I have tried this type of light using an old but fully charged 12 volt motorcycle battery and the light lasted the whole night during a camping trip, so no worries about it. It's best that you use a separate power source other than your car battery to be on the safe side. I have also tried it using a gasoline generator set and the wires burned out that I have to resolder them to the COB panel. So avoid this typ e of power source as the load is too powerful for the wires.
