Fun Fact: "Massaging" your salad or Kale is actually good! You break open the structure of it with the pressure and therefore the leaves let out the taste better + soaking in the vinegrette better :) Joghurt-Dill-Lemon-Dressing with a touch of mayonaise and Garlic is so amazing. I love to do sometimes a Tortelloni-Salad with it.

This is so beautiful and peaceful to me! I am a prep person as well🥰. I like to have everything ready to go for my meals. My Daughter and I recently found 5 baby Bunnies in our flower bed. We live in an area where we often have snakes and alligators in our yard so we bought them a habitat and moved them into our garage. That little scrap bag you have, we do the same and feed the Bunnies a few cool treats daily❤️

I sat on my couch under a blanket with a cup of coffee and zen-ed out while listening to this lovely video ☕️ I also love broccoli, I love to toss it in olive oil and seasoning and then roast it in a really hot oven so it comes out crisp and a little charred. Delicious!

This is such a special treat! So many relaxing crafts and bringing in Spring in such a lovely way. I really love these videos especially. They def send my insomnia brain into a space were it can finally relax.
Parchment paper is generally fine to use up to 420~450 degrees. It’s important to not let it stick up and touch the heating elements directly while broiling.
I value burner space too much to cook rice on it. For there are plenty of petite rice cookers. A small to medium sized on is like Zojirushi NHS-06 (600ml capacity). You could go either up or down in size depending on your needs. For me this is a non-negotiable item in a kitchen. That ideally you have a cupboard to store a small rice cooker so your counter space is preserved.

Lucifer is just like my cat Jasper. Always has to be involved in everything we’re doing at home. If we’re cooking, he’s in the kitchen hoping to catch whatever falls on the floor. If we’re building furniture, obviously the has to be in the room to supervise! & If we’re cleaning he also has to be there to make sure we don’t miss a spot 😭

I've grown chives in my backyard before and to be honest I think they need minimal water because they would grow so well with less water (just relying on rainwater every now and then)!
Lucifer is adorable! I also love making Salmon with veggies. I'll use a lemon pepper rub on my Salmon then bake it. I like making Asparagus with it. So delicious! 😋

Hi ALB! I've been loving your cooking videos. They've inspired me to take a more relaxed approach in my own cooking - the other day I got ASMR from gently chopping tomatoes! One question -- your autofocus is impressive, what camera is that?
About a year ago I upgraded my camera so now I'm using the Sony A7! It was a big adjustment because I'd been 100% a Canon girlie up until now. But I absolutely love this camera, I'm hoping to invest in new lenses in the future too 🥰
Adding salt and bicarb isn't really necessary (you don't need salt in the cooking water at all, the effect is has on flavour and boiling time is completely negligible) - if you par boil potatoes - and they should be FLOURY potatoes, like a King Edward or Maris Piper, and then drain the water, put the pan lid back on and shake the pan thoroughly. It bashes up the potatoes and that's the part that makes them crispy. You then put the pan back on the heat for a couple of seconds to evaporate the remaining water. Salt your potatoes in the roasting tray - this will stick to the broken edgesof the potatoes and help crisp them deliciously. That will give you perfect roasties every single time. The most important part is the type of potato - waxy potatoes just do not roast as well. You can also cut them much bigger and have all that delicious floury-ness inside. Oh and I would rec an oiled ceramic dish over using foil on a tray - the foil risks sticking to the taters, and the ceramic holds heat much better if you're opening and closing the oven.
I'll try some of your tips next time! I put the recipe I learned from in the video description- it definitely touches on what you mentioned with the waxy type of potatoes. I learned the hard way 😂

You may know this already but if you wet your parchment first and squeeze out the water it’s more flexible and doesn’t burn as easily 😊
