Increasingly, Americans have the attention span of a goldfish and just as little knowledge of history, and hilariously and horribly the whole world is dragged along by this superpowered goldfish. Well, it's crazy that we're choosing to elect men in their 70s to the presidency. What for? Because they're "seasoned" and learned? That's ridiculous, there are plenty of those kinds of people in their 40s and 50s. Is it, perhaps, that men that old have had decades to build enough influence to finally get that kind of support? Maybe. The downsides of electing a geriatric president outweigh the benefits IMHO. Potential health issues, declining mental ability, etc. I just believe that the choices we have been given, especially in the past 2 cycles, have been horrible. If the people absolutely must stay with a 2 party system, then those parties absolutely *must* give us better candidates to choose from. Nobody in their right mind can tell me that Donald Trump and Joe Biden and the best politicians and statesmen this country has to offer. The *have* to be better leaders than this somewhere in this vast country. Less divisive leaders who can bring the country together in these trying times, instead of further driving a wedge down the middle of us. We must find that common ground to unite us if we are to make any kind of real progress. Democrats: the Republicans are not going away. Republicans: Democrats aren't going anywhere. You absolutely must learn to live with each other or the only thing that will continue to get done is nothing at all. So screw these old men. Nothing personal, but it's time for someone fresh and new to lead us into the future. And I'm not saying let 20 year old kids take over Washington, I'm just saying... you know, an intelligent, well connected and charismatic 48-58 year old man or woman should be ideal for either party. In a perfect world the party wouldn't matter. We'd just elect people based on their public record and campaign. Let's start with the small stuff first though. Like not electing an ancient executive. And enacting term limits for Congress. It will add up eventually.
@@jokerzwild00 hmmm, well, I just turned 72 and though I’d rather not be “screwed” there are a number of things which affect all of us. 1. We need the Holy Spirit to pierce our hearts, minds, and souls. 2. We need to fall on our knees, pleading for mercy, forgiveness, and repent of our evil ways - turning back to God through Jesus Christ, getting rid of our perverted, decadent, and compromised existence and coming to terms with what is right and good vs evil and darkness. I grew up in the 50’s and 60’s - my foster family would never vote for anybody who wasn’t a democrat and held that belief their entire lives (I’m a conservative, btw). But for anybody to believe Hillary or Joe B. was best for this country certainly blows my mind. I am not in the MAGA cult although I would like to see America be a shining light to the world. I no longer say “God bless America” - why should He? Those three words illustrate how disconnected we are - I am ashamed of what we have become - a country of over-emotional, spoiled, and a woke society who feels entitled to everything - who believe free speech is only a right as long as your views parallel theirs, and an all-inclusive acceptance for re-writing laws, history, and the attempt to establish a new paradigm through “woke-ism”. No longer does “love thy neighbor” hold value. Speaking of neighbors, why haven’t we stepped up for our neighbors in this hemisphere? You and I both know the answer to that and we should be ashamed. Eisenhower sounded the alarm on the rapid development of the deep state (Nixon was his protege). (Sorry, I digress). Whom would you prefer to see at 1600 Penn - Josh Hawley (age 44)? Tom Cotton (46)? Kristi Noem (52)? Sarah Huckabee-Sanders (41)? Majorie Taylor Green (49)? Elise Stefanik (39)? Rashida Talib (47)? Ilhan Omar (41)? Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (34)? Maxwell Frost (27)? Taylor Swift (34)? Kanye West (46)? Kim Kardashian (43)? Who would be the best to lead this country out of the depths and stench it has created? My apologies but I forgot the former mayor from Chicago - “beetlejuice”. I would be surprised if the 2024 election will be held but if it is, the “fix” is already in. Judgement will be upon us soon - possibly as early as April but definitely the summer and fall leading up to the election if we make it that far. Most likely we will be living under martial law - the economy will have tanked, blockchain interruptions, food scarcity, gas rationing/scarcity, roving blackouts, the military controlling the infrastructure (there goes the internet and mobile access/coverage - I’ll feel as though I’m back in another third-world hole but at least I’ve operated under those extremes in my career and by God’s grace my family and friends will survive). May I recommend RUclips viewing of John MacArthur (When God Abandons a Nation), Brandon Holthaus, Jack Hibbs, Amir Tsarfati, Voddie Bacham, Paul Washer, Jonathan Cahn, Mark Biltz, and Janie DuVall’s channel where her guests outline what lies ahead. And today - Feb. 25 - go to First Baptist Dallas and watch Robert Jeffress’ sermon for direction, peace, and comfort. I will agree with you that some of the old guard needs to be changed - Nadler, Schumer, McConnell (this is a start but again, it is over as we are “as in the days of Noah” and living as those in Sodom & Gomorrah- Judgement is upon us!
@wild00 Unfortunately, it all boils down to Politics. Age-aside the ones who are given exposure and support by the parties are those that the party side with. Which is why there are some decent to great candidates out there but because they aren't playing politics with the party leaders, they aren't given as much attention. Donald Trump is a bit of a different story because he comes with a lot of drama and baggage that the media can't help but salivate on everything he does. His support is solid at best but dwindling at worst. He's not gaining much ground but he does have the support of key party officials because they want to keep their job, not because they whole-heartedly support him.

He is so precise in his knowledge of the world. The USA foreign policy planners needed to remember interviews like this. Look where Russia under Putin is now. Look where China is now and its people moving around the world. The USA recognized this.
Nixon was a product of the Cold War. The Russia of today is different. It has a different power than before. The Iron Curtain is no longer. THE People's Republic of China is more important to world trade. They have more population than Russia and now less than India. China has put more emphasis on world trade.

Watergate is a very interesting deep dive. The Father of a friend very high up in one of the political parties told me Watergate was about the JFK Assassination and keeping a lid on the truth. Some of the perps were in JFK's own Party, one was not but went on to become President of the United States itself. Although Nixon was not a conspirator or participant in the Assassination, he had the inside savy and knowledge and could name names. In fact. Nixon was in Dallas at the time of the Assassination. He denied it for years but eventually it was revealed he had attended a Pepsi board meeting in Dallas during that time period. I believe that during his stay there he may have made overtures in an effort to stop it but was unsuccessful. The wheels were too far in motion. The Watergate safe contained photos which incriminated some that were involved. Nixon felt that as we were trying to win the Cold War, if the truth got out that our own CIA and their confederates had killed a U.S. President, it would irreversibly damage our credibility worldwide and perhaps even cause us the loss of allies in the Cold War. Hunt was blackmailing Nixon over it. Hunt's wife Dorothy went down in a plane crash with a suitcase full of cash. An on site supervisor in Dealey Plaza who went on to become President, according to visitors logs, visited the White House 180 times during Watergate. In retrospect, I think Nixon would have been better off to let the truth get out. But even then he might have been assassinated himself. And the CIA would have controlled the narrative rather quickly. Nixon would be just another name on the hit list. JFK, RFK, MLK, and then RMN. I think he knew that.

He was definitely. Maybe only Iranians could say perfectly that who is the best USA president in the aspect of foreign policy. I’m replying from Iran. Everyone here loves Nixon and praises his friendship with the Shah.
I find it ironic that current commentators can’t see the dissolution of The US 🇺🇸 as we speak and Nixon didn’t see that coming. Russia 🇷🇺 is only a threat now because your 🇺🇸 elites created that scenario by aggressively pursuing the demise of the Russian Federation.
@benyaminpourmohamad4370 Nixon understood the balance necessary to keep peace. The war between Russia and Ukraine for example is a failure to maintain the balance between the East and West. Diplomacy and empathy are lost arts in the US government.

Nixon is often viewed by historians who study US presidents as an example of a very capable leader with very few moral qualms about using the ends to justify the means. That has made him do truly evil things. I think the worst thing he ever did was to purposely prolong the Vietnam War in order to use it politically to win the presidency, which he succeeded in.
Incredible foresight from an incredible man, regardless of his rap sheet. I’m British, but I sorely miss the statesmen of his era in both the US and here. Never has the free world needed their wisdom and their mindset more than it does now.

This guy lied to the American public and to the world in order to get the US in an atrocious and failed war in Vietnam, in which he used biological warfare, and carpet bomb Cambodia. He also got impeached for spying on the opposition through the state apparatus, he pegged all international trade to the US dollar, which has tied many poor countries in a forever losing trade war, and he created the War on Drugs, which has killed and jailed dozens of millions of people n his country and across the world while destabilizing entire regions and communities. This interview took place in 1992. He is 79 years old at this point.
Just compare Nixon with Joe Biden at age 79. Dispiriting to say the least. 🇺🇸

Although I was never a fan of nixon, his insight here demonstrates very clearly why he very much deserved to be president. His warning came decades in advance.
He's clearly intelligent, and can express coherent thoughts eloquently. Unlike the insult spitting buffoon Trump.
Eisenhower's warning about the government falling under the control of the military industrial complex and a few Oil Men preceded that of his V.P.

Wow! I miss having our leaders speak so eloquently like this. No bullshit. I didn't realize how smart this guy was. Great video!
Smart and profoundly corrupt.
He was knew about the Juws
@@RossklesWatergate was laughable compared to crossFireHurricane
@@matthewmosier8439 Are you being serious? Trump officials had direct contact with Russian intelligence and you think the over-zealous investigation into that was worse than Watergate?? You people are next level delusional jeez.
Eloquent?
Nixon's disciple Roger Stone is behind Trump's despotism in America.
Nixon was absolutely right here!
Ninon is wrong... the ones who start war all over the world is the united state... all of it for profit...
He wanted give everyone a guaranteed income and in the Nixon tapes that he'd end th in 1969 Kussnger talked him out of it
@johninman7545 the synagogue of Satan conversion with Billy Graham are more critical than anything that's ever happened with any president
This is AI generated, don't be fooled
Nixon isn’t right and communist parties exist in every country on the planet and there are hundreds of millions of us communists like myself in the world rn in 2024. We demand a better system where the people own the business and government therefore making a democratic system. I’m proud to say I’m part of my local communist party here
These Nixon clips we're seeing lately are blowing my mind.
The dude was a freaking genius.
He wasn't a genius, it only seems that way when compared to today's politicians.
@@christiandaniel9708 exactly that.
@@christiandaniel9708 You wrong for that lmao 😂🩵🙇
Yes he was extremely intelligent. Got caught in a stupid mistake.
Watergate seems rather modest these days.
It's a shame Nix had to go out that way.😢
Incredible foresight from an incredible man, regardless of his rap sheet. I’m British, but I sorely miss the statesmen of his era in both the US and here. Never has the free world needed their wisdom and their mindset more than it does now.
The same people that consider Nixon a great elder statesman and former leader, also think Trump a great President. While
Trump has admired openly dictators like duterte in Philippines , Putin in Russia and Chinas President Xi .😂
But they did serve during an important time they would probably just say " we are fuxked " if we just brought them back here and now, but if they also served during the fall of the soviet union, or atleast someone as intellectually capable ( Not Clinton not HW Bush ) then we would be fine especially with MLK and other civil rights activists doing 30 + years of work
This guy lied to the American public and to the world in order to get the US in an atrocious and failed war in Vietnam, in which he used biological warfare, and carpet bomb Cambodia. Stop romanticizing the past and dead people.
Amen brother, amen. FINALLY when someone talks about how good it was in the 'old days' there is some truth to it. We need more statesmen from the old days... Reagan anyone? He had always been my favorite President.
"rap" sheet.
Say what you want about Nixon, he was absolutely one of the most intelligent presidents of all time with tremendous foresight. He called that one perfectly.
Communism was defeated,… Vietnam, yeah right !
He totally was, and I say that as a lifelong Democrat. Nixon's problems were personal hubris and pathological paranoia. I'd much rather have him running as a Republican this year than Trump, by a light-year.
He was a helluva lot better than LBJ, the worst president of all time. Yes, even worse than the last 3.
Yea. he got a bad rap in history. Was not a bad president at all. He just got caught where other Presidents haven't. Plus now, Democrats have a free reign since the FBI, CIA and media would cover anything nefarious up.
I miss impartial news organizations.
@@deadlyoneable I don't think LBJ was the worst.
Id say Andrew Jackson was
But I do agree LBJ was terrible
Even though I'm a Democrat I fucking hate what LBJ did
WOW!!! I’ve learned more about this man in the last week than I’ve learned in last 50 years.
"American's Democracy"is bad joke
One of America’s totally underrated presidents, very smart man
He sold us out to China. Opened the door for communism to take over the US, which it has.
Lol jesus christ....
I completely agree
Looks like an old bulldog though
@@BlackScreen_Singerhe was in his late seventies or early eighties here in the 1990s. He passed away in 1994 at 81 and the USSR collapsed in 1991 so this was between then.
I remember I was. In Puerto Rico visiting family as a kid when Nixon resigned. For the next decade his name was ran through the mud. Watching him now really shows how insightful and forward thing he really was.
Same here. Honestly didn’t look beyond his disgraced Presidency before seeing these clips. He had his flaws (like most of us) but what an extremely knowledgeable and intelligent mind.
the same media machine that destroys and lies today.
i wonder which 6 companies own the corporate media structure.
i wonder who their CEOs are, and what their vision for the future is …
This is why as a black man in my 60s he was and still is my favorite President!!!
@@johnnymcafee01
What did Nixon ever do for you black people, aside from inviting Sammy Davis, Jr, to visit him at the White House?
Both things can be simultaneously true. I hate him precisely because he was intelligent, but working against people like me for his own gain. Intelligent people who are working against your interests are the second worst kind of enemy you can have, short of a fool who has little regard for the destruction they cause in their shortsightedness and impulsiveness (like Trump).
Nixon wasn’t perfect, but he was a hell of a lot better than what passes for “presidential” today. Super intelligent man who loved America.
His pragmatism should be the focal point. Let’s leave the perfection to God and religion.
He and Mccain were the last Republicans With a Brain and now we have Trump and MTG
Haven't seen a US President speak so well; he really knew his stuff.
Agree, the last extremely bright GOP president we’ve had imo
I think pure strategically Nixon was the best
JFK was better as a speaker. JFK was also a good strategic thinker but not as accurate as President Nixon.
Well, admittedly, the bar is currently quite low and has been for a while😂😂😂
@@andyt2456porque????Reagan....we had Reagan😂
Only John F. Kennedy could have beaten this gentleman to become President. He made a mistake while in office and paid a heavy price for his misdeed but he was very smart and respected around the world. These comments are certainly very interesting, aren't they?
Nixon really wasn’t even all that corrupt compared to others. If we had as much insight then as we do today, Nixon never would’ve been viewed as poorly as he was. I’d argue our current administration is much more corrupt than he ever was
@@bigpapi6688 I would respect your comment more if you would have suggested the 'previous' administration was politically corrupt and the truth has been coming out for years but part of the citizens base choose not to listen to what is reality.
Nixon took the dollar off the gold standard and it's been a fiat currency ever since. Including all currencies tied to the dollar.
Kennedy he was killed cause actually wanted wipe America's debt out it would have worked.
Kennedy as beloved as he was was dirty. He won my a narrow margine that mostly likely was influenced by buying his vote compliments of the mob.
Fun fact, Kennedy and Nixon were friends for many years.
Better understanding of today's events than most current analysts.
all the categories and concepts he uses have shown their weakness to explain the world as it is nowadays: the American "freedom", the caricatural thinking in terms of "communism", "despotism" and "democracy"
And the definition of Russian imperialism without mentioning other major imperialism of the 20th century (namely France, US and UK)
I don't think he's wrong that imperialism is a larger part of Russian identity. The other powers you named have felt the cognitive dissonance of espousing values of freedom and incongruous behavior. Russia never has. It's been one tyrannical system after another.
@@jayabee if by "cognitive dissonance" you mean incoherence between values and actions, i'd rather call it propaganda. All imperialist states developp a moral justification to their action, manufacturing consent of a large part of the people. Colonialist imperialism didn't have any problems with aknowledging invading and stealing other countries, remember it was "the white man's burden". Moreover i'd argue that Russia is "less or more imperialist" (if that makes any sense) or authoritarian than any mentioned countries
We will never have Leadership like him any more or any place in the world
