    love your videos and your energy .Just a heads up for future castle visits. I don't think you were supposed to climb over that barrier/railings lol-they are there to restrict access usually because its dangerous lol🙂

    It's amazing the amount of human labour that went into building these castles. Every one of the stones would have been manhandled numerous times before they were actually set in place. No telehandlers, no JCBs, no artics, no premix concrete, no CAD and no laser levels, just a lot of human grunt.

      Ain't that the truth. They'll still be standing long after most of the flimsy, cardboard structures we have today.

    You have had a packed day that day. I was outside the castle one evening in 2005, and I don't remember it being open at the time, so thankyou for giving me the view inside, after all this time.

    Doune castle, somewhat north and a bit west of Edinburgh, was used for a lot of the Holy Grail python filming. A right proper castle it is (not a model) and the audio thingies that take you around have python people adding commentary.

    That is truly the most strategically-placed shite I have ever seen, Eddy - just waiting to catch the white trainers of an excited child - or could it be placed so that an escaped prisoner goes skiting off into the arms of the waiting guards...?? I'm no expert in these things, but sheep normally lay chocolate covered sweetie sized pellets and so, if a sheep did THAT, I sure as hell don't want to encounter it in a dark night...!! Your head for heights must be improving by the way - but tell me, would you really have climbed through those bars on the first staircase had you not met these people coming back through them? I'm not sure I would have...!

    • @scottneil1187
      @scottneil1187 3 месяца назад

      Suppose it depends on the feed, I'd imagine the sheep there are eating wild grasses, plenty of moisture unlike the dry feed they normally subsist on.
