Visa Trophee owner Chris Robson has kindly converted some Citroën Marketing and Citroën Rally videos to digital files for us to run on the forum - www.visaforum.freeforums.org
This is really strange to watch after you have watched Ian from Hubnut do a real road test on a Visa.
I could listen to that voice all day...
The 80s! When everybody on TV looked like ABBA.
Hahaha. Yes.
My wife's first car as a student was near identical to the silver one shown. A great little beast it was, fondly remembered
More Space and Flexibility in this than modern day Mid Size SUVs
Anne Gregg probably jumped in her Mercedes SL after filming this to head home.
These were great little cars for their time.
Surprisingly professional presentation!
Great intro music - sounds like something used as background in the 1st series of Auf Widersehen Pet
spot on observation- very 80's!
wife just said that to me b4 I looked at the comments LOL
I have the theme song to Auf Widersehen Pet on vinyl.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I owned a Citroen visa 650 special it was fitted with a 2cv engine. It was not fast 70mph with wind behind you and it would take for ever to get to that speed. I loved that little car I loaded it up with two people and all our camping gear drove it to Somerset and took the coast rd to Devon going up porlock hill 4in1 first gear all the way to the top.
Amazing Car Made in French
This was all filmed around Slough and the countryside around it. I recognised the locations.
Wish i could try a Visa my self ! Very underated cars they were ....
That intro 😮❤
Visa un jour, Visa toujours. Nu besoin d'un visa pour rouler en Visa ... Merci pour le partage ... !!
The Citroën Ax father
The test car was around until 1996. Not bad
I shared a visa with my mum, as a young driver, one with the 600 twin cylinder and 2cv suspension (the really base version!). Comfy and very economical for its time. It just a terrible shame it came along as citroen went bust and Peugeot bought the company.
If the Visa had been developed just a bit more internally with less metal, more trim, and soundproofing (even simple rubber bump stops would have saved us owners from the whole car going twang when closing doors).
For a little more investment in bringing it up to Fiesta, Renault 5, even metro levels, it would have been a top seller, as it had as much space as an escourt and bigger boot, and really was a proper 5 door hatch. Instead we got stuck with the cramped, smaller saxo/106 (with those awful pedal layout). It could have helped citroen keep afloat.
