Ron, I saw you uploaded a new video and couldn't press the mouse fast enough to get here.
Is very nice to see yours videos.
Great job and restauration.
I learn a lot seeing yours videos.
Congratulations - São Paulo- Brazil
Thank you Ron, love your videos, rather watch you than the BBC any day!
I can not thank You enough for still making and uploading all those awsome videos Ron!
I beleave this was one of the best condition radios I have see you restore.
I just LOVE your vids, Ron. It brings me back to my youth.. I used to collect radios, many danish produced radios like B&o and TO-R.. from the 40´s. In our neighbourhood there was a old guy, who had a workshop in his backyard. He repaired all these old things- the same way like you. He knew excactly where to search for the damage, and laughed when he found it. Then- new wires, components, tubes ..etc-etc... Next day I could pick up my radio... Sadly, I had to sell most of them as I moved out from my parents....( saved a couple of them ) .. sad story.........
Still- having good memories and a couple of my radios ....
Wow Ron made another old radio repair video! He knows what to do to fix it and not mess around , like replacing all the caps.Quite a few RUclips radio repair guys
could never post a single video to make it look pretty again in less than a hour video.😁📻👍🏻👍🏻
Lovely to see a new video. I hope your computer issues are soon resolved.
I have been watching your Restoration Videos on antique radios. Great Job, Keep it up.
Hey, Ron! I was getting a little worried. Glad to see you post again.
Me to
I am very impressed with you, because you can make or produce yourself a triode tube and another electronic tube.
I was going to go to bed, but glad to see a video from you pop up!
I really love that ancient quarter inch screwdriver!
Over 50 years old! (like me!)
Very enjoyable watch, I never fail to be impressed by how simple radios gave the people access to the world.......Great stuff!!
glad to see you back,,,great job
Nothing warms the heart of a techie more than to see wire cutters clicking and electronics work happening. Click, Snip, Snip, Solder, Solder. Video that warms our hearts. Keep up the good work. Enjoy your little side stories as you progress through the refurbishment. E.g the old plugs sell on Ebay.. Bravo
The cat did a quick fly by on the recap inspection. Another good one, Ron...
Can you do a video of fixing your computer once your parts come in?
I like the way you just get on with replacing the caps and then stain and clear coat the case, Ron. ..a very good looking , collectible radio.
Was going to sleep soon not anymore glad your back
Nice little set and, as usual another enjoyable and informative episode. Thank you.
I just discovered your channel, and already I love your humor, your work, and your choice of projects to show us. Thank you so much for your efforts.
Looking at the wiring in that little radio made me think that technology never really changes. The way they wired that thing is a perfect metaphor for modern computer software. As they say, "If it does the job before you get fired, it's a good design."
Best wishes from Wisconsin!
I have been doing this as a hobby (old radio restoration) for about 40 years now. Always something new learned from watching your videos. Thank You !!
Nice to see you back!
So happy to see you back. I learn so much from you. You're the best. Love the kitty, too!
Glad to see you're back!
Thank you for making these videos
A master class lesson from a master tech. You probably forgotten more than most of will ever know. Thank you.
Nice work, I just finished my Zenith H500, I was astounded with how good it sounds.
I use to repair old radios too it was fun to revive old stuff im also Called the speaker doctor did reconeing of speakers and even made my own coils to drive them if the coils where burnt i would use a mold to hold the paper and coiling wires and wind this wile the cylinder is on the mold ,i use ceran wrap for seperation of the mold from the cylinder it will just slide off the mold and id have a perfect 1 inch coil or what ever the coil size is, takes a bit of work, most of the parts in a speaker are made on some kind of mold even the cone they are pressed ,i can also make a speaker out of some coil wire a magnet and paper i can make a working speaker , i like what i see in your videos your very smart with electronics ,my father was into ameture radio i learnt a lot from him about electronics and went to the ham fairs some times id even score some thing cool, one time i scored the first solid state portabul radio it had a nice gold handle , i payed three dollars for it around and sold it for 800 dollars tiny radio , i have a very cool tube tester, made in new york city it a little grey suit case and inside is a very impressive tube tester if your interested in this tell me who s what could happen it s very cool but i imagine u already have one good job on that .
Thanks for your videos. I always learn from them. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Miss Kitty is beautiful!

This is a wonderful surprise ...
Good to see your still working
Thanks for another great video, Ron! WD2LGB
Enjoyed the video and glad you got a (CAT SCAN) in the process!
The metal fixing screws under the bottom of the cabinet are electrically connected to a maybe hot chassis! And they are easy to grab while moving a plugged in radio. I bet they were originally covered by insulating plugs that have now disappeared?
Nicely done ! Love to see your radio collection .
Just found this channel and am much impressed (and subscribed). Seeing the old stuff brings back a lot of memories.
I would love to repair old radios with my grandpa.

Used to get that "wire cover" called spagetty. Various colours. And added to the safety of tube sets. Good to see a clear window. Most I see are discoloured from the dial lamp.
I would love to see a video of your radio collection :-)
What a sweet little radio! Don't blame ya for putting that in your collection! Nice!
Thank you very much for yet another excellent upload. I learn a great deal from your videos. Keep it coming!👍
Beautiful radio and restoration!
I have an old oval philco fridge that has the potato storage bin in the bottom, the thing still runs. Never had a colder beer, lol
if your computer has problems, test it for the corona-virus, it's everywhere. :/ nice radio info. thanks.
Yea, I was surfing some chinese websites! Could have caught it! I have the computer sequestered right now just in case! I don't want to catch it myself off the computer!

What a cool little radio! It looks beautiful and sounds good!
@glasslinger Thank you for educating and entertaining me at my time of quarantine.
Great restoration. I'd love to get my hands on a cute antique radio like this one. Possibly some day.
Fantastic work Glasslinger. I love your little sinister laugh you did as you were screwing the back cover back on. Makes me laugh every time you do it. I really like your valve making videos. Just fascinating watching you work.
I'm a fan of your channel.
Wow nice job
You do a first class job on this radio making it look like it's just out of the factory!Regards Colin
CRC does make a contact cleaner too. I have a similar model, but mine has push buttons at the top with the little labels to set various stations. Nice job on the cabinet.
Hi Ron, can you show us your radio collection?
Borland C++ compiler? Thats a throwback to the good old days.
I would love to see a video of your radio collection
Fun to watch, kept checking back, ,glad you posted another video.!
Good To See Your Back Ron , Lovely Little Radio Set And Very Nice Work
Well Done Earthling
I usually replace the dial window if they're bad. It's extremely easy using clear hobby plastic. I trace the opening in the wood onto a piece of masonite, cut it out and save both pieces. I cover the opening in the masonite with the hobby plastic and put in the toaster oven at 275 degrees. As soon as starts melting, I place the cutout piece of masonite and press it gently down. Works great with perfect clarity
Excelente trabajo!! Gracias!!
Hello. You are an inspiration to me. But, unfortunatelly, you are on the other side of the world.
Being stuck in the house for two years, it took a tool on me.
So i started looking for old radios online 😂😂😂😂
i always likes video!!! getting very good knowledge from you
Good job, hope you get your computer working again. Please show us what you had to do to it.
Nice one Ron 👍👍👍
wellcome back,Ron
Love it, "That's bad throw it away" " who would want that power plug"
I just plugged in my deceased fathers solder thing, with a brand new tip, its a "win"- the hardware guy gave me 2 tips -this afternoon for about ten bucks-but it is a mini version of the original, it seemed to get hot about 165 and rising, when I pulled the plug, I think he got it in late or middle 60's. Now I learn to sold-er.'
your vidios r very intresting l like it.
Great one Ron, sweet little radio. Good to see the Cat Controller!
yes.. that is a nice radio
Love your vídeos! Thanks for show
That's a really cute radio. It would be nice to have something like that which is both FM and AM.
Good cameo from The Supervisor.
Glad you put up another video! 😊😊😊
I think our cats are kindred spirits, my cat will lock on to a keyboard like a sidewinder from clear across the room. Bloddy feline enabled Sticky Keys in windows one day without me realizing it. That was a fun time figuring out that one... 😜
If you like smart kitties, watch "The Lucky Ferals" channel. They love computers and one of them has her own tablet. One day they even managed to pair the tablet to the tv to watch their favorite video on the big screen. ;)
Wow--nice old floppy disks !
SUPER GRANDMA.
lover.....from Indonesia
Nice job on the cabinet!
