Thanks for featuring the Epihone SG Pierced! 😄🎸 I'm always watching these episodes to see if something I've listed gets featured 👀 so I'm glad it was this guitar and that you went easy on me! 😂 Thanks for the shout out! ✌️ Danny
@chris_2714 that's right! I remember a kid in my school in the mid 2000s had one and I questioned him to no end about it 😂 I couldn't believe they'd make a guitar with hoops in the headstock, all battered up and with an X cut out of the body 🎸 it definitely spoke to my angsty teenage self 😂 I changed up the pickup and wiring and added the pickguard to cover the neck pickup cavity 🙂 it's definitely an interesting design to begin with!
The only bit he thorught was factory on the SG was the thing that definitely was NOT factory, as opposed to everything else he thought wasn't factory... good times!
And yes, the Carvin M22 pickups are great! I had one in a Gibbo SG and was getting Fear Factory - Demanufacture tones from it. They're basically what D-Activators want to be.
Every Carvin enthusiast I've ever talked to (that's like 3... don't get too impressed LOL) has said the 22 pole piece pickups are amazing. I can't speak for that, but they do... loudly.
From what I see, yes, the pierced SG did come all dinged up and with the piercings on the headstock, though they came with 2 humbuckers in stead of the P90.
I've never commented on the RRL posts, but man...these cats ask like 5 figures for these monstrosities and have the balls to charge you for shipping? I'm no buy/sell expert, but that's just weird to me.
Hey man, i really enjoy these videos. Only nitpick i have is that you could maybe not hide the funniest/most interesting parts of the guitar behind the giant circle with your face in it. just like maybe 30% smaller would probably be alright i guess.
I remember not long ago or maybe it was but there was a car on the internet with the faces of random rock musicians on the hood and sides with Ace from kiss, I think Chad from nickleback and ozzy or something but that Beatles guitar immediately made it come to mind 😂
For reference, the average price on Reverb for that Carvin double neck is about $2500. I used to have one and it was a really great sounding guitar. If anything the smaller body should bring the value down from there.
When I was in a band in the early eighties, one of our guitarists had that same Carvin double neck. But I don't think it was the odd-sized rare one that this guy knows that he has.
The pierced Epiphone actually came with the piercings and the dings in the back, it actually seems to be in decent condition for what it is... Originally no pickguard and two humbuckers, indeed ugly. But damn, I knew many emo-teens who wanted it - to be fair, I wanted a B.C.Rich Beast back than...
accidently sold my sg for $50 dollars cause i needed diapers for my daughter shes 14 now. I miss it so much. seen it later at the pawn shop for 500 almost had it back but the pawn shop owner died the day i went to get it out of layway :( the gouges are from it being beat with a logging chain.
It did come with the piercing and they were beat like that from the factory. The guard is not factory. I sold one of these a few months ago. Tough sale for sure
Ooh, I like the pierced guitar. Just not that one listed. Edit: Dude, pierced is in the name. Of course they're going to be pierced. That was the reward they were offering back in the day when it happened. You're not the sharpest tool in the shed are you?
...funny how guitar players are supposed to be innovative musicians but God forbid anything different in guitar design after 1955. Players called the Telecaster the canoe paddle and said it was stupid when it came out...
Yes, and I agree liking some odd models say a Bana Design Danelectro made in 1960 or the Narrow design in 1970's, even a star design some bands used in 1980's But if the Delta wing is hard to play and if narrow part was made shorter people could use model more easy
Strandbergs are unusually shaped, but for a reason, ergonomics & weight. I personally dislike guitars with figures or scenes painted on them, much like my dislike for tattoos on women.
i see these weird shapes and think why do fenders an gibsons look like they do and haven't really changed in any significant way in 60 years. oh nobody wants weird sh@t.

love the fact it's weird and ugly...
I actually think it’s kinda cool. Just not the earring loops on the headstock.
So is that all stock? Hoop piercings, heavy relic job, etc? Definitely a unique guitar
@@imdartson3679 it does have some devisive design choices! 😂😬 but a great playable SG model regardless! 😎🎸

"What do you think this guitar smells like?"
☠☠☠ I'm dead.
If you see "1 other person has this in their cart," it means the seller added it to HIS OWN CART, to make it look like someone actually wants it.
shhhh
The only bit he thorught was factory on the SG was the thing that definitely was NOT factory, as opposed to everything else he thought wasn't factory... good times!
No I remember those pierced sg’s epiphone actually did it not the earring part though
@@powerinformation They did, google image search.

that is true..... I know a real good player that has stuck with his Carvin for 30 years.
If the DB Cooper was an actual Gibson LPJ I would really consider that 2k price tag tbqh
It was kinda cool honestly
I do really like the colour combo on the first SG
Keisel has continued the double neck tradition. That way Jeff can cuss you out twice.
I've been waiting for him to review that DB Cooper guitar for months lol

I was watching a mind expanding documentary but noticed that Fluff has a newRRL episode out so… I mean, I got my priorities!
That carvin doubleneck is the wieght of a single peavey t40
FUN FAX
That Gary Kramer has a cut-out for a beer gut.
I was thinking the pierced SG was overpriced, the the other entries blew that out of the water.

My friend had the Epiphone. The x and the gouges are stock. Super light body. It was nice
When you said the pierced Epiphone was cheap, was that sarcasm? I hope so. I love my Schecter more every day.
I remember not long ago or maybe it was but there was a car on the internet with the faces of random rock musicians on the hood and sides with Ace from kiss, I think Chad from nickleback and ozzy or something but that Beatles guitar immediately made it come to mind 😂
"Oozes fun-filled agression..."
I think they hace medication for that.
I secretly want to rip on that DB guitar at a show. But, the price is going to have to come down to $600.
Enjoy the channel and nice Snapcase shirt
Dig the Snapcase shirt
Good batch this show. That SG Pierced at least is relatively affordable ridiculousness.
troglys guitars is selling a switch tip for $150 btw
He’s sipping on a huge cup of the Gibson Kool-Aid for sure.
just the tip?

The only fluff videos the algorhythm decides to show me
I'm just here for that Snapcase shirt.
“Very Ergonomic” sounds like it could have been included in the phrases on Jeff Beck’s Guitar Shoo
The gouges were factory. I miss mine.
I bet the De Lecugo smells like nail polish remover.
Is Switzerland and swimming with heads bubbles really that good? I don't know. Namastè.
Check out the “JD-33”
LOL Carvins of that era are 100% hard rock maple, very stable, hard and HEAVY!!
Ugh that silver guitar shape 😅

I dindn't know the ranch guy was a gear nerd.
Was the face over the pierced ‘x’ a terms of service decision?

The pieced on the headstock is factory 🤦🏻♂️ I remember seeing it and 🤮 the thing is fugly en masse
Reverb is ridiculous now.

I think I have watched too many of these as when I saw it I was like thats not that bad of a guitar for the price.
$14,000 is ridiculous but I don't hate the Tomcat... or Delta wing or whatever it's called.
They pierced the guitars ear
I don't think those Beatles paintings are half bad, some nutty fan with grab it i bet

The Epiphone is pierced on the headstock.
🤘🏻🤘🏻
Gary, Gary, Gary...
I'm the only one here, I'm looking at that Gary Kramer, and I'm scared
Greedverb
The Carvin is kinda’ cool, but not 17K cool.
I’m not sure I’d pay 17K for *any* guitar, no matter how rich I was.
Seriously, nobody is going to comment about the video editing?
Strandbergs are unusually shaped, but for a reason, ergonomics & weight. I personally dislike guitars with figures or scenes painted on them, much like my dislike for tattoos on women.
D.B cooper goes with the jimmy hoffa guitar. Hoffa was a better bungie jumperor. Hey a Dean© bonnie and clyde guitar wood bee sexy
i see these weird shapes and think why do fenders an gibsons look like they do and haven't really changed in any significant way in 60 years. oh nobody wants weird sh@t.
I'd fill the "pierced" hole with resin and install an LED in it.
I think the guitar was named for the "double piercing" on the headstock, though...hence the piercings. 😅
"DINSOSIDT!".....or whatever he exclaims between gear selections. 🤔 (I yell it through the house periodically during the day.)
He says “next listing.” 😆
@@Chris_Lohmann Haha, thanks. I could never quite catch it.👍😅
I will adjust my house yelling accordingly.
How the hell did you come up with that??😂😂😂😂 lol
They should make a DB Cooper pooper scooper…
Nothing worse than paintings of people, characters……. bands on guitars!!! The worst! Why:))))) music related or not……… stop!
Unless made for a band/musician or made by a factory.
Gibson just dropped the ball!!!
What did listing 4 smell like, I don't know, but it looked like a 70's porn soundtrack
I bet that De Lacugo deadass smells like a Steel Panther song
Ear rings on a guitar......where's the ink and man-bun ?
7 of 30?!?!?! They made that mistake 30 times?!
Johnny Depp has the Pierced SG in his cart
I will pass on the fun filled aggression.
Closely associated with Stratocasters, the Beatles. Wait, I don't mean closely associated, do I?
When I see the thumbnail I immediately start to giggle :D
What's he saying in that high pitched voice at the end of every listing? 😂😂
Next listing
🤣😂🤣😂
i go on reverb daily, i never see stuff like this,
HOW DO YOU DO IT?? xD
