It's a shame about the shop that didn't honour their price - I would assume they just looked up the game when they went to clean it. You absolutely did the right thing by not giving them your business and walking out of there. At least now we all know not to shop at Middleton Pawn - not that I would, given I'm not in the US!

It's their fault for not putting any price stickers on their games. You handled it well. Most people would have had an argument.

Firstly, you did the right thing when it came to the pawn shop. I understand shops being cautious of scams, but doing what they did do you will only cost them more customers in the future. Secondly, I seriously have to say thank you to Caleb for such a cool series and Riff for the funny edits. People can say what they what, but Caleb and Riff really are a great team.

What they probably do is the classic "let me check" look it up behind doors, and then price it. Very suspicious they wouldn't let him film either.

You were right to walk out,and you handled it very well. My question is, don't they have cameras in the shop? Couldn't he of looked to see where the game was? Just seemed sketchy to me.
Also wouldn't he know what was behind the counter since there aren't many games and he stares at them the whole time.
I’m in the UK so the laws might be different but from what I know it’s actually illegal to look at cctv if you’re not certified.
Even if the cctv is for your shop, you’d still need someone to come and view it for you because otherwise if you take it to court, you could be accused of tampering with the evidence even by just watching it
They were aggressive towards you more than they should’ve before you had 2 feet in the door at that pawn shop.

Good on Caleb for blurring out and not giving info for the bad pawn shop, but seems like viewers have found it and are tanking the Google reviews anyways. I guess a valuable lesson for any business owner, be good to everyone you work with because you never know who they might be.

Picked up a PS3 Folklore game for 3$ at my local store. Comps are $71.00 for a complete copy. Also bought sealed Original Xbox games for a few bucks each as well. Bought also today a PS2 with games for $30CAD

That’s good that you didn’t give them your business man it’s their loss. At the end of the day they just keep piling up the inventory and not selling because of that kind of customer service.

I would have pulled the trigger on the Phantom Menace game for sure... I loved that game when it came out. Also, don't beat yourself up about that guy. He was in the wrong and should not have treated you that way no matter what.
I had a local store that used to do that shit. It would be priced on the floor then they would check it and try and reprice it higher if was going for more on ebay
Honestly phoenix is such a good guy, the cashier at the pawn was a jerk to him and he didn’t expose that pawn shop and tell others not to shop there nor did he talk badly about the cashier like others do

yesss this series is awesome. I love the ps1 and ps2. they had such an incredible library of games and I was hoping to see a series like this come out. I absolutely love the ps2 and I choose it ovwr ps1 or ps2. spent hours upon hours playing the ps2 plus I have a buddy who lives the ps1 a lot so we exchange jokes on how 1 is better then the other and have a great time with it.. Love the series👌
Awesome video. Admire you walking away after the price change. While PS2 is probably my favorite console of all time, PS1 feels a little more nostalgic and pulls at my heartstrings the most. First console I ever had at home. I still remember the day we got ours in crazy detail.

That's why i would go to Cartridges, i recently bought 13 games and a controller for the PS2 and that includes Smackdown SYM and the SVR games.

I know this is old but I think you definitely handled that pawn shop situation as best as you could. They were already rude to you two seconds into stepping in with the "hey dude no recording". I'd bet a million dollars they looked up the price of the game hoping you wouldn't catch them while buffing it up for you to seem sly. Either way, I'm dodging that place!

PS1 are just not as available as they used to be. You'd probably have an easier time attempting this at a convention.
MDK is a great shooter with a sense of humor. I would have grabbed that from Game King.
Look for either of the gundam battle assault games. They were amazing ps1 fighters. I have fond memories of unlocking all the secret characters on that.

What was really not a good start was before they falsy accused him they made him turn his camera off making it look even more shady they legit eliminated any way for him to prove his innocence and decided to just right off the bat accuse him of something they couldn't prove
@@Assassin-ys5vw I agree. But they have their own cameras, I’m sure. I wish he would have challenged them but in reality, it’s not worth it. I just wouldn’t do business there. I recently had a pawn shop do something similar to me. All games were marked $5 in a box at the register and when I grabbed one and went to pay they told me $28 and argued with me. I left.

If pawn shops ever treat you badly, you know you are not to do business with them again. Thing is, while a large inventory can be amazing. I usually am cautious about it because they can also mean their pricing is terrible.

You did the right thing to walk away. I Did the same thing at the worst game store in Michigan. Literally makes you sign a form to walk in saying you can’t review them with bad reviews online. Also they take a copy of your license in order to go in. On top of that any game you select off shelves they change the price at the counter after looking it up. New Super Gametime in Southgate MI.

I've been to a pawn shop selling Pokemon FireRed for $50, but when I brought it up to the cashier. They wanted to charge me $250 for it, I declined it and they started screaming at me for wasting their time

Tbh you gotta get the small soldiers game. That game is the only reason I wanna fix/buy My old/new playstation. You got syphon filter which is also one of the games I always went back to. But my 5 favorite games were small soldiers, toy story 2, medi evil, syphon filter and the lost world Jurassic Park game. Definitely recommend all those but I know some might be 15-25 dollars. Wish you the best also hope you get to play all of them.

I would not get the KH Dimond select figures. They make Sora look derpy. I recommend the Play Arts Kai and they kind of hard to get.
