While the cinematic quality is excellent, the landscape beautiful, my favorite part is the marriage. You got yourself a rock solid partner there buddy. Gwynn is my favorite travel partner of yours.
I'm South African and I'm willing to bet she's also South African. I can just see in her camaraderie ways that she must be from here. A lot of our women have hearts of gold. But, alas you get the others as well.
Wow, just amazing. Thank you for the effort you put in to sharing your adventures. Its great to see you and the wife together. Your love for Africa is very obvious in this series, you are smiling more and seem more at ease.
i enjoy your demeanor when traveling with the missus, you seem very serene, relaxed. and whatta character gwen is, i love her "who wins a prize" made me laugh out loud literally. thanks for sharing.
I did central kalahari this March. It was very wet and we got stuck several times, we were five 20-year-olds in two old cars so we loved getting stuck. Unforgettable experience!
Botswana is a lovely place. Did a similar trip in May Martins Drift=> Makgatigkadi Pans => Kubu Island => Chapman’s baobab => Gweta => Makgatigkadi NP => CKGR => Maun => Moremi => Chobe => Kasane =>. Vic Falls..... it was amazing. When I bought my Landy I started watching your videos and got inspired . Thank you for that👍
Thank you sir. I do agree that sitting quietly in camp is often the best way to see birds (and some small mammals or reptiles) relax and behave normally. The Springbok was super special!
I think this kind of overland trip takes things to the next level. 4x4ing through remote country can be very interesting and watching people tackle difficult terrain also can be entertaining but to film more than just the driving side of a trip add a huge amount of variety and interest. I am fascinated by the total experience of being out in remote places and part of that includes the plants and animals that live there. I really hope this becomes a much bigger part of future adventures. Andrew, I hope you can take your good lady wife on more adventures too. If I tried to get away without my partners I would end up being lynched :)
excellent video Andrew ,as always. try not to be so hard on the lodges , some are an important resource for people overloading as i have witnessed on many occasions in the very areas you are visiting. beautiful Botswana.
Beautiful work Andrew. I love the way you and Gwen bounce of each other. I've tried to do this on a few occasions with cheese and kisses but we have different likes. She's a 5 star person and I prefer millions of stars. Having said that, we have managed a few outback trips without bruises and scratches. Again Andrew, this is magnificent. SA maybe one day!! Looking forward to the next video.
Do you like the front runner chairs? I like how they pack down for storage. I just wonder if they will hold up to the abuse. Most chairs don't even make it through one trip. I have twenty year old Coleman directors chairs but they take up too much space.
My best guess why they don’t put the campsites on the pans is so you don’t see other campers driving past and they don’t see your camp. Certainly gives you the feeling of being there all on your own. We were in central in April and there were 1000’s of ticks. Were they still around with you?
What kind of risk is there where you camp regarding things that eat you and how do you manage it if there are animals like Lions and sitting around the camp fire.
There goes the arvo. I think it would be nice and also entertaining to show the various ummm fees at boarder crossings or river crossing or just a random (we want some money) check point
There are no random we want money check points in Botswana, the pont is P150 to use, he could have driven instead, the border fees are P180 to cross into Botswana with a vehicle :-)

I am liking the personal touch of the banter between Gwen and yourself. Adds a great touch to the video.
Wow, just amazing. Thank you for the effort you put in to sharing your adventures. Its great to see you and the wife together. Your love for Africa is very obvious in this series, you are smiling more and seem more at ease.
Carl Warnett exactly the comments I would put So now I don’t have to :-)
I honestly enjoyed your video , brilliant work. Thank you.

As always Andrew, your Africa trips are inspiring. Thank You!

Much better than those old Mutual of Omaha wildlife shows I watched as a child. Love your videos, so real and down to earth.
excelling story telling!.. I was in south africa last year and I want to be in Botswana soon! It is such a magnificant country!
16:30 oh my god that sony camera HDR is unbelievable. Gorgeous!
Beautiful exposure of the camp fire time lapse.
Great episode Andrew! I loved that Springbok scene!
What a very pleasant video. This is the 4XO I enjoy watching most; you in an environment you so obviously love.
Been looking forward to the next episode. Not disappointed. Great stuff!

Great work, absolutely love it! Please do a video on how you do your Astro photography?!
Hi Andrew, absolutely brilliant film of Botswana. Question: what music are you playing at 12:53? You also used it during your trans-Australia video.
Nice video, Andrew. Great banter....and THAT song again. Please tell me the name of the song.. heard it on one of your previous videos.
Oh my! Did I see Stoney Tangawizi??? (22.36) I need one right now!
excellent video Andrew ,as always. try not to be so hard on the lodges , some are an important resource for people overloading as i have witnessed on many occasions in the very areas you are visiting.

Thanks for sharing this ex south african living in New Zealand
English-Australian living in Australia.
Nice!!!! Loving your work Andrew, can I call you Andrew? lol Cheers Steve
Do you like the front runner chairs? I like how they pack down for storage. I just wonder if they will hold up to the abuse. Most chairs don't even make it through one trip. I have twenty year old Coleman directors chairs but they take up too much space.
Compact, quite comfortable, but I don't think they will take much abuse.
Thank you.
Best part of this series is watching their banter. I love my wife like that
We need more traveling with Gwen. I enjoy the banter!

Good day Andrew. I am looking for episode 3, but can not find it..... Do you still have to film it?
Episodes 3-10 will be released from October at one ep per week. Or earlier: www.patreon.com/Andrew_StPierre_White
4xoverland thank you Andrew. I look forward to them....!!!
I miss the drone
For open pictures
Why did the water return to the river?
C7 GT1
I guess open dam or wither changing
Experience more rainfall. Climate can change for a couple years/decades
drought.
I'm agree with Gwynn, the previous episode is the best.
Episodes 4,6 and 10 are the best :-)
that 70 series has a sunroof ! cheez we dont get sunroof version here ! so jelaous
An arm load of Coke. 22:35 😂
What kind of risk is there where you camp regarding things that eat you and how do you manage it if there are animals like Lions and sitting around the camp fire.
go to bed early
A tin of Lucky Star and a half white for lunch. Sea food bunny chow!
How far would you walk from your vehicle in a place like Botswana?
Kill was definitely a hyena!!!
I was thinking that too. Is it by the shape of the jaw you can tell?
@@overland-workshop Jaw, teeth structure and the fur, never seen one in the ckgr though, would've been nice to see alive!
Brown Hyena I suspect as it has a mane...
I agree. Looked very much like a hyena.
ASPW I like your humor very much but 'Gwynnie' wins. thank you for this inside view.
I have no problem with that :-)
2loves together make the wild want 2 B with ya! Love ya!
do you know FirstAid
15:40 not wearing seatbelt. Good on ya.
Drive it like you stole it!
no flies? aaa to bad
I still think the pelican holds the heavyweight title for bird flight.
not according to Wiki.
Crimsonbreasted shrike not boubou
So that river has remained with water for 10 years because you poured a bottle of water in at it's end?
I wish I had paid attention in physics!
That dead animal at 8:40 looks like a hyena judging by the head and teeth but you're right, it's very hard to tell
Max Weidenbach Brown Hyena perhaps (Strandwolf)?
There goes the arvo.
