That’s the best definition of ego I’ve ever heard.
Ego=Believer.
Because the ego believes in everything it sees, perceives, feels.
Believes it exists.
Everything starts with the belief.
It really struck me as well. I played it back a couple of times just make sure I got it.

He is such incredible teacher. His definition is so clear, and yet I still have to repeatedly rewind, listen, contemplate, rewind, listen, contemplate, again and again. For this truth to sink in cellularly, spiritually, psychologically, I cannot hurry through. This one definition I will stay with for days, weeks, months and still need clarity.

yeah, I think it's also called "social conciousness" as termed in James Gilliland's book...

"You can't pretend they didn't deserve it and you can't pretend they didn't do it. It's a fact they did and they probably do deserve it. But despite that you still forgive them, that's where the jump is."
Define forgiveness, it's true meaning, it's entire spectrum

The Devil doesn't exist , something far greater does.. THE EGO that created the falsehood of the devil. As the " sinister" phrase goes, " the best trick the devil ever played was that it doesn't exist". Turns out that is even more grave when meditated upon. That which created the illusion of the devil is the real trick. We have our spark of the God concious within us and when tuned in correctly, we tune into that eternal supreme and ultimate higher energy of the creator. However when tuned into the 2 or 3 lower energy points of our body we connect with and are run by the void energy of control that is our inner ego. The longer we stay there the more our inner ego energy connects with the outer dark wave of the ego that the mass connects to and then are manipulated by, and down we go." As below , so above". This is a great quote but it never is elaborated upon sufficently and thus leaves many heading in the wrong paths. I hope that this gives some guidance. My interpretation of why then do we have the ego. The ego should only kick in for things like hunger, moments of survival, temporary self identity in balance with the creator but not apart from * this is for the divine creative expression* etc etc even then when it aids us, it can spiral " backwards" out of control if that person is not on a path of balance.............. The Sun gives is life and well being but if we stand in a hot sun for too long to get a tan for esthetic purposes " ego" we burn and we die. BLESS YOU ALL. How do you keep someone in suspense? You tell them later.
In a way if I say and mantra I'm giving my ego to God . What I'm doing is keeping ego in the fore front of my mind. If I want to watch myself I can.
If you ever capture yourself in real time. Like your in the top back corner of the place you are in. Looking down at yourself unattached. All your pretense and acts are right there for you. Ha. once you do this. You can't undo or stop it. You will see you are full of it.
Once you do that. There's nothing more to do about it. It drops away out of the recognition. The doing-ness is in the observation. Ha. it's like training wheels that you never remove but don't need after a long enough time.
You bring this into every differing happing in living. All your answers are in your grasp and never not.
We don't teach children how to be with life.
Obviously the progenitor of centeredness is centered parenting. Isn't it also that Adults now require adult supervision not fathomed less all our comforts, connectivity, and compulsiveness.
On an empty stomach you have only one problem. On a full stomach you have endless problems. They reach as far as your reaching affords.
We've seen this most recently in our highest places of education, among our supposed top newest young minds forwards. What good is intelligence if we won't use it on ourselves?
