Good call. I know some people that code that often, all day, and evening. But… it’s not for everyone. As long as you’re learning each day, it doesn’t matter too much if you’re pumping in huge amount of hours. Be kind to yourself!
I was woking as a Data Scientist. I had no boundary between work and personal life. Eventually, I burnt myself out. I started hating what I once love. Then I eventually quit. Currently, I'm jobless. Honestly, I'm anxious to go back to 9-5. My traumatic experience haunts me. I'm trying to rediscover parts of engineering that excites me by working on my own project full time. Meanwhile, I delivering food for living to generate cash flow. In future, I will def not be coding after 5pm or atleast have better time management.
Sounds good, but I feel like the initial grind of coding and learning for long hours is how people get super good in the first place, so they can afford to not code after 5pm later in their career.
After 2pm (lunch basically), my Brains RAM is at full capacity and will create more bugs than solve them haha

Sometimes you have to work past 5 at a 9-5, it’s called a salary.
