You do OTTER for the first (favourite) poem,
Then about 3 sentences to compare both,
Then do OTTER again for the other poem,
Then a conclusion.

Hey sir! Could i apply this to the WJEC examination board? And could i use this technique for unseen poetry too. Thank you for everything. I’ve only recently discovered your channel and despite you doing AQA normally i still use your videos because they’re so informative and useful i just wish i’d found it before rather than now since it’s so close up to the exams. Where is context meant to be in this though? Should I just do a couple PEACE paragraphs instead of the two 'T's (which stand for technique)?
There is no real requirements for context in this question. The context is the poem itself. For example, if you know that exposure is written about Owens experience in the First World War, that’s half of sentence, and is all the contacts you need.
i have so many questions how would u write about language form and structure in one OTTER paragraph and how many paragraphs would u write and how would u compare the two poems at the end
Each part of otter is a separate paragraph

If I study 4 poems really well as well as the other 11 poems and then memorise those couple of comparative sentences for the comparisons between poems within each theme (just as I would memorise the thesis statement for the other texts), do you think I would get a grade 9?

Yes, and you will notice similarities or differences while you write about the second poem

Does this still work if you do, like 4/5 paragraphs on one poem, answering the question, then do another 4/5 paragraphs on the second poem and compare similarities/differences of each section of the previous one? I did this today and it didn’t look right for me 😂

The context is the poem itself and the poet’s purpose

Just asking, would need to refer to context when comparing poems or would you loose marks for not using context @MrSallesTeachesEnglish
You do need to include context for the poetry anthology. You might lose some marks if you don't , i have from my own experience.
