My grandmother just died at the age of 82. The last few weeks of her life i spent a lot of hours beside her side. The last day of her life she wasn't able to respond anymore, she was to weak. When I arrived at her house (my family was already there) i took her hand and i told her that i was here, that we (my family) were here and that is was oke, that she could find her rest. She died very peacefully that evening. I'm very grateful to have known her and to have inhereted some of her characteristics. At night when i can't sleep i think of her putting her hand om my shoulder and i fall asleep. Grandmother i love you!

This came out some months after, my grandmother passed. I remember talking to her, about her being able to attend my graduation in the future. This was on new years. She said she would be there regardless. This song speaks to me, so damn much. Love and respect.
Helen (his grandma) is still alive and well. She’s turning 103 in July. She’s gone through 2 world wars. If she can go through that, we can get through isolation. Stay home and keep your grandparents safe. Edit: Back to give my thoughts after reading all those replies - She turned 103 on July 6th, yes she was born nearing the end of WWI, she still had to suffer post war with so much depression from others around her, and can you all stop arguing in this comment section about the stupidest stuff

My grandmother passed away last night. I've spent the entire day, saying the last goodbye with my family. This is the first thing popping up on my RUclips when I now finally laying in bed after a very emotional day. Macklemore, this song alone made up memories from my entire life I had with my grandmother. You have been my favourite artist for such a long time, but this melted my heart. We laid my 100 year old Nan to rest earlier this year. She was a kindred spirit with this amazing Grandma. She was my treasure and I miss her every day. And this song has made me cry and I remember her and I know I was absolutely blessed to have her.

God bless you Mac for making this song with your grandma. I just lost my grandma she was 101 years young. I was her caregiver and worked as her caregiver. She was very sick in the end and I worked 24 hours a day until I collapsed breaking my arm and hip in the process.
She passed away two weeks later in a home. Nobody could take care of her like I did. I even caught an infection after the surgery and fell into a coma for 22 days. My life has little meaning since her passing I miss her everyday

I keep coming back to this. It reminds me of my great grandmother. She was the brightest soul, and the sweetest person ever. Raising kids on her own (her husband died in 1974), she tried so hard for all her kids. Unfortunately, her Granddaughter passed away March 2019, her son in 2017, her other son in 2019. My great grandmother had some wonderful times here in Australia. She lived through WW2 as a Teenage girl. It wasn’t easy growing up for her, since she went through so much. She had her first child In 1952, and her last in i think 1965. It’s hard for me to remember. She was the most caring grandmother anyone could ask for. I’ll miss you forever GG.

My grandma just left this earth a couple weeks ago to to to her real home in heaven. She was 95. This video inspired me (6 years ago) to help her live her very best life these last 6 years. From dancing to front porch drinking to traveling and more.... yeah, we had an absolute GLORIOUS BLAST! Life is short, live it, don't waste it!! And watch out for our older generations, they NEED US to ensure they are treated right & go out with a bang! They're the best! BE GLORIOUS!
