Highly Focused Radiation Treatment Offers Hope for Patients with Advanced Prostate Cancer

- University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) faculty recently launched a new clinical trial to test a targeted form of highly-focused radiation therapy in patients with advanced prostate cancer that has spread to distant sites in the body. The study aims to determine whether the innovative approach - which uses highly-focused radiation beams to carefully target small metastases - can extend survival in these patients.
The University of Maryland School of Medicine serves as the anchor for a large academic health center which aims to provide the best medical education, conduct the most innovative biomedical research and provide the best patient care and community service to Maryland and beyond.

Also to note is Radiation is a 'treatment' not a "Cure" or "Remedy"

The doc says it himself at 1:06 that Radiation "MAY" even cure some of these patients....The word "May" is not a definite.
