The culture Bloom and Barber have developed at Brighton, I honestly don't see his age being an issue. The only question mark is over his experience. This is a huge step up, but some people have just got it and there can be a benefit to someone who quit football early and focused all their efforts on coaching.

As a fellow 31 year old, it's heartwarming knowing it's still young ;)

its important what you think and not how others define it :)
      you can be young when you are 60,70, 80, 90, 100 ... :)
you can be old if you are 18, 20, 30 and so on

Massive Risk but Nagalsman, Amorim, McKenna all starting manager roles in their 30s was fine? Alonso was a risk for Leverkusen and now we're lauding him as a great manager who Danny wanted to replace Klopp.
Hiring Moyes, Potter etc would be a risk. Hiring De Zerbi with a really mediocore coaching career was a risk. It's all going to he a risk isn't it?

But Nagelsmann was in his 20s when he took his 1st job as head coach in the Bundesliga.

Don't want to stay at Brighton what and finish in the top ten in the PL and have every chance of playing in Europe again in front of a full house every other week, as part of just about the best run club in the PL, in a fantastic part of the country with one of the top training facilities in Europe, Yep why would anybody want to stay at Brighton? Try asking Lewis Dunk!

Age only a number. We have to get over this age dynamic. Young people have the creativity/ideas.

What this means is he will basically be hoping Pascal Gross stays so that he can convince the squad he's worth their respect! But i'm not sure the age thing is really the factor that Danny is concerned about, but more his relative lack of experience.

It would be so much easier if other organisations in other business areas promoted and employed young managers.
    Oh, hang on a second.
    They do.
What makes footballers different? You do what the boss asks to the best of your ability - that’s what you’re paid for. Don’t like it? Then go and talk to someone, preferably said manager, like a grown up. Still don’t like it and don’t do what’s asked? Well, the door is that way.
“Experience” just means you spent x amount of time doing something, maybe repeating the same day for the last 30 years. It is a quantitive measure.
Man Utd to appoint Big Sam next then?

A bit embarrassing and hilarious by Brighton. Tiring to hear so many always saying Brighton are so clever and think outside the box etc blabla. With that appointment it’s almost 100% that they will get relegated.

Appointing any manager is a risk. Perhaps Murphy should keep his victorian ageist comments to himself.
