At nearly two years in, that Italy joke (~1:32:00) went straight over my head at first and I wondered was that a very prescient fascism joke? Then I realized the reference and was struck by how adorable it is that after a whole hour, they're still talking about the pandemic.

That was mesmerizing, insanely fun and educational on so many levels. I thought Dave Grohl and Busy Phillips' episodes were good (which they are), but this one is simply one of the best things I've ever watched anywhere.
I'm in law school, and a (female) professor advised us to put our hair back when talking in court. It can be distracting for the judge, but mostly for yourself if you have to adjust it repeatedly when trying to focus on your arguments.
@@mrtempertantrum honestly, I don't think that's the case where I live (the Netherlands). The majority of judges are female and most of them have longer hair. Not a lot of stiff hair helmets to be seen. The tip was meant as a debating technique: avoid distracting yourself in any way. For example, don't wear a heavy watch/uncomfortable heels/a tie that's overly tight.
Honestly I’m so in line with Whitney’s line of thought with how to handle if you want to cheat. Like, just break up beforehand, we’re grown ups we can deal with it.
I fully respect Whitney’s rap about taking feedback from her audience vs from other comics. It is totally against my instincts from listening to so many comedians, but it really makes a lot of sense. I think some people will think it is a ”sell out” kind of mindset, but I think you can still be true to your art and still be developed enough to at least hear what your audience things beyond “you’re amazing!” or “you suck”.
Last week, I came across some of Taylor's comedy reels on Facebook, for the first time and I absolutely love her. She's just a really good comedian and I look forward to seeing more from her.

But as nurse have taken the Advanced disaster life support training... a must for anyone with crippling anxiety . This taught me how to deal with pandemic but not how to deal with whole country that is ignorant, now with Putin's war and possible nuclear war I am giving up. Had wanted to do standup but got myasthenia gravis so have to sit down and no way could tolerate traveling so have intensely studied comedy as one does while irrationally hoping time rolls back ,strength returns and bad choices disappear so listening to you 2 was phenomonal. Whit doing her best Kanye impression: "Imma let you finish, but first..." Let Taylor finish a single sentence! She's witty, charming, and interesting. Would loved to have heard her finish any thought or sentence without an immediate interruption or long rant by Whit that was twice as long as Taylor's answer. 🙄
That's fair, but I have been listening to her newer ones recently and am just going back to earlier ones now, and one of her team threatens to shoot something at her when she's interrupting so I thought you'd want to know- She heard aaand she's learning
I came here to say the same thing!
That was mesmerizing, insanely fun and educational on so many levels.
I thought Dave Grohl and Busy Phillips' episodes were good (which they are), but this one is simply one of the best things I've ever watched anywhere.
first time in my life i could watch just 2 people talking and being funny for over an hour without hating it even a single second.
I'm in law school, and a (female) professor advised us to put our hair back when talking in court. It can be distracting for the judge, but mostly for yourself if you have to adjust it repeatedly when trying to focus on your arguments.
And it looks much more professional.
Apparently the more stiff a woman's hair is, the more we think of them as an authority. It's sad.
Can you two hang out more often I absolutely love this !!! You’re just so damn cute together
It’s bad business to take advice from people who don’t pay your bills. Whitney, this golden advice.
A comedy icon becoming bffs with a future comedy icon. THIS is top tier content!
So I'm not the only one that does that ?? Whitney you are so relatable!! Taylor I'm obsessed with!!
This was my first podcast and I think I just discovered gold. You both were extremely funny and candid. If you don’t know both of these amazing comedians you are missing out. I
Am hooked.
Had this saved to listen to for months. Huge TT fan,but that laugh Whit, you have a new fan. So nice to hear joy in it😊. Its contageous!
OMG 😂 I LOVE the part about Crash Test Dummies .... When my son heard the lyrics to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody he made the same comments as Taylor ... But now he rocks the whole album. Yeah, he's 15. LOL. You girls rock!!!! LOVE you both so much ❤️
Her reaction to the Crash Test Dummies was awesome.
So like... When's part two coming out?
These two together are absolutely stellar! Hilarious!
I just learned who Taylor is a couple weeks ago. I heard Bert talking about her and how she used to open for him, then I watched her special. She is so naturally quick and funny!! I Really recommend her special on Netflix.
Great episode and conversation, Whitney!
FluffyMatzahBalls Me To! Glad it happened. ✌️👍
Whitney, just learned about you from RUclips within the past two weeks and caught parts of multiple stand up sets. YOU ARE AMAZING!!! Stay safe and keep doing your thing.
Dude. I'm so happy this is so long!!! I'm only 25 min in and grateful I have so much more to go!
Just hearing this now.so cool from perspective of 64 yo who worries about everything and prepares to the max..5yo daughter watched me get full sized spare to augment the donut and shook her head saying why stop there? But as nurse have taken the Advanced disaster life support training... a must for anyone with crippling anxiety . This taught me how to deal with pandemic but not how to deal with whole country that is ignorant, now with Putin's war and possible nuclear war I am giving up. Had wanted to do standup but got myasthenia gravis so have to sit down and no way could tolerate traveling so have intensely studied comedy as one does while irrationally hoping time rolls back ,strength returns and bad choices disappear so listening to you 2 was phenomonal.
Also reintroduces me to conversation skills that have fallen away alone with cats and dogs. Major props to both of you
Not only are these 2 ladies hysterically funny yet real, they also have the same birthdays as me and my step-daughter! No wonder I love them so 😂
I know nothing about modern comedy, so I spent a few hours just YouTubing dozens of stand ups. By far, the funniest were these two, so jazzed to see them together here!
Omg Taylor’s look when Crash test dum song it’s priceless
Whitney, I love this channel/podcast. You rock, and you're getting us through this pandemic one episode at a time. Furthermore, this is the only episode I've watched more than once. Gotta make Taylor a regular. WU-TANG!
Omg, ‘Whitney Cumminto my Office’ PLEEAASE write this book!
I could just listen to Whitney and Taylor talk about life all day long
Taylor is my absolute favorite comedian. She makes me laugh so hard.
These two young ladies are a delight to listen to. Very sharp but also very honest.
I’m laughing so hard because the drummer from the Crash Test Dummies came to my high school in 2013 and spoke and played some pretty sick drum solos. Everyone told him that he looked like the art teacher. He didn’t. It was just because they were both bald
