What an incredible game by Noah. Even though he had time advantage, holding your own against hikaru all the way to endgame is seriously, seriously impressive.
I'm absolutely blown away by that, what a performance.
I’ve been watching all (I think) the Coffee Chess/Hikaru videos on both channels and unless I’m mistaken, no one else has taken Hikaru that deep. Unreal. Seems like a humble kid too. I’m a fan now
@@scottsweet13 that sounds so wrong
I really thought he was gonna draw it. He was right there. End of the day it really didn’t even come down to chess knowledge, so much as raw experience and knowing how to play the clock.
Noa: you‘re great!!! Holding your ground! ☺️
Very impressed by Noah. His game has been steadily improving. Thanks again for doing these collabs with the Coffee Chess crew, Hikaru!
Damn that first guy Noah played insanely well. They never said what his rating is, but from the way he gained advantage and kept it most of the game, plus the way he managed not to make any real blunders until he got low on time in the end game, I'd say he could easily be a GM one day if he keeps at it. Vary impressive stuff, I wish he'd been given a chance to play white in this video.
Noah is a Masters. I think his rating is 2300
He's a fide master
Freakaru losekamura beats hundreds of better rated players than Noah Everyday... He ended collapsing like any other player against Hikaru.
You know you’ve lost when Hikaru’s up on time with less than a minute left 😢
1:09 Hikaru says “it’s pretty balanced” and the eval bar is 0.00
the bar heard him and fixed itself amazing
@@SirPraiseSun 😂😂😂
Eval Bar: Small advantage on black
Hikaru: (It's) Pretty Balanced
Eval Bar: It's Balanced
The has trauma from that time it heard Hikaru say: "C'mon, pick up the depth..."
@@intenseavarice34 It cried itself to sleep at night
The 1st kid is actually super good wrf
dry position. he knows his theory
First game was actually pretty decent! Impressive!
Novice Noah showed he is not really a novice. Thank you GM Hikaru for doing this cross-overs with Coffee Chess as they are both instructional and entertaining.
Hikaru gave an angry head shake against Noah. That’s some awesome stuff right there. First head shake we’ve seen since he’s been sitting down with coffee chess.
I’ve been watching most (if not all) the Coffee Chess/Hikaru videos on both channels and unless I’m mistaken, no one else has taken Hikaru that deep. Unreal. He seems like a humble kid too. I’m a fan now
Boston Mike: "Well then do the bongcloud again."
Hikaru: *Visible and audible disappointment*
Hey Hikaru, Brooklyn Dave here. Yeah that seems to be the best game. Noah would be my bet as the first one of us to beat you. Kid has talent 👏
Missed opportunity to put the nostalgic Bongcloud speedrun intro
That guy claiming he just needs another chance at 8:36 would be me.
Wow, Noah played incredibly well! That's probably the 2nd or 3rd best game by someone in the Coffee Chess crew against Hikaru!
the "clownpusher" is striking back!
I love seeing this side of Hikaru!! These are so much fun to watch :)
That was a GREAT first game !! The young man in the first one stayed so calm.
I love that these are some of the highest viewed videos. It means Hikaru will keep coming back every so often.
@gmhikaru - I think it’s incredibly humble of you to play matches with coffee chess and I find these games to be very entertaining!
Thanks to you, you are like Michael Jordan playing basketball in the street
Noah is a real chess genious.
6:27 Hikaru helping him fix the chess pieces. Such a nice guy.😂
Noah deserves a medal, outstanding!
The best comment of the video was 6:10 “I think he knows how to mate with a king and a pawn “ 😆
When I watch this I expect to hear an analysis at the end cause of coffee chess. Lol
Real life: Grand Master Hikaru showing a lower rated player respect...
Online: Getting trash talked in the comments because they're rated 100 points more than you...
Thanks. These videos make chess so accessible.
Been waiting for Hikaru's new video for 19minutes.... Finally!!
4:40 Hikaru shakes his head as if he made a mistake, but it's one of the many moves that the engine gives 0.0 in eval for (0.0 has been the eval for the last 5 moves already)
Noah played amazing
Loving these videos!!
Noah! Be proud, excellent game from the youngster.
I’m glad to see Boston mike getting love out here
Noah you almost had a Draw there! Good game! The challenge is not even to win against Nakarum but to draw lol As always he's being a perfect gentlemen!
@@Jose.AFT.Saddul Hikaru had an extra pawn with him... of course he had enough to win the game
@@Nortsa oh sorry
It was a draw - ran out of time but Hikaru had insufficient material to checkmate
@@JohnnyDoeDoeDoe I made the same mistake
Hikaru is white.
Noah was black
Hikaru still has a pawn which is enough material to win
@@Jose.AFT.Saddul Ah! Thanks for explaining, didn't catch that
Proud of Noah. Solid play.
Walking Chess Engine
Hikaru and boston mike have funniest banter, great game from Noah !!
I love this lil extra dose of coffee chess
love this channel colab
PROPS TO THAT KID
This appeared in my notifications right after I took a bong rip
man is like a fuckin machine. says pretty balanced at 1:02 and stockfish takes a few seconds to calculate
I could have said “looks balanced” too. Not that impressive
@@bluedonkey180 WOW, you're so cool and smart.
@@bluedonkey180 would’ve looked a lot cooler and smarter if you didn’t type this shit lmao
@@DakHamer I dont get why the sarcasm he is right the position was easy to read the original comment makes no sense how was it impressive
@@Ahmed.4411 this is how opinions work right? I might be a beginner player and impressed by how quickly he can tell the position is balanced before stockfish can calculate it
Holy shit noah
my guy Mike not on his game today. Hung 3 pieces one game :,(
Yeah he is just get confuse watched many game before I think
The first game was the highlight here. Not Mike's match.
Good analysis, Data.
Is your name German?
bloody hell Noah went next level
Well played Noah
Novice Noah, more like Prodigy Noah!! That guy is really insane!!
Let’s gooo! I love these episodes
Damn, Noah is goooooood.
Great content
Where can I watch the entire day at the coffee chess club?
Should've done the bongcloud intro for this video lol
Holy shit that's like the closest game.
Novice Noah!
Mike, put down the bong.
Mike is too funny 🤣
Where can I order a copy of Don't Be a Schmuck?
DayuM, the first player Noah is a BEAST!! Damn impressive game. 💪🏼👏👏👏
He's a 2300 rated Fide master I think
The Bongcloud master
the inevitable "mike"s at the end
Mike the Boston Blunder
I love Boston Mike!!!
7:31 such a cute young girl in the shot
Mike the man
I'm here because I love boston mike
Hikaru playing the Vienna for levy
At least someone managed to draw against hikaru.
boston mike is a legend
That first guy is solid.
Noah's game was pretty good!
6:25 if I could make my queen say this I’d die a happy man.
The boy was amazing player
where do you play?
how am i a fan of Hikaru and wanting him to lose xD. The first match was intense af
Wow NOAH wtf. Good shit bro.
Is that first opening called the “Metsys Nodnol”?
Seeing as when you are with the coffee chess crew you are playing chess players but probably not players that you would typically play with do you find yourself going off book moves quicker or more often then usual? Does that make playing the games more of a challenge?
It's basically him speedrunning. He knows when a bad move happens in the opening and how to punish it. It is hard for us.
that intro tho lmao
damn good game kiddo
why is the queen on the "e" tile? on their board?
I see in the eyes on hikaru he want when game goes to move fast
I wish he would play 5 minutes, because its not like they are going to win anyway, and Hikaru can actually do some crazy tricks and traps without the time crunch.
what's the first guy rating? he played really well wow
👌🏾💯 Hikaru Nakamura The Great!
That was a lot of minor pieces for the rook.
Oh no, Never ask for hikaru bongcloud, it may be a meme opening but hikaru had a whole series dedicated to this opening so it might as well be a legit opening for him.
Where do you meet these guys?! I want to watch a game live so bad!
Coffeechess is somewhere in California. The club got death threats sadly so they cannot disclose their location
@@ym276 Sad. I'll probably never be able to play with them then! :(
4:42 Hikaru's face at this desperately unsound sacrifice.
I love Noah. He's the smartest and most chill of anybody in his age group at Coffee Chess and has improved tremendously over the last year in particular.
Boston Mike is a Legend.
If you haven't already, go subscribe to coffee chess. Daily uploads at 9 am Eastern.
it's not a sac, hikaru just blundered a pawn and noah took it
4:10 I'd sack the Knight - g4 forks Hikaru's K & Q and that's like a win for the novice
You mean Ng4? White has a pawn on h3.
8:48 gg
Mike needs to play a solid gambit to counter this very strong opening by a super GM. Botez gambit is proven to be the best.
Boston Mike was too silent this round
Remember the old days?
YEP Bong YEP
Y’all see Larry Fitzgerald started a chess club on the Arizona Cardinals? 🧠💪
What’s mikes elo?
That first kid did really well, it is a shame the time pressure got him because he was playing at least even up for most of the game.
how do these guys play so fast?
