I hate to speculate but I’m guessing the reason she never gave us one is because she hasn’t been out as trans until recently, and she may have been worried her natural hair would give it away (I’m pretty sure she’s always wearing extensions). Sad anyone should have to worry about that but I would guess that’s the reason

@@vanivanilli purple shades as in the lilacs aswell that is still purple... So yeah there is a lot in comparison. The purple theme is meant for it's main feature. You can't just have only purples!
@@vanivanilli It didn't have a lot of darker purples but if you cover up the 3 shades (the blue one, the red one and the gold one) that are not, the palette still is very pink and light purple.

Erin 1984 it's ok, your opinion is not representative to his target consumers. Bcuz from his target consumers' pov (his yt subs/followers) majority are giving positive reviews. Reminder; his target consumers are mainly his yt subs, not drama channels' or other youtubers' subs/followers.
Maybe it’s just on camera but when she said “she said she wanted a true red that didn’t blend to pink and she did that.” All I was thinking was “that looks pink.”
Same. I feel like her blending skills weren't as they usually are, it's a really un-blended look. Hopefully she's not doing that for Jacklyn bc that shadow looks like crap and doesn't do her Any justice.
red will always turn into pink around the edges when its blended because when red is lightened it becomes pink. she means a red that stays red where the colour was applied rather than applying pink even though it's deeper in the pan. The red in this palette is a true red ! :)

@@wonyoungyie1536 we both understand how it works... She meant it the way she said it. I'm obviously not her and can't totally speak for her but I'm positive you just explained something we already knew. In the video she said it didn't blend out to be pink like most reds do, but it did and then she added more pink. We can see the process and like the og commenter said it may have been the monitor changing the color a bit... But I doubt it bc her eye looks weren't blended whatsoever, not like they usually are.

Since your face is not a straight surface of a white matte canvas with no variations of shade and light, different shades of blue might look like one and the same on your face as opposed to painted on a surface. So you're bound to repeat colors.

Valerie I only do a concealer as a base on my eyes but I do all my face makeup after doing my eyes so that I can clean up any fallout 🤔
Not getting fallout has nothing to do with talent though. She’s amazing but if any shadow’s going to fall on your cheek, its happening whether you’re an amateur or Lisa Eldridge.

I honestly appreciate the maturity of Nikki. That’s what I was thinking. I went through my favorite transition shade in her first palette and now I need to look for a dupe for the rest of it.
I completely agree. I've had to buy more single eyeshadows in specific neutral colors than anything because I WILL run out of them before any other colors (except black... I run out of that pretty fast also). Unfortunately I don't always have time to to put on a fabulous pink or red color eye look, so a neutral cat eye is my go to.

I loved the ABH Modern Renaissance palette but it was dusty as hell. they put a dusty ass eyeshadow in velvet packaging 🤦🏾♀️

Noticed it too straight away, it looks nice and defined but definitely not the same colour through the brow!
I think sme brow products oxidise this way. Once i used maybelline brow tatoo. I ended up with kinda green brow 😂

But I am ready for jeffery next palette after bloodlust he said it would be more gothic deeper so I am guessing the purples we all thought was going to be in bloodlust instead of the pastel ones. I am forsure getting bloodlust I love some lilacs but I just know the next one is going be purple of our dreams
Really disappointed with this look. All she did was pat the pigment on. It's easy to make that look good. I wanted to see a real look with proper blending. This was blatantly transparently a plug for JH.
Nikki seemed at the beginning like she was like “eh, do I have to?”, but so much fun to see her get to excited

@@iza7.77 Thank you :).... Yes, I bit the bullet and placed my order for JH Vol2 last night. I am not overly fond of Morphe palettes as a rule but I do have several of them, including JH Vol1, as well as the James Charles Morphe. What I must say is the JH Vol1 seemed to be of higher-quality formula than the Morphe ones. I will update my first impression as soon as Vol2 arrives.

I'm happy that she finally has a bit of quality behind her name, but there are too many repeating colours for my taste. There could have been a bit more variation in oranges especially. I think you always rock the "exotic bird that is exotic" look, so that's my pick.

I feel like no matter the look, super precise or just a mess, lashes literally pull it all together and make it look so good! Like, a dramatic look without lashes feels wierd to me

I love that you are doing a different look on each eye. So often we see influencers doing on whole look that uses 5/20 shades. I've only seen jeffree star consistently do different looks on each eye. It gives us a broader look at the pallet quality when you do this. Thank you thank you thank you!

Okay, so I thought the palette looked familiar and I finally figured out why
INSTAGRAM!
That's because nearly every palette launch in 2019 was this exact color story 🤣😆 we've seen this before, about 100 times already. At least I sure have 🤷🏻♀️ the colors are pretty and I will always love vibrant shades, but at this point, the only way to bring something unique to the table is to perfect the formula, the price point, and have clever marketing I guess.
