the songs from WAW were the scariest imo, just gave a sense of chills, worry, and fear. Even in the zombies mode on Nacht with the dogs barking and sounds from the zombie growling, that alone was enough for younger me to sleep with the lights on 💀

I would love to see a game like World at War (same dark themes and brutal realism) but following a soldier in the German Army fighting on the Eastern Front, they could even do a sequel inspired by the Book Devils Guard set in French Indochina.

Number 4 is semi true on all accounts. The Nazis were trying with everything from the occult to the supernatural. The zombie mode isn't just a random extra mode for no reason... These fuckers legit tried to make attempts at bringing the dead back to life. Also their whole wonder weapon program was also real. They built so much shit that got "lost" (stolen is what I think) or taken away by Americans at the end of WWII. Then there was the Nazi base in Antarctica where they found an entrance that goes into the Earth. Yeah the Nazis were on an ENTIRELY different type of timing.

the pvt Guzzo easter egg is in the missiom Hard Landing. In that mission you have a 3rd main npc that will not die exlcuding polonsky and roebuck. Theres a small chance instead of beinf randomly named, he will be either Rooker from the first mission and relentless or of course Guzzo from cod 3
Awesome content man. WaW is my favorite COD ever. Been playing it over and over again that most of your hidden detail videos don't surprise me. I'm just happy that someone takes time to make content about this heavily underrated masterpiece.
In terms of how dark and gritty it is, yes. Otherwise, I think Big Red One is better in terms of having better characters. But hey, I prefer he older CoDs that aren't garbage (not saying WaW is fyi).

Some weird things i noticed about the signs in vürrukt were that some of the proper asylum signs has weird deutsch messages on them some are pretty damn creepy aswell. One of them says something along the lines of “Defiant children may be served as next canteen meal” or something similar to that, You might wanna check it out. Post note: Also when you turn on the power you can hear weird carousel music over the PA system.

Dude I'm loving this series. I think I'm like a lot of people here who were relatively young when this game came out and maybe didn't appreciate the attention to detail Treyarch put in, and are now also maybe more educated on the war in general. The story slaps, the game was fun, and the music sound effects, voices are incredible. I was too busy loving Zombies to replay the campaign too often!
Damn never knew the music lyrics before. Shits creepy af. Even If I didn't understand the language all these years it definitely makes sense. Adds a supernatural element to the game. Makes you wonder who the owner of that voice is
I wish that was some history about Romănia in a call of duty game. Romănia at the beggining of the war have 2 options, join germany or get killed by the soviets so we join germany.. and go against the soviets. In 44 we turn our guns against the germans, and after the war the soviets take our freedom and establish communism to eastern europe.. something that was very bad. This game is one of my favorite games alongside mafia 2,gta iv, rdr2, rdr1, and many good games. I love world at war, is the moust brutal cod and just give you that war theme. 2:23 - dude this is why world at war and black ops 1 had the best zombies. most of the lore has real elements from history that has been kept "classified" and things etc. even the lore behind nazi zombies was that nazi's experiment gone wrong, and it lead to an undead army. how it strayed so far from those original concepts in the later games really turned me off. it became something too fictional and boring. they should've kept the same scary "nazi" experiment / catastrophe lore for the story, it would've ended up being so much better imo
Fun useless fact (not sure if it work anymore) Number 9 reminded me in the little residence level you can trade the air strike for the ray gun letting you have 3 weapons.
Tho bows and crossbows can be and wery often are lethal they almost newer ewer kill instantly (unlike firearms)... So the wole thing of bow being a stealth weapon is a fantasy trope...
