This past time I didn't I just greased it up good, and let it fill itself up.and everything worked well, so safe to say I guess it's at your own discretion whatever you feel comfortable doing won't hurt either way seems like..
Some oil filter wrenches wont grab small filters because they are meant for bigger ones. But if you have the correct size wrench. Put it over the filter and turn it counter clockwise while holding the strap and it will grab. If not, add something to take up the space so it will grab
@@AdamEdwardokay so just now my oil just spilled out the whole car and I’m pretty sure my oil filter was on perfect but now I just went to buy more oil and I have the same filter so when do I know it’s sealed on and good
Tip. Put a gallon size ziploc bag around the filter then spin it off. It will catch all the oil.

My plug was 15mm hex or star bit. It was slightly rounded. If I had known it was star bit, I would have gone that route.

do you have to use mobil1 brand or can you use the quaker state brand? didn't know if there was a requirement that it has to be mobil 1
Any Dexos oil, brand doesn't matter.

@@mikeypolo12 You don't need to fill the oil filter. You did it just fine, lubricating the oil gasket is all that is needed when replacing.

A car jack or ramps from auto parts store or hardware store. Be super careful & research how to do it cause u could get hurt or killed.

You're supposed to fill the filter with oil unless it upside down or sideways.
not necessarily, either way works
When you add oil to the engine, it will go to the filter either way.
This has been debunked, there is no risk not prefilling the filter.
