Hmm they look like mechanical disk brakes to me not hydraulic!
They are indeed hydraulic uses Shimano mineral oil. I own the Trail Se 4.
Handmade aluminium frames yes, but welded & made in china!
considering getting the trail 7 but the stem look so massive
