    An old friend on mine did this massive piece a wall near the train tracks, i remember that he told me he spent 150$ for all of those cans and 2 days later It got buffed, damn😂😂

    This topic is awesome and hits close. Couple years ago my son and his friends went out for the first time hitting the streets and let's just say they were still learning back then and thank God the buff man was working quickly that day I think it only rode for maybe 2 hours that morning before getting buffed 😂

      On the other hand I've gone under some bridges and some of my stuff from the 90s is still there like ancient ruins

    I remember back in the day, I was doing community service on a completely different charge. I was ordered to do a buff and as I'm buffing these tags and throws, I hear a recognizable voice say, "What an oxymoron!"
    Needless to say I still enjoy painting no matter what activities I am using the paint for.

      😆😆 Yeah, the irony of the graffiti artist having to buff out graffiti. Or the vandal buffing vandalism. Whichever you prefer, it's the same difference.

    In Tulsa there’s a writer named Bebop and if he gets buffed, he goes back over the buff with Rebop

    Where i live it appears that the good stuff gets buffed while the toy / kids shit is left alone.. Almost as if the city wants to portrait a specific picture about these "graffiti vandals".. TBF i don't wear that tinfoil hat deep enough to really believe this being the case, but that impression is still there for a reason... That being said, we all had at least 1 thing out there where we've secretly (or openly) been waiting for the buff to come lmao.

    I feel like it depends on ur city I’m from SanFrancisco they buff like crazy out here u do a tag it get buff the next day but I go back fourth from my moms to dads all the graffiti in Oakland be running for years cause they don’t got money to go around buffing everything but SF in the old school days to early 2000’s graffiti was booming watch piece by piece it’s a documentary on SF graffiti

    unrelated question but i live in a town not a city is it worth starting up? there arent a lot of walls to get up on so id be stuck with lamposts and stuff like that

    • @D--A--B--S
      @D--A--B--S Год назад

      Gotta answer that for yourself tbh. Regardless of what you have available to tag on you can write your name and get up on practically anything with the right tools. Assuming you aren't going to be finding legal spots in your area , is it worth it to you to start doing it? There's always gonna be some risk regardless of where you are if you aren't strictly hitting legal walls

    i think your view is way off on this one.... no graf is permanent, thats kind of the point. now dont get me wrong having a throwie up on a wall for 10yrs is a great feat. but the removal of a piece is just how it is... this is why i love stickers, no sticker is perm, but seeing one in the same place even 12months later is crazy.

    • @Theartistblock
      @Theartistblock  Год назад

      I mean obviously no graffiti is permanent, that goes without saying. However we're talking short term lifespan here not over years and years. 10 years in the game surly you've heard people complain about the buff at least once unless you live in some random area

    • @flipmostyles2583
      @flipmostyles2583 Год назад

      @@Theartistblockfor sure have heard people complain, but like i said i always just seen it as part of the game. its kinda like us VS the city, if it gets buffed like a day later... the city won that round, and like you said in the video it just forces you to find more unique areas or higher spots. get good or go home..

      @@Theartistblock so it's not toxic ? I love Graff. but I'm not going to lie and say it's a loving community. Or is it because I didn't watch the video and replyd to the title of the video ?

    • @Theartistblock
      @Theartistblock  Год назад

      @@liamhgd581 it's because you didn't watch the video. Graffiti is 100% a toxic community especially when talking to younger dudes and hardcore bombers who've nothing but ego. It's pretty chill if you're talking to older heads and bombers that don't let graffiti be their only identity but I think we'd agree when I say that's far and few lol

    This is where the lines blur between what is actually good graffiti and what is a good spot. Too many amazing pieces get buffed and the paintings in hard to buff spots tend to be below basic. However purely because of the locations these artists become "legends" in the eyes of the sociallydesperate. This is how the bad artists compete with the talented ones. Under this fake "lengend" status because of one particular spot he hit 20+ years ago. Full of nonsense and full of egotistical, barely talented artists.
