IKEA countertop is not solid wood and will start to sag. You can buy a butcherblock countertop from lowes for 200 and have them cut it any way you want if you don't want the full size. A countertop is a great idea. Most of the table tops in IKEA are made of MDF which gets scratched all the time and then swells with moisture as if the desk had pimples. A kitchen countertop actually has to be better quality (e.g. plywood) since it's a work surface that can get wet. Not that hard to fasten on a support bracket the the underside. Wouldn't take much brain power to create one from scratch either. Yet not many people do it. They tend to put in a middle leg that just looks stupid and tends to get in the way
It's not, it's just the camera lens distorting it, you can see it's parallel to the ground. If you look at the side monitors they also don't look perfectly rectangular because of the distortion. It's just way easier to notice on the desk cause it's so wide and "thin" relatively to everything else

I have no ikea anywhere close to where I am sadly so what desk should I get?
Did you attach the countertop to the Alex drawers, using anything?
I have the same setup. Also get a center leg. The desk will sag over time otherwise
Does it come in Black?
How do you deal with the sag? A countertop that long with that weight on top will sag over time.
Cool wallpapers! Where can I find them?
Save even more money by buying x3L brackets and turn it into a floating bench. Those drawers are overpriced imo, table top is good value though.
I know everyone uses it still looks damn good. When I finish building my pc I hope I can still afford tbis
I love your setup ❤❤
Please introduce all of it😊
Please
This Ikea hack is gorgeous but the problem is the depth for me which I think it's around 63cm that is not enough for my LG c2 that I use as a monitor.
For ppl who has smaller monitor I think is very good desk setup
Do people in USA buy furniture only from ikea. Ikea recently also opened in metro cities of India, but its like any other furniture shop
I use a 6' x 3' activity table. Like one of those big flat top tables you often see in schools.
