Kinda disappointed a bit this time because they never talked about the lyrics. This song is like a pandemic anthem to me. And because they didn't pay attention to the lyrics they couldn't understand the meaning behind the mask-off scene. When thid song comes out a lot of ppl complained abt how cheerful it is and said its a kids bop and said they miss bts older era where they use dark concepts or sing hiphop but wht they dont know is bts makes music bases on their current emotion and state.
They are very honest in expressing their feelings. Some ppl want dark/sad vibes like fake love era when that era was the darkest stage in bts life bc they considered disbanding and dealing with many difficulties. They makes any tyoes of music they want bc they are artists. This is a song to give hope to ppl struggling in this pandemic,saying tht the condition wilo be better in the future so keep hanging on bc one day we will be free from those masks. Thts what they wnt to convey.
Akso the choreo in da nananan part is ASL bc they want to include all the hearing impaired fans in the song. Its so meaningful, they are so thoughtful. When they release a song, they didnt think of "what concept ppl want" but more abt the message and how they want to give hope to ppl or relate to more ppl. Thts why they are fanous. They are true artists.

Kinda disappointed a bit this time because they never talked about the lyrics. This song is like a pandemic anthem to me. And because they didn't pay attention to the lyrics they couldn't understand the meaning behind the mask-off scene. This song is the most relatable song to everybody and BTS just wanna tell us that we don't need permission to be happy despite the pandemic we are living in right now.

Pasal Leo tanya bts x buat hiphop songs ke actually 3 english funky songs ni as a trilogy for current situation. Like we in the middle of covid, mostly people feel depressed, lose hope. Since Dynamite to PTD, BTS did to cheer up fans and told that even tho we have to live with this disease among us, there will be a better world/future for all of us. That why at the end of the mv, dorang tunjuk buka masks bukan tanda protest atau anti mask but to tell one day we can living like before covid.
