It's barely been a week since the Hyundai i10 left Dad's workshop with a brand new timing chain and clearly he couldn't help himself and decided to do more sill and rust repairs! God forbid he has a sit-down.
This time on the nearside of his trusty 1999 Peugeot 406 Estate GLX which he has nearly had from new!
The ultimate bangernomics vehicle - in this video, Day 2, we talk to Dad about his Peugeot 406 and what work he is doing - the patch is in - now its time for filling!
Plus we have a bit of workshop chat and banter about what is to come soon

That would be fun! We will be at Rustival but not doing a clutch or on the live stage 😂
I'm trying my best at preventative maintenance at the moment so it never gets to the welding stage. Wire brush in a drill followed by Vactan a couple of days later primer not cellulose as no good for Vactan followed by enamel then Lanoguard a few weeks later.🤞

Looks good a really good job i know where there are about 3 or 4 of these car's. There going back nature. I found best place to get parts for Hyuinda are auto doc. They seem to do them fairly cheap for quality.

Jon if it helps your Dads search the part number for the pads for his car are 58101-B9A70 I’ve just looked it up with his reg on Hyundais parts system for you.

I think the Rover 75 should replace the Peugeot, with occasional borrowing of the Doblo when "stuff" needs shifting..... and those Audis need moving on !
Rover is a saloon ... Dad would have to physically remove the back seats. Terrible idea. Doblo also is far too small. Sadly

It's a free country, we'll sort of. If he wants to smoke it's his choice, and I don't and never have.

@@paultaylor9652 yes its his choice - I am just concerned for his lungs - and I like the mans wisdom and want him to be here much longer to share his wisdom so wind your neck in
I'm also not overly happy about the smoking BUT its up to him. He's smoked pretty much all his life. The damage is done - but he knows how I feel
