I just finished building the same siboor v2.4r2 kit, but 300mm and with no included abs/metal parts (i printed my own) and also found the kit quality was excellent. Installing Canbus firmware and finding UUIDs was a pain and the printer.cfg needed a few octopus pro mcu pins added/corrected or inverted just to get it working or moving in the right direction but a great kit otherwise.
Thanks for this video. Kinda wished you pulled out the bed plate! LOL. I just bought one last night (Sorry, found you after I bought) with the CNC parts, no pretty parts. I got the ERCF8v2 as well. I'll print them once the build is done. Again, thanks for the video really appreciate it!
The buildple is better than I imagined. Very flat, and I don't seem to have the bowing issue I see others talk about... although I don't heat it over 95c
Great video! One of the best unboxing videos when it comes to the more technical details and attention to detail on the component quality! I was about to pull the trigger but I just saw that Siboor released the Voron Trident AWD kit... I think I'll wait and send an email about a possible Voron 2.4 R2 AWD kit w/ the Phaetus Rapido UHF! 👀
Thanks for covering this kit. I had my eyes on the LDO kit but with your comments, Siboor is now ony radar. The only disappointment I have is there is no customisation of the kit, frame color is only black and you only get the dragon Hotend.
I can understand that about the colors and hotend, unfortunately that's one of the tactics that keeps prices lower. More choices, logistically makes prices higher.
I have the same Siboor kit from December. Mine came with TAP, not Cartograhper, but I have upgraded that now. I love my 2.4 Siboor kit. It went together with no issues. I also got the CNC parts and printed parts. I found nothing wrong with any printed parts. I love how complete the kit is and how easily it went together. The printed wiring diagram is very handy. My only minor complaint is that the cable tracks are a bit small for me. There is a lot of wires to stuff into them and it gets tight. I printed some larger ones, but it is not required as the kit ones do work, they are just real tight in some areas.
Great video, very detailed. I'm almost surprised siboor can turn a profit with all the high-quality parts they pack into this kit. Those hiwin rails alone would set me back a couple hundred dollars if I self-sourced them.
Unfortunately with the way my free time is right nowI won't be able to do a straight build. I'll have to do it in small sessions. But I'll de posting on Twitter as I make progress. I might do a progress video like when I get the frame and gantry set up. And likey another with the electronics. Hopefully I can do it sooner than later. It's rough having a kit calling me and not enough time to answer. I did get the stealthburner mostly built today though. That's a good start.
@@StackingLayers I use biqu h2v2s on ender 6. It is good extruder. But it clicks on retracts. Very annoying sound. Sherpa is very silent. And do not eat any additional space (on Voron 0 it is important)
Not too bad of a wait. I've had the same thing happened on several different packages where it changes to show shipped on the day I receive it or sometimes even like a week later. It's worse when I get notification delivered when it's still in transit. Someone get marked delivered when it scanned that customs.
Story of my life, day late and a dollar short. I may have got this kit if I didn’t just finish building a Formbot 2.4 pro 350 kit, I added CAN but now Formbot’s kit ships with CAN lol….
That's one advantage of me having to wait to save up, I got to see some cool improvements made and then the kit was how I wanted it when I could finally get it. I'm glad I resisted just throwing on the credit card.
@@StackingLayers I just ordered their Trident awd kit, I wanted my next build to run higher accels and I think this BOM gets me in that direction, my 2.4 350 and Micron 180 both use tap/boop so my accels are low, my next build I want to see how far I can push speeds and quality. Now just the wait for it to start shipping is going to kill me.
@@StackingLayers I also ordered a ERCF V2 from Siboor, I seen you asking about spool options due to low space behind the printer on nSiboors Dicsord. I too have little to no room behind my 2.4 350 so let me know what you come up with. Are you building or built Siboor kit? Also will we see a video on ercf2? I have 3 Bambulab printners with 6 ams units so this project for me is just something to keep me busy till my Trident kit comes....then after the Trident is build Im sure.
I haven't bought the ERCF2 yet. I'm still researching and planning... and saving. But if/when I get one I'll definitely try and do a video on it. I see it can be challenging thing to configure and tune. Sounds like fun! I am concerned about space though. I might have to make a wall mounted rack or something like that.
If those VFA's are only on the nevermore - I would just re-print it myself once you get the printer built. But if the other parts have those VFA's - I would not settle for them. That's not acceptable and I can promise you - nobody gets a PIF part from the Voron PIF program with VFA's.
It's worst on the nevermore, but noticable on some other parts in the right light. I'm not too bothered by it right now. I'll probably be printing some different stuff anyway once I get the machine going.

thanks for mentioning the crimps. Just checked mine and they're good. I wouldn't have even known what to look for

An AWD V2.4 would be a great kit!

Yeah I was thinking the cable channels looked a little small. I might get some larger ones. They really shouldn't be fill more than 75% of the way.
The best of luck with your new machine, Patrick. 1500 is a now brain
Cheers.

Bulk orders really help bring the cost per piece down, but I agree I feel it's a great deal.
Are you planning on doing the build for us to watch? I am interested in the CANBus part but I will watch it all.

does the cartographer support auto z-offset?
why did you go with the 2.4 rather then the trident?
Honestly no real solid reason. I mainly liked the fact that the bed is low and stationary. That being said. I want that new Trident kit now 😅
I order voron 0.2 from Sibor. Works well so far. Tho I replace original stealth burner with Sherpa mini.
I've been considering putting a BIQU H2 on this machine. It's light and fairly powerful.

How long did it take to receive the printer from time of ordering it?
It was about 3 weeks, which is typical for import to me.
Recently ordered one, how long did it take until the status changed from "Order Preparing"?
I'm embarrassed to say I never really checked 😅 I got it in about 3 weeks which is very typical for things I order from china.
@@StackingLayers Haha, its alright, thanks for the info!
@@StackingLayersJust to update, it arrived today, on the 19th, I ordered it on the 4th, it switched to shipped on the 19th also

I did the same thing for my Voron Trident. Siboor was a much better deal for the price.
