Acts 1:6 - 11
1. WORLD EVANGELIZATION
Mk 16:15. Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Declare, announce, proclaim, bring to awareness - the content is THE GOSPEL of SALVATION. A revelation of the Father's Love revealed through the substitutionary work Jesus Christ. Man, and creation is the object of the sacrifice, anyone who believes is saved. The location is the entire Globe - everywhere men can be found. Jesus instructs on What, The Content, Audience but allowed the How/Strategy to be flexible depending on the age/time.
2. DISCIPLESHIP
Teaching them to observe. The mentorship of believers to attain maturity and stature through doctrine. Helping believers understanding the principles of the Kingdom through the teaching ministry. The end product of discipleship is personal transformation and maturity. Discipleship is an authorized place of convergence - Ecclesia - purpose of Church to be effective witnesses and agents of transformation. Do not ignore DISCIPLESHIP - this results in decay. The end of Discipleship is not slavery and subjugation but LIBERTY by communication of DOCTRINE. Personal transformation and maturity.
3. TERRITORIAL/SOCIETAL TRANSFORMATION
That the Gospel as proposed, penetrates systems and structures. Transforms society.
A. Impact on the moral fabric of society as light. A change in the overall change - crime, disobedience, decadence diminished. Pillar and ground of truth - efficiency and effectiveness of our communication. Revival and awakening e.g. Acts 19 - Magic books. Jesus affected people like Zacchaeus and others. Impact of the society on practical ways - transformation and an agent of positive change. Men become nations.
The hospitals and prison should see the mandate of the gospel not fanaticism. These are they that TURN THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN (Acts 17:5) Light of the World not just light of the church. Add joy in the lives of others, pulpit is about 30%...let the men see the good deeds and light.
B. Impact on the quality of lives of the people in that area. John 10:10, have life in abundance. Matt 14:16, portrait of the holistic Gospel - not just spiritual health but quality and well-being of the believers - Balanced Gospel.
