For those who don't understand the time lag thing, remember in season 1 when Todo first encountered Yuji and said that there was a time lag between Itadori's physical attacks and his cursed energy output. It was a bad habit of Yuji which he perfected into Black Flash. But now he can consciously control that time lag and hence he caught Mahito off guard. This is explained well in the manga but I don't know why the animators didn't include this very important detail which decided the outcome of this battle.
Yeah the moment before that final black flash could have been so much better. If only they didn't waste time with todo's dance routine they could have given it to Mahito setting up his bait and yuji countering it with a controlled divergent fist. That's too bad
Mahito's VA did an incredible job. We have seen Mahito being child-like in his delight at discovering and developing abilities, and like a child (or, in this case, a curse), completely unconcerned with the way anyone else feels. And now he cries like a child when he's finally in fear.

To explain what happened in 14:39, since it's not explained Mahito thinks that Itadori found a way to activate Black Flash at will, and knowing that he can hit his soul, he moves his soul away from where he would hit before immediately going back to normal for a counter strike. The time lag Mahito questions is Yuji divergent fist. In the manga, they explain he lost the ability to do it since he got better at manipulating cursed energy, but he got the ability to do it at will during his fight with Choso Basically, Yuji basically tricked Mahito into thinking his next attack would be a Black Flash, so he could catch him offguard with a divergent fist.
That's not completely true. Mahito baited him with the armor peeling away to make him think that he was losing the form (remember that when he went into the pit one of his blades got destroyed just because of the damage of the previous bf) but instead reinforced the exposed point with all his cursed energy (like todo did with his bf). After he got hit he switched back up into attacking removing that cursed energy but yuji countered him by using divergent fist and damaging the now exposed (and unprotected) chest. He "lost" divergent fist only because it was a bad habit born out of his poor control of cursed energy. I fucking hate that they didn't put that explanation in the anime, so many people are getting confused

Since Todo was able to clap with Mahitos hand, we can assume something as simple as a prosthetic hand would work as a replacement. His technique can interact with anything that has cursed energy and you can pump your cursed energy into lifeless objects you're touching without any issues, so using a prosthetic hand and letting your cursed energy flow into it shouldn't be an issue.
The problem mostly comes from the fact that todo's second hand was charred after clapping mahito's hand, it isn't actually explained if he can still use boogie woogie if the surface of that hand was destroyed or not
@@_WatermellonCat What? How does that cause ANY problems with it? Sure, TECHNICALLY that could be a condition, but that is such an arbitrary condition you made up. Is it me or is there a bunch of references from other anime throughout the episode. Like Netero/Todo speech and Jajanken pose (HxH), Mahito’s dodge and counter like Sendo’s Smash (Hajime no Ippo), the art style during Yuji’s final black flash seemed similar to Luffy’s Celestial dragon punch (One Piece), others mentioned re:Zero when Mahito was running away but it reminded me of Light in his scene (Death Note)
There were! I saw someone point out that Yuuji throwing the 100 sign was a reference to the old 80's JoJo movie. Seeing it side by side Yuuji followed the same movements. There's quite a lot of references I wonder if anyone will compile them all.
Definitely. And not the first time other anime have been deliberately referenced. Remember Yuji’s disappointment at all the superpowers Gojo said he would not have for his cursed technique?
The opening is from the perspective of the villains. Imagine it as Mahito, Sukuna and Geto taunting the protagonists efforts. Making fun of all their hard work. Like Sukuna telling Yuji smth like "Oh, you're so special, you can do it, surely you won't just murder countless innocent people :)" The japanese lyrics are also about letting loose and having fun in this special night together, like you're going to a holiday party to get drunk or smth. But with the context of the shibuya incident, it reads more like the impression of an unhinged sociopath who is truly enjoying all of what's happening.
@@Hitchswitch111 That's fine man, I love it, but music taste is entirely subjective. Just explaining why the happy and lovely nature of the song fits well, because thematically it's the villains making fun of the good guys.
So one of the greatest things about Todo's last moment is that is a reference to an equally epic moment in a another manga (Spoilers for HunterXHunter) where a character can only use his power by bringing his hands together in prayer. He also gets his arm cut of an says a very similar line "A prayer comes from the heart" unlike Todo he then uses his ability one handed. So if you're a anga nut and know that scene Todo fakes you out even harder cause you expect the same thing to happen here. It's a deep cut manga reference used to subvert expectations! There;s even a good chance that Todo was using that scene as inspiration in universe since we know he reads Jump from his fake flashback with Yuji in S1
would be cool if he could revive his technique somehow, even just in a limited capacity by snapping his fingers or something, boogie woogie is just so pleasant to watch, it make the fight scene hype and unpredictable, but it was probably overpowered.
Specialz as the opening song has the same energy to me as “Bullet” by Hollywood undead. The instrumentals and vocal tone seems more upbeat but the lyrics are dark asf. Specialz is the perspective of the curses as they torment the sorcerers. “Let’s dance until we reach our dying breath On the frontlines of the Tokyo metropolis Let’s struggle till we’re at deaths door Let’s see your wild side” Bullet is set to an upbeat jingle but is essentially about suicide. “My legs are dangling off the edge Bottom of the bottle is my only friend I think I’ll slit my wrists again And I’m gone gone gone gone” For those that don’t know “Bullet” listen to it and then specialz with the English lyrics pulled up and you’ll see exactly what I mean
The thing about Todo's technique is that it's the acclamation of the soul, so he can still clap Mahito's hand at that moment because the other hand was still usable, but after that the part of the soul on both of his hand get transfigured and damaged so technically the soul can't acclam anymore
Mahito opened his domain for .2 seconds so that he could touch todo without getting close. All of mahitos domain is like the palm of his hand. That’s how he managed to get rid of his arm
Here lies today Boogie Woogie, he was a great man, always clapping' them cheeks, there are no words that can describe our pain. Rest in peace, Boogie Woogie 😔⚰️
9:30 the JJK fans were angry and harrasing the animator for this sequence because he showed Todo in a school girl outfit i.e crossdressing. These are fake fans.
Todo’s arm and technique is most likely gone forever. Mahito damaged his soul, which isn’t easily healed through Reversed Cursed Technique, hence why he says his Boogie Woogie is dead since he can’t grow his arm back 100%. I was a bit confused at this part at first too, since we’ve seen characters regrow limbs like nothing, but it seems to be the only theory that makes sense as to why the story chooses to kill his technique without normal healing working. *EDIT* One of the best moments is Sukuna just staring at Mahito like “this mf doesn’t even know what’s coming. Yuji don’t even need me to help him” lmao
9:59 That's what he meant by clapping isn't exactly what triggers his technique. 13:29 I still remember when they said that no one ever tamed a Makora, and so begins another rivalry between the MC & his closest friend Shonen stereotype. 14:32 How about The King of Curses cause he'll defeat Sukuna and take his powers but 1 curse he can't exorcise .... will be revealed next week. Also, it's not who you think it is. 18:54 Imagine BTS in the studio be like: "Now I know you're voicing Mahito but I want you to kick this bag before you whimper again."🤣🤣🤣 19:07 Here'a shock. Yuji saw what Geto really looked like for the 1st time that night. He's actually there and the way he stood above Mahito shows how much 1st Grade sorcerors suffer & lose their lives and they still cannot attain Special Grade level except a lucky few. The real Geto was That strong.... before he died anyway.
Honestly every reacter I've watched of this show needs to go back to season one and watch the key episodes, no hate bc seemingly everyone doesn't know what black flashes do or domains or even what mahito's abilities even are
Next week it will be like What geto does + Fans reaction = YEAAA but also AAAAA Where mei mei was at + Fan reaction = I dont think i like this girl anymore... wtf.
13:30 Don't fall for the animes lies. They made these lines soooo misleading with the presentation of that screen being shattered. And Mahito saying he thinks Yuji may be able to control it now, which he never said like that in the manga. Yuji can NOT use black flash at will. Abandoning all defense and focusing all of his cursed energy into that final hit was largely a gamble because he wouldn't be able to win if this doesn't work anyways. But NOONE; not even Gojo with the six eyes, can get the black flash timing down anywhere near consistently. If Gojo tried, he'd still be worse than 1/100 odds most likely. And Yuji did not break through that rule. Not at all. Without spoiling I can say that bro hasn't hit a black flash in ages in the manga lmao. So he definitely did NOT learn it, it's just the anime taking too much creative liberty with the wording and the presentation of that screen being shattered.
Todo can come back. The laws say so. Todo Aoi has been depicted as a tenacious person with immaculate brain power and control over his CE. For example the black flash, teaching itadori to hone CE energy to his core effectively getting rid of divergent fist & bracing himself when hit by mahito. Point being regardless of boogie woogie hes taking down anything below special grade. I know not exciting right? But remember when Todo caught both of mahitos swords and was about to get hit by a third appendage but still managed to instantly get away. He was touching the cursed energy from mahitos swords so the same way he smacked mahitos hands & switched places with yuji. Anything that holds cursed energy is grounds for the technique clearly. Now if you watch baki & you know the dude who said after getting his hand chopped off " ive always believed hands held back the potential of a punch" & then came back with a cuff over his nub and punched some dude expeditiously hard, then you know he could theoretically be right. Todo being so incredibly intelligent must be able to see the journey back to boogie woogie in a similar matter as the dude from baki by having a cursed item on top of the cuff. An incredibly difficult find & fit i bet. But we also know he can imbue items with cursed energy as well, we saw it with a hanger & playful cloud. If he cant find a object to match or even worse a toji situation with a coexisting cursed spirit, then couldnt he potentially make an item carry Cursed energy like yuta did with the ring & sword? Cursed energy is the only thing necessary to commit a Binding vow. A Binding Vow can be made between oneself or with another person through a verbal agreement, and once it is made, it cannot be canceled or altered. Todo can take matters into his own hands and clap again, after all he only needs one hand and a energy deposit to switch places. The bloody fake out during mahitos final stand was necessary but he had nothing else to work with in the moment. A Premeditated showdown would end up very differently for this version of Todo, as in he will dance on you with nothing short of his prime.

IN NEXT EPISODE WE'RE GONNA KNOW WHERE DID MEIMEI GO🔥🔥🔥
Nooooooooo
Probably dead lmao
@@AJ-62 Nah, us manga readers do know what happened.
@susnatamaiti1791 next episode will be satisfying
@@susnatamaiti1971 she isn't dead? finally some good news
would be cool if he could revive his technique somehow, even just in a limited capacity by snapping his fingers or something, boogie woogie is just so pleasant to watch, it make the fight scene hype and unpredictable, but it was probably overpowered.
Knowing how sukuna is, he was definitely proud of or excited to see yuji demolish mahito and taunt him like that
Nah the op is a BANGER
I think opening is so fitting, since it’s basically mocking all the deaths and cruelty occurring in this arc, kind of like the villains do.
Specialz as the opening song has the same energy to me as “Bullet” by Hollywood undead. The instrumentals and vocal tone seems more upbeat but the lyrics are dark asf.
Specialz is the perspective of the curses as they torment the sorcerers.
“Let’s dance until we reach our dying breath
On the frontlines of the Tokyo metropolis
Let’s struggle till we’re at deaths door
Let’s see your wild side”
Bullet is set to an upbeat jingle but is essentially about suicide.
“My legs are dangling off the edge
Bottom of the bottle is my only friend
I think I’ll slit my wrists again
And I’m gone gone gone gone”
For those that don’t know “Bullet” listen to it and then specialz with the English lyrics pulled up and you’ll see exactly what I mean
lmao JJK has some hard ass explanations my guy was struggling
"how did he get his arm, did he touch him?"
bro you really dont understand how domains work do you lol
The thing about Todo's technique is that it's the acclamation of the soul, so he can still clap Mahito's hand at that moment because the other hand was still usable, but after that the part of the soul on both of his hand get transfigured and damaged so technically the soul can't acclam anymore
Todo really said " do you think i NEED my hand to clap curse ?!?!?!?!!! "
" you are absolutely right"
And fooled mahito
Brooo the moment when "Geto" was there all of a sudden... This story is just hype after hype after hype
Cant wait to see Kanjaku unleash his ultimate ability: Backshots
Mahito opened his domain for .2 seconds so that he could touch todo without getting close. All of mahitos domain is like the palm of his hand. That’s how he managed to get rid of his arm
Pretty colors this shit looks sick 🤣🤣🤣
Yuji did the best conquers haki ki blast
the sparks of black do not choose who to bless
Todo did the perfect dap
Mans really said Geto has done to much and he hasnt even seen the next ep
Mahito really say ahhhuhhuaaaaaaa
What I understand from these reactions is that Hei has Hakari level IQ 😭
14:52 - He can use divergent fist at will now
Here lies today Boogie Woogie, he was a great man, always clapping' them cheeks, there are no words that can describe our pain.
Rest in peace,
Boogie Woogie 😔⚰️
This man todo is the goat change my mind
9:30 the JJK fans were angry and harrasing the animator for this sequence because he showed Todo in a school girl outfit i.e crossdressing. These are fake fans.
After this episode i think everybody accepts that Mahito's VA is the best VA in JJK
Sukuna let Mahito go cause he knew Itadori would end up whooping him anyways
WAERE YOU GO I GO WHAT YOU SEE I SEE
W take on the song, same exact one I had.
18:31 he's about to blooow~~~
I am you ! ! ! 🔥🥶👍🏻
*Everytime jjk start explain some curse energy move*
Me "ok i get it now" (i don't get it t all)
Geto loves yuji way more than mahito tho😂😂
soooooo goated
18:42 He said the exact same thing as the guy in the chat said at the EXACT same time 💀
5:50 i just read that shii as polys and kelp it moving
Todo Aoi is the realest brother
Todo should start clapping his cheeks now
5:45 yes. They’re called nomu 😏
WHERE YOU GO I GO
THANK YOU FOR EARLY UPLOAD 🙏🙏🙏
🔥💀🔥
WHYD YUJI WAIT SO LONG, NOW GETO FINNA SAVE HIM
Todo’s arm and technique is most likely gone forever.
I just realise everytime i saw u,i remember the tren twin 💪
RIP to my brother boogie woogie, we will never forget. 😔
Mahitos VA is the same guy who voices baki if you didn't know 😊
todo could just clap his cheeks for boogie woogie ez fix
9:59 That's what he meant by clapping isn't exactly what triggers his technique.
13:29 I still remember when they said that no one ever tamed a Makora, and so begins another rivalry between the MC & his closest friend Shonen stereotype.
14:32 How about The King of Curses cause he'll defeat Sukuna and take his powers but 1 curse he can't exorcise .... will be revealed next week. Also, it's not who you think it is.
18:54 Imagine BTS in the studio be like: "Now I know you're voicing Mahito but I want you to kick this bag before you whimper again."🤣🤣🤣
19:07 Here'a shock.
Finally not a week after 🥲
10:38 chat is on to NOTHING 💀
Where you go. I go
Don't worry I've got Todo, Imma start clapping bro's cheeks for him!
mahito will now get nappa treatment
Honestly every reacter I've watched of this show needs to go back to season one and watch the key episodes, no hate bc seemingly everyone doesn't know what black flashes do or domains or even what mahito's abilities even are
Next week it will be like
What geto does + Fans reaction = YEAAA but also AAAAA
Where mei mei was at + Fan reaction = I dont think i like this girl anymore... wtf.
18:31 Helen Keller be like
🤓☝️The Opening is from the perspective of a Curse and if you understand it's meaning it is pretty horrible. And it is pretty good
13:30
Don't fall for the animes lies.
4:00 Bad take, it's my favorite
5:48 everytime i watch jjk
They cut the yuji vs soul isomer fight?
Chat did skyfall actually play during this sceen or is it only a meme thing which the Fandom made
😹😹JJK cliffhangers are tolerable. Demon Slayer Entertainment District used to annoy me to the core
