nancy are staring at the red light in the sky you can see Steve in the background holding an axe. There’s another part where you can see him hugging Dustin while he’s crying.
Also in the first teaser trailer he’s in almost every shot.
