@rixxy9204 No, a dev replied a similar question saying that at the launch of the update there won't be any AI anti air defence. But they added two manual anti air flak guns (one for each faction), and gave some existing emplaced machine guns the option to fire to the air. They also said that they will certantly add anti air specialize vehicles and considering the implementation of Ai defences like anti air pillbox and bunker pieces Edit: they also said there Will be a new type of pillbox, but not much details for now, on the reddit Q&A they are answering some questions about the update
I remember how before Inferno we said that they would never add trains, because it would require rebuilding the map for railways, it’s complicated and no one will do it. I have a lot of gratitude towards the developer, a lot, unexpectedly, and always better than expected.
Been a part of the game since the rotating map days, and all i can say is i am so genuinely amazed and proud at how far the dev team has taken the game! Heres to another great update and to the many wars to come!

I haven't played Foxhole in over 2 years so I guess its time to finally return! This update is MASSIVE. Can't wait to escort a stricken Colonial bomber back to its base as a Warden, or obliterate a Colonial carrier in a dive bomber at the battle of Midway(The Fingers). Thank you Siege camp, this looks incredible
I'd rather they spend some time doing whatever crazy wizardry that they do to beef up the player cap up from 120v120, or was it 160v160? to something more obscene on a per-hex basis, as well as spitball ideas to help logi get through. The logi ideas are all going to be crapshots, but throw enough stuff at the wall and something is going to stick eventually... that and make resistance phase good. It was scrapped so early on in development, and it would be nice if it was either brought back into proper form, transformed into something better, or scrapped entirely in favor of either an entirely new system, or bring back the old skirmish matches when all things and logi were done in-hex. Something to make it meaningful and useful, and I'm willing to accept things being thrown at the wall until something sticks.
Another year, another trailer for my beloved Foxhole. It's been one of the greatest honors and privileges of my gaming career to lend my voice for the project. Thank you Siege Camp, and I can't wait to see it all come together!
I can already see how everyone on the plane disconnects one by one due to bad server and one guy tries to save the plane from crash before he disconnects too
Without allowing a degree of specialization and a guided onboarding, Foxhole ends up relying almost entirely on established clans to function. This heavily undermines a newcomer’s ability to integrate and experience the game at its full potential and now with the Airborne release adding a whole layer of coordinated air warfare, that gap just feels even bigger.

Foxhole advertises a persistent war experience, not mandatory clan participation or long-term social obligations. If core systems only shine once you join a clan, that’s not a player issue that’s an onboarding and design gap.

Foxhole is presented as a persistent war sandbox, not as a game that requires joining semi-organized communities to function properly. Relying on players to self-organize socially to access core gameplay is a design choice and it’s not one that works equally well for everyone.
@Daxored i probably have 90% solo and 10% clan gameplay, and still enjoy the game a lot, i get into some tanks every now and then, participate at landing, helping for Qrf, doing logi run, making small bunker system ... There is soo much different things to do in this game and most of it can be done solo, now yes there some big asset that ultimately require a team/multiple person working together to be achieve, and yes that's totally part of the game and definitely how it is advertise ^^ That make those big asset really valuable and rare, so when you see one you are like Wow This game is a 10 years long development whit thousand of ppl playing almost every day, that's quite an achievement
I don't know why I haven't heard of Foxhole before but I'm so glad this video came across my YT recommended videos. I picked up the game, deployed to a frontline, was confused on how to help a squad build a crane and ended up punching steel while everyone else was hammering, then yeeted myself into combat and immediately died. 10/10 will play this again.
0:30 - I really hope there’s a colonial version cuz Wardens having a naval torpedo plane is just leaning too much again into their naval aspects, imo. Should balance out the counters for both since they have a strong naval presence as is.
Having a naval plane is actually bad for Wardens, because the sole purpose of it is to be a worse version of a regular fighter plane, which Wardens can't use on their aircraft carrier, while Colonials can. On the devstream they said that the naval plane has worse flight specifications than the regular ones. Also, colonials will be able launch torpedos with their light bomber. So the only advantage of this extra warden plane is its capability of landing on water, which, let's agree, is not that crazy.
@gorpnar Guess time will tell. Maybe it’ll make it easier to not need a carrier if your planes can just sit in the open water before an invasion is launched. Or they start becoming sea crows, ready to quickly intercept or peck a ship on the water once coming into map detection. Maybe not, but the meta is sure to change real soon
@gorpnar Landing on water is not that crazy yes, but their carrier can pick up their planes and back onto the ship especially from what I see is 2 cranes, Colonial carriers can have its plane land as well but there would be a queue unless one wants to risk collision with another plane on the flight deck Mind you that they also showed Seaplanes by the shipyard meaning you could probably restore the planes HP from there meaning they can rearm at docks made by players. Unlike planes that would require airfields. I'd assume seaplanes have terrible fuel efficiency, compared to airfield planes. All in all its assymetric, you had the Colonial sub able to rearm and the Warden needing to get to a drydock, now we got versatile Warden Planes to Colonial planes needing to land back on an airfield. Lets just see what they do on devbranch as the devs mentioned there were alot missed out on the stream.
Gotta wonder how the guys managing all the factories are gonna feel about the increase of production orders and threat directly to their base of operations.
