I feel like I'm in an airplane listening to a safety briefing. In a good way. Every word is spoken clearly and every instruction is given with clarity. Good job. Subbed.
I've been clearing eTart with zero idea as to what the portals do. At least now I know what's causing me to lose dragon gauge randomly in Phase 2. Fantastic guide! Love your narration voice too.
Yup, definitely a double-edged sword to bubble right in the middle of Punishment Waves. Much more safe space, but you rely on a teammate to break you out. If two people bubble in the middle then it's a recipe for disaster later on when people can't dragon-tank bubble-less waves
I'm very appreciative of this guide! While I can understand people's proclivity towards the speed clears (seriously, why did they bring back the ennervation mechanic for an element that wasn't known to possess units capable of doing massive damage quickly pre-Thor), I do think that learning the mechanics of the fight will really improve people's clear time. The bubble mechanic is the most crucial element to this fight, yet the game really doesn't even tell you. Combine that with ennervation mechanic and phase one is just a freaking nightmare. I honestly hope that they rebalance this fight in the future. But, even if they don't, this guide will be an incredible resource for players to look to. Once again, thank you for your great work!
Definitely a big clear-time breakpoint dependent on whether or not you can skip or near-skip the first portal opening... hopefully the announced rebalance in the future makes this fight much less painful to deal with.
I'm still confused as to why they gave light one of the higher health agitos, gave him damage reduction with fury of the fallen, and had him reduce the amount of healing you can output. Its like the total opposite of what light can handle :/
I'm getting 4 minute Light clears, now - if we factor in that mVolk and eTart have similar amounts of HP, Light actually isn't doing too poorly. It's just that they gave an Expert fight a Master healthpool. Not sure where the justification for that came in...
@@XenoXilus Hey man, have you considered to do a 4 G!Zena vs E-Tartarus vid? Because i think this is awesome, Gala Zena was my first Gala Light unit and she's so interesting to play thanks to "A Staff Unit that is an Attack Unit" Maybe you can test this 'cause when i've done it was my first E-Tartarus clear and it was so great
This is an extremely helpful guide and video! Thanks for putting it all together with such great quality. The in game footage and snippets of images from the game within the video really help a lot. The on screen text along with what you're saying is very helpful. Thank you for making this video!
Wonderful guide. The bubble and portal mechanics are really something that people need to know for ease of clearing. Though I have to say, my Alfonse has also been seeing plenty of success, so he's a possible off meta pick. This might also be something to consider, assuming it's not a bug or something else, but having the print 'A Solitary Light' can be used to resist the poison affection inside the poison portal with non-poison resistant characters. At least, the one time I did go in with Alfonse I was never poisoned while I had that print on, so it's probably worth looking into.
@@XenoXilus Thanks! I'd also like to point something interesting out. The first time Tartarus uses Punishment Arrows/Waves the purple markers are much bigger than subsequent uses. These attacks can kill you easily in one hit if not careful, but you can normal tank them after since he stops using Dimensional Shift after disabling his portals. Same for his arena wide Mortal Chaser, that variant only seems to appear while his portals, and thus, Dimensional Shift, is usable. It's likely the attack power is scaled back since you won't be able to dragon tank effectively as the fight goes on and this fight really seems to stress the importance of conserving your dragon shifts for the right moments.
Great guide Xeno! I didn't know how most of the mechanics worked before. I don't know how relevant this is but I found a way to dodge the aoe attack that the portals do before entering it
@@XenoXilus no actually, you have to enter the portal in a specific time when the shadow of tart opens it, its sounds hard at first but its actually not that hard once you have done it before
FINALLY SOMEONE HAS MADE A GUIDE! Ever since Tartarus came out it’s just “oh how to auto standard with shadow team haha” thank Xeno. Edit: thanks again I got my first clear today thanks to this guide.
XenoXilus another good unit for Tartarus that I used was Julietta. She does struggle with curse affliction so early on she is a dps unit but in phase two she is amazing.
Thanks for the guide! I got my clear quickly after watching this. I didn't know the portals were portals, I thought they hurt players at first lol. Also I had no idea about the first three mechanics, the game does a poor job of explaining them (they don't explain them at all rather). Lastly the orbs that you block the arrows with was tricky to grasp until I watched this as well, it's the most crucial part of the fight aside from the portals imo.
All this has shown me that I should wait till the adjustments are made ... But don't get it confused this is a VERY great guide and I will be watching it over and over till I understand the fight
Just got my first expert clear with a 7.5k might Peony. Normally she’s 7.8k but I switched from my Thor with 2 unbinds to my Cupid with none since no one else was using Cupid.
I really do wonder what idiot on the dev team decided "you can't complete agito unless you have VERY specific comps, which you will likely not have because we have horrible drop rates." Even using your guide, I can't complete this fight on standard, all because I don't have the special heroes that are utterly required. Your guide, on the other hand, at least breaks things down well, so I'll give you a like, but I hate the way this game punishes players with poor luck.
lmao i was like, is my albert bugged or something? did i just waste 70 mc-ing him? why am i only dealing 999 damage what, and then i remembered, tartarus does this lol
Thanks for the guide! I'm trying to enter the game with Xuan Zang or S!Cleo but no one accepting me so I didn't even get to play the second phase... I don't want to craft a 6star weapon before I know which character I want to use.
@@OasisMii Personally I haven't made any 6 Star weapons yet, prioritising the tree until I have the materials to MUB the wand in one go. For Wyrmprints I've been using Candy Couriers and Spirit of the Season. If you're lacking Candy Couriers, something like Resounding Rendition should be an okay substitute.
i'd say that whoever made this fight was probably on drugs when they did it, but tbh i think a person on drugs could have done a better job. this thing is a complicated nightmare.
This fight is still absolutely wretched. I was able to beat it but the fight took 8 minutes. Second phase is much easier because the mechanics suck much less. I had to use Grace for extra defense and dispel so my AIs wouldn't die. Horrible fight, designers should be ashamed of themselves. Negative 2 out of 10.
I’m still very annoyed that there are dark pubs that will not allow you to enter the trial unless you switch to dark with 10k might. Just annoying - yeah I get we can create our own room, but still....of the trials, this one takes the cake in my opinion.
The DPS for getting the speed clear is pretty strict - if you can't reliably kill phase 1 within about 10 seconds of the first portal opening (salvageable with Dragonform) then you won't be able to achieve the speedclear. Pubs are very much a mixed bag, so gating by might is about the only way people can try to help their odds
Honestly, most of fails while running this is pub is people not knowing how to fight this guy. Too many early dragon transformation caused me too much run in failure.
Some tips from comments on my clear video suggest liberal use of the "Wait" sticker, as well as the ... is it "Shapeshift Now"? They're seeing more uses now, anyhow. At the very least, I think things will get a lot more reliable once players work out the mechanics.
3 G!Zenas and 1 Ilia (Defenders of the Past and Future) VS Master Tartarus's Wrath, it will be a battle of legends 'cause Gala Zena and Ilia are OP for me It's coming soon to the Cinema xd
