This song is set at a funeral, and is the prologue into the album. It sets the stage for what is to come. If you continue to do this concept album in order, you are almost guaranteed to be an instant fane forever of The Warning. Then you realize that they released this album when they were only 18, 16 and 13 years old! I have listened to it hundreds of times and still blows my mind how good it is. You will come to the realization that it is useless to have a favorite member or favorite song of The Warning. They are all amazing and will, in time, all win you over. This is the first song off their rock opera Queen of the Murder Scene. It is from the POV of the queen at her funeral. Rudy plays the part of the preacher giving a sermon on salvation. The opera follows woman thorugh unrequited love, obsession, murder, madness and finally suicide. This is the greatest underappreciated rock band of the 21st century. They were independent until July 2020 when they signed a five record deal with Lava/Republic.

The first time I heard this song (this video), I loved it 5-8 seconds into it. Still do, never gets old for me. It shows off every aspect of the band (including the manager!), Ale with her thumping bass, Pau with her drumming and singing, and Dany with her guitar and soaring vocals. Quintessential Warning, as far as I'm concerned.

And if you want your brain to be blown, watch “ evolving of the Warning” classically trained on piano and other equipments, this girls, “ sorry, young ladies “ already reached legendary status. Started writing music by the age of 10 or 12, and I can tell to anyone, they just started up the steamroller. So, me as an old fart never felt so alive since the Beatles started,and now, they become my all time favored musicians. And do not miss understand, that they are females, it’s not just that they are rocking hard, but every songs they wrote, the content is understandable and make us think about life again!

The songs are told from the point of view of either the young lady's inner psychopath or her good side, which has a conscience - until it does not. Dust to Dust is a prologue. The Spanish section is that of a preacher saying that you can receive salvation but it is something that you must work for. The lyrics have deeply religious undertones - life is short and unpredictable (“How quickly things can unfold”); there is an afterlife (“and we shall start again” and “the truth found in death”); we should distrust false prophets (“where are you going? Don’t trust all that you hear”); and judgement (“I don’t seek right or wrong”).
Because I am a religious person, I would have appreciated the Preacher if I could have understood him....however, I can very much appreciate the message in the main parts of the song! Show me more please.....

@@SweenyTV One thing to remember is that the ladies are from Mexico. English is their second language. Additionally, I have not seen it mentioned but all 3 were trained on classical piano before picking up the instruments they are playing here so any of them may play keys when needed. Also, while Dany does the majority of the singing with Pau doing about 25% there have been times when Dany needed a break like if she had a cold (opening for Stryper) in which case Ale may sing lead though she prefers not to. Ale was 13 in this video and 16 in Evolve. She is a bit of an introvert in public though she talks a lot with her sisters and steps up when she needs to. She is also acknowledged by her sisters as being a human metronome as well as being the most proficient piano player of the 3. Something else since you are new to this group is that the Lunario venue is about 7300 ft above sea level so it took more than the usual breath control for Pau to play drums like she does and sing.

Hi from Canada. I’m a huge fan of The Warning ! I just found you today with your reaction to Evolve . I checked out your channel 1, and then listened to your reaction to dust to dust . Loved your reaction to both songs . What’s not to like , and now you have a new subscriber . I have watched these girls from their very humble beginnings . I often go back and watch some of their very first performances at a young age . It is awesome to watch their progress throughout the years. To see them to enter the Sandman it’s truly amazing and beautiful , but if you dig deep enough you’ll even see earlier videos . Daniela and Paulina playing piano together . Later on there is a video of Daniela playing a saxophone at her high school. That is priceless . There is a lot to discover here . One that I very rarely see mentioned that I love is a cover of Resistance by the Muse preformed by The Warning . There’s so much more, however now I’ve run out of time. Catch you later !

Great reaction. This song is from their second full-length album Queen of the Murder Scene that is a concept album. This song is the prologue to the story and you are at the funeral of the character. The person talking is actually their manager, Rudy, who here acts as a priest giving the sermon at the funeral. This song, even as it served as a prologue to the album is really the end of the story and then for 12 consecutive songs you will follow a character going from frustration to obsession to madness and then finally The End. My suggestion (even if you do not react to each song) is that you follow the songs in order as from the album but see them playing each song in order from this live concert. It is a musical theater!! Read the lyrics and you’ll in for very rare treat. Enjoy

"Random" has got to be the most over-used word in the English language. Rudy ( mamager/family friend) was maybe weird to you, but he was in no way random. The thing about focusing on Pau is easily explained. Ale can be center stage with all eyes on her and her body language says "look elsewhere". Paulina could be back stage in the dark behind a curtain and her body language says" look at me". Dany is like Pau only less demanding. Where Dany's body language says "aren't I cool", Pau's say "hell yes! I'm hella cool".
More Warning they have over 30 originals and all are great. I’m old and never seen anything like them. I seen them live at The Whiskey 2020. Flew from Ohio and saw two sold out shows with 9 other countries representing. If you knew Rudy like we TWA does you understand 😂. He had a small part in Titanic

The reason your eye is drawn to Pau, is that among rock stars, she's the superstar! She just has that "it" factor. All the sisters are very talented, but Pau has the advantage that she's a rare drummer that can sing and drum (and drum very energetically while singing), and while Dani has greatly improved over time in her singing, and is a very good singer these days, Pau is still the best singer in the band.
Well if you're a Pau fan, you picked a great place to start looking through their back catalog. Oh, everyone already told you that. I have nothing else to add then, just ENJOY!! She's something else on this one. She plays that high hat like a Stradivarius. Her drumming is top shelf. You'll appreciate how wonderful they all are, I did, and I do. Loved Dany's vocalizations on this. BTW, I'm definitely with you on Pau. I love every one of them, but I can't help placing her first, I've tried. She's very nearly my favorite person on the planet.
You could pick any one of their 35+ original songs and not hear a single clunker, they are all great pieces of music. But as suggested it would be advisable to listen to the whole Queen of the Murder Scene album in order as there is an intriguing story that evolves from song to song...

Hi from Canada. I’m a huge fan of The Warning ! I just found you today with your reaction to Evolve . I checked out your channel 1, and then listened to your reaction to dust to dust . Loved your reaction to both songs . What’s not to like , and now you have a new subscriber . I have watched these girls from their very humble beginnings . I often go back and watch some of their very first performances at a young age . It is awesome to watch their progress throughout the years. To see them to enter the Sandman it’s truly amazing and beautiful , but if you dig deep enough you’ll even see earlier videos . Daniela and Paulina playing piano together . Later on there is a video of Daniela playing a saxophone at her high school. That is priceless . There is a lot to discover here . One that I very rarely see mentioned that I love is a cover of Resistance by the Muse preformed by The Warning . There’s so much more, however now I’ve run out of time. Catch you later !

Great reaction. This song is from their second full-length album Queen of the Murder Scene that is a concept album.
This song is the prologue to the story and you are at the funeral of the character. The person talking is actually their manager, Rudy, who here acts as a priest giving the sermon at the funeral. This song, even as it served as a prologue to the album is really the end of the story and then for 12 consecutive songs you will follow a character going from frustration to obsession to madness and then finally The End. My suggestion (even if you do not react to each song) is that you follow the songs in order as from the album but see them playing each song in order from this live concert. It is a musical theater!! Read the lyrics and you’ll in for very rare treat. Enjoy
The guy that comes in with the speech is Rudy Joffroy, the band's manager; who is portraying the role of the priest preaching salvation at the Queen's funeral. He also directed and produced their "Evolve" video. I've also heard rumors that he played a small part in the movie "Titanic".

Alejandra is only 13 on this. And as being bass player myself, I must say that she is excellent. Not by her age but in general. Well, not anyone ends up as a featured artist of an instrument brand (Spector) in their teens.
They all are excellent in what they do they do. Including song writing.
Her playing on this song really stood out more to me than on Evolve...loved it.

You just entered into a dark story, without knowing it! In 2018, The Warning has build a masterpiece called "Queen of the Murder Scene"! This album is made of 13 songs along 4 chapters, like a book or a Rock opera! “Dust to Dust” is the prologue, which invites the listener into the story and introduces the main character and the main themes - life/death, good/evil, truth/lies, etc. Songs 2 to 5 show her growing obsession, culminating in murder. The remaining songs are told from the point of view of either the young lady's inner psychopath or her good side, which has a conscience - until it does not. Now that you going on the Warning journey, you will love some great songs with pau on vocals and playing the piano, also one of her great cover song its Creep by Radiohead, she's alone on the piano, and that how Creep it's supposed to sound...lol.. and her great voice it's displayed.

"Random" has got to be the most over-used word in the English language. Rudy ( mamager/family friend) was maybe weird to you, but he was in no way random. The thing about focusing on Pau is easily explained. Ale can be center stage with all eyes on her and her body language says "look elsewhere". Paulina could be back stage in the dark behind a curtain and her body language says" look at me". Dany is like Pau only less demanding. Where Dany's body language says "aren't I cool", Pau's say "hell yes! I'm hella cool".

More Warning they have over 30 originals and all are great. I’m old and never seen anything like them. I seen them live at The Whiskey 2020. Flew from Ohio and saw two sold out shows with 9 other countries representing. If you knew Rudy like we TWA does you understand 😂. He had a small part in Titanic

The reason your eye is drawn to Pau, is that among rock stars, she's the superstar! She just has that "it" factor. All the sisters are very talented, but Pau has the advantage that she's a rare drummer that can sing and drum (and drum very energetically while singing), and while Dani has greatly improved over time in her singing, and is a very good singer these days, Pau is still the best singer in the band.

Welcome to The Warning. These girls are all phenomenal. They all sing, play piano, write music. They’re the whole package. Find a playlist of Queen of the Murder Scene and watch in order. It’s a real modern rock opera. It’s amazing to think that this is what they were doing at 18, 16 and 13. And they’re just getting better.
