Boy! This brings back wonderful memories! When I was MUCH younger, I lived in a mountain ski resort. The population went from 300-400 during off season to over 10,000 during winter and summer seasons! Entertainment during off seasons was self made and money/meals were small & sparse. SOOO... One of the night clubs had a dog named Bandit as a mascot. Every spring the owners of the club gave her a birthday party. She had a dog food & milk bones cake. All the dogs in town - and there were many, all big dogs - were invited and got special party collars & party hats! One of the local bands played & everyone brought food & drink to share! It was a feast for all during an otherwise noneventful time. With great food, music, dancing & drinks! And the dogs enjoyed playing and being inside the club with their owners! Bandit's Birthday Bash was a "must go" for a 100 mile radius throughout the mountain area! I still have the photos from some of those parties! Bandit was a wonderful dog and my 6 years there are some of my best memories of my 71 years! Happy Birthday Belatedly, Brodie! 💖
